Jake looked at Aine "aine... Aine!" Jake moved to her side and placed her head on his lap "come on Aine wake up... please don't die" he said as he cried a bit

Jill finished eatting half the deer and she too moved over to Aine "we need to get a fire started and we need to keep her warm" she said as she rubbed her stumoch "Jake... she will be ok" she said as she knelt beside him and held onto his shoulder

Nick looked over at Aine and felt her forehead. "Ye ow!" HE said pulling it back. "She be burrning up something fearce. Jake I need you to go to the lagoon and get some water for her, I will get the wood. Jill stay and make sure nothing happens too her." Nick said taking the roll of leader in the group

Jill looked at Nick "but she was cold ealier... that means i got it wrong... if you had listened to me she would have died" she said looking at Aine "im sorry Aine" she said as she kept at a slight distance so he body wouldn't heat Aine up any more

Jake nodded as he picked up a container and ran to the lagoon as fast as he could, he collected as much water as he could and he ran back again "g...g...got the w...water" he said out of breath

Nick ran out to the forest and returned with fire wood and ran back to camp and place it there fire pit. "Jill can you light it up?" He asked standing away.

Aine groand, and licked her lips and open her eyes slightly. "Jake." She croked out.

Jake ran next to her and put her head on his lap again "im here Aine, im always here for you" he said as tears started to form in his eyes a bit

Jill sent out a small flame and she sat staring at the flames

Aine smiled and looked up. "Jake dont cry." SHe whispered.

Nick kissed jill on the cheak. he lurned never to kiss her on the lips after she spew out fire last minth, when he alost burnt his toung off.

Jake sniffled "but i never have liked seeing you like this... i feel powerless to help... im just a human... i have no healing powers" he looked at Nick "wait... you have healing powers don't you?"

Jill blushed and smiled "you have learned you lesson then" he giggled as he stroked his face with her hand

Nick smiled and cupped her cheek with his. "Yes i have love." he said and then looked at jake. "I can heal you and I, I dont know how to heal shapeshifters or halfdragons."


Aine smiled and closed her eyes agian so she could sleep. "Its okay, jake." She said groggerly. "You are my hero in my book." She feel into a deep sleep.

Jake smiled as she fell asleep, he looked at Nick and Jill "my new life i better... and its thanks to you two that it was posible for me to have it" he said smiling

Jill looked Jake a little confused "new life as in out in the wild?... or something else?"

Nick looked at jake with confusion. "What new life?" He asked

Jake chuckled and shook his head a bit, he pointed to his whole body "the human life" he said as he giggled a bit

Nick raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean human life?" he asked. "Your still an inflater."

Jake chuckled and shook his head "i am not going to lie... i haven't used my powers for a long time... and i errrrr... forgot how to use them" he giggled again "atleast now we can all be happy with out me getting in the way

Nick laughed and placed a hand on jakes shoulder. "Now thats a good thing." He said with a smile.

Jake nodded "i guese it is... i mean, what does inflating come in handy for?... nothing" he giggled again

"Not true." Nick said sitting down. "There was a great worrier named Grant, he was an inflater. one of the best worrors ever, he gave up everything tho for his family."

Jake looked at him "really?... but thats because he was a warrior, swords and sheilds, thats what warriors use"

"Nope, his powers where his grates assest." He said with a smile. "Its said he would inflate as he was bout to get hit with sword and kill his enamy by it."

Jake looked a little confused "hang on... swords are sharp... how did his body suvive a sword stike?" he asked looking at his body "and could my powers protect us too?"

"That i dont know," He said. "No one knows what he did. All tho they say he has a doughter who will carry on his lagasy at protecting the roaly family."

Jakes mind kicked in and he looked at Aine "that was Aine's dad" he looked at Nick "whats the point me having my powers though? im not Grant... i would be burst within seconds... i would rather not have them... Jake the human sounds way better"

Nicks eyes widen. "You mean, Aine is the daughter of Grant the Hero." Nick said with shock.

Jake nodded "thats her alright" he looked down at Aine "the one and only Aine"

Nick looked at aine and then at jake. Bit that would make jake... Nick thought as he looked at Jake. "Well she is lucky, but i dont understand. She said you two where banshed, if that is true her father should have stopped them." Nick said with confusion

Jake shook his head and looked sad "her father hasn't been seen for over 10 years" he said looking at Nick "we all predict he is dead"
