OK, I might not know enough to even attempt this, but here goes...

I wanted to make a quest bar for my signature with a gold amount that updates itself based on linking to my account. Does that make any sense? I know I can do that with my avatar, but of course that coding is a little different. :XD

Hopefully someone (dev?) knows, or if someone who knows what the heck I am talking about and can explain this better than I can, that would be great, too! :sweat:

I know what you're talking about, but I have no idea if/how it can be done. It would certainly be a neat thing to do, I've thought of the same thing before, and resorted to just manually updating a progress bar.

I'd say that there's no physical way that that could be done. Your avatar is an image, so if you hotlink to it it will change as your alter your outfit.
Linking to text isn't the same thing at all, it would need for your gold amount to be an image also, I'd imagine. Though I don't actually have any clue what I'm talking about.

It's not quite so cut and dry, because in order for the site to display your gold under your name, and under your avatar, and when you make a purchase at the store, etc, etc, it has to use an internal variable to store and retrieve that number. Unfortunately, being internal means you can't use it for anything. :)

That doesn't mean that Inso couldn't write a bbcode that points to that particular variable, though, unless I've completely missed my guess.
