Trying to manipulate a doctor into prescribing it for someone, sounds like that person might have even bigger problems, you know? :)

Not necessarily. I have so much trouble getting help for my EDS because it's rare, so not many doctors have heard of it or understand what can happen due to it. Many docs are also against the use of medical marijuana even in states where it's legal so they would not refer you to the dispensary.

I really don't know about the UK, only about the US and even then it varies state to state, even in ones where it's legal.
