In a manner of speaking...Getting the flu from a flu shot is impossible though, unless it's a living flu shot, but those are used less frequently, and only given to already really healthy people...or their doctor is an idiot.
What a vaccine is is basically a DEAD bacteria in a vile with lots of other dead bacteria. It enters your system and then your body produces white blood cells to defend against them, but they're already dead so they're very easy to "destroy". And now because your body knows how to beat those bacteria, you're better defended against a living infection.
