No, the flu shots are inactivated (killed), so it can't give you an infection. The flu mist, which I personally despise, is a weakened one. Both are to build up your immunity against the virus.

I don't let my daughter get shots unless there absolutely needed. I Hate shots...

I know, but they act like OF COURSE I need my flu shots. Duh. I've always gotten "religious exemptions" though.

There are activated vaccines, but they're changed to be weakened.

I used to be terrified of needles. After becoming a human pincushion, they don't bug me anymore...

I'm medic and really short...so it's amusing to see guys way bigger and older than me at the point of passing out when I have to give them shots.

I don't mind needles. I have to get blood drawn every 6 months anyways.

I'm considering getting the meningitus one though, because that is nasty.
