Now, before you read the title and think I'm crazy, I really mean it.

I've never actually seen a band play live, for example, but when I see a good video on Youtube of a crowd singing along to something, I can't help but feel so connected to those people.

Here's an example. ;D

So, what about you ?

Do you ever feel connected to people ?

Like, when there's a natural disaster and everybody pitches in to help rebuild the community ?

Or when you see a band of people fighting to change something for the better ?

No, don't worry, it isn't you. I often have it, that I am jumping in my seat because I want to just join the crowd, despite the fact that I'm not actually there.

I don't exactly feel connected at concerts, though I LOVE going to concerts. ^^
I went to this one underground rave though and I felt super connected to the people around me...
and no, I wasn't on drugs. I was just drinkin beer and enjoying the moment.

I get that way sometimes, mostly when I see people at a concert I wish I could have attended and everyone is just having a good time. And whenever my favorite singer starts talking to the crowd and she's saying such motivational things it makes me feel as though she's talking to me and I'm just so happy.

There's this local band around here called Taproot. I've been going to their shows for almost 7 years now and have met some of the coolest people through their concerts. It's become more than just going to a concert and seeing a band play, it's more like a family setting. I used to be like that with some Taking Back Sunday fans as well but have stopped going to their shows a few years ago. I tend to talk to people and make friends in line and after the show. Concerts are a great way to connect with people.

There are some people who's music I can feel connected to.
It's very rare but it happens.
Like this one musician I'm friends with, his music is intelligent and fun.
Not only do I like it but I hear myself in it.

Also, in high school band, I totally felt connected to everyone because we came together as a diverse group of angsty high schoolers and made something awesome... and won a lot for it too.
