I'm not currently dating anyone so I can't comment on the current boyfriend doing something nice thing. But I have a few people I consider best friends from different parts of my life and they are always doing sweet things for me. From taking me out to see a movie because my boyfriend and I break up to chipping in to drawing me pictures when I'm feeling down or even for not reason to buying me a nintendo DS for my birthday because all my friends had one and I didn't. I couldn't ask for better best friends and I will always love them :D

As Nerdy as it sounds, Last Christmas, My boyfriend got me the one thing I wanted: A Wii. He got a bunch of accessories or it and a few games too. The cute thing about it was that I actually almost cried when I opened the box because he made it seem like he couldn't afford it so I was totally surprised.

I think everything my boyfriend does for me is sweet. My favorite gift from him was a charcoal sketch he did of us based on a photograph that we took in New York :)

For his birthday, I gathered up all my funds and got him a nice classical guitar. Playing guitar is his favorite thing to do and he wanted a classical. I also made him a painting of his favorite animal, a tiger. I think he about fainted.

For Christmas I have a stocking full of his favorite shower stuff. And I got him a new sketchpad and oil pastels. :)

That's so sweet, Saro! :D

This year my boyfriend is flying me out to California to spent new years with him. :] Then we're taking a road trip back to Oklahoma and sight-seeing... I'm super excited!

Best thing my girlfriend ever said: "Hey... we've been dancing around this 'are you gay' thing for about four years now. Wanna be my girlfriend?"

Aww. :) that's really cute actually. I find that very few people understand me enough to notice things like that, without me telling them. I have had people not realize I'm bi-polar for months, and then flip out on me about how moody I am. I warned my current girlfriend about my bi-polar, my stubbornness, my rather feminine habit of cooking, sewing, and all that, and of course I warned her that, let's face it... I'm clingy. Lol. she still wanted me, and weirdly enough, she seems to like all of those things about me. I love her like crazy because of it too. :)

I'm thinking about immortalizing our cute little love story in comic form. One of my friends is like "Its JUST like a shojo manga." xDD

I'm thinking about proposing, actually. I've got this cute promise ring picked out from Etsy and all I need is her ring size. I'm a little hesitant right now, though, because we're not in the best of financial situations... and while that doesn't make it any harder in actuality, its really wearing on her anxiety issues. >>

Ah... that does cause a bit of a dilemma, doesn't it.

You could always tell her, that you're doing it now because you want her to know that no matter what the circumstances around you, you want to be with her forever. Whether there's money or not, even if you were dirt poor.

...I speech a lot.

Yup! And that's what I've been telling her, but it means something else when its a proposal.

-also has severe anxiety issues-

It falls to this. Do you love her? Does she love you? Can you live without each other? Do you want to be together forever? Do you know each other well enough to be sure it will work forever? If your answers were yes, yes, no, yes, yes, then you should ask her, and If you are worrying about it too much, have her read this. lol. I understand Anxiety issues. I have a stress disorder. If I worry, or get stressed, I get sick. I still said yes when I was asked out, and I still asked her to marry me. (but that last bit is a secret, her family can't know for a few months here. lol. ) She said yes by the way. :)

Naw, see.... I'm going to do it. xD

I just need to get the ring and get over my silly anxiety. Anxiety is a little more complicated than "I don't know if this will work out." Its more like "I know that this will work out, but can't stop shaking or stammering enough to make a comprehensible proposal."

I know. :) Just force yourself to do it. Like jumping into a pool, when you know the water is gonna be cold. It's all better once it's happened. And of course you wonder why you worried in the first place. :)

How's this. You can't get a home run, if you don't just swing the bat. So even if you're not sure, even if you're worried, even if you're petrified, and shaking in your shoes, you have to swing the bat. So swing for the fences.

...And yes, I realize it's a baseball metaphor, and therefore a cliche. But it's apt isn't it?

Your girlfriend sounds awesome, saro! :D You must feel like the luckiest guy on earth. Have you done any digital artwork with your tablet yet? What program are you gonna use? *curious because I'm an artist*

I'm not sure I can pick a single thing as the sweetest my girlfriend (well... almost-girlfriend) has ever done for me, but just talking to her everyday makes me feel loved. :3

I've done a little art, but I'm still getting used to the tablet. XD I have this thing, where my hands aren't connected to my brain quite right, and that makes it hard. I just have the software that came with it, but A friend sent me a link to get something better. Merry Christmas by the way. :)

Oh yeah? That sucks. :/ Tablets are pretty hard to get used to even without that tho, but just keep practicing! You'll get the hang of it eventually. Did they tell you to try GIMP? I never much liked it because I was too lazy to learn how to use it, but I hear it's a pretty good program. And Tegaki is pretty good too, for a browser-based art program. Merry christmas!

The software my friend recommend is paintool sai. Never used it myself, but he claims it's awesome. :)

Sai is amazing, aaaaah! I want it so bad, more than anything. <3 Unfortunately, I've got a Mac and Sai isn't compatible, so I'm stuck with Photoshop. :/ Sai's pretty expensive, though, so I just assumed your friend had referred you to a free program.
