True Story... It even said 'Hipster Mustache' at the top and on the back had instructions on how to be a hipster! Wanna know something crazy? 1, I'm a girl and B, I said 'yes' to like 8/10 of the 'are you a hipster?' quiz on the back. @ - @ I feel kinda ironic.

So... Discuss?

1. Mustaches
B. Bad Gifts
Ω. Wacky Gift Experiences
☂. Anything Else! :D

Har, I got my friend a fake mustache for his birthday. It came in a little capsule from a capsule machine at the burrito shop, which is a pretty hipster way to get something. Of course, all my friends are hipsters.

Here are the gifts I got for my friends:
~A framed and signed setlist from the violinist of Arcade Fire
~Polaroid instant-film
~A fleece 'where the wild things are' hat, with ears and a felt crown
~A Giant Robot gift-card.

And these are all for different people! Hipsters, the lot of us. I'm curious as to what the hipster test was...

Hmm... I think mine came from Spencer's and it's huge. I've had one out of the capsule machines though! I had to wear it to orchestra practice.

Those gifts sound really awesome... I got one of my friends a pink bunny hat that's made out of fleece. ;D

I honestly didn't think I was a hipster. XD I just... kinda wear what I want to... o ___ o''' But, I'll try to post the test later. It was still kinda funny. XP I laughed pretty hard at it, acutally.

got sent this a couple days too.... YouTube - The Hipster Song

I don't like hate hipsters, they make me want to punch them in the faces and tell them the definition of ironic.

Facts:
The whole trend of glasses without lenses is stupid looking, flannel in the summer is NOT cool, no one wants to kiss that bird's nest of a beard and Pabst is a disgusting beer.

Lol.... So here's the hipster test I was talking about that's on the back of my mustache box. It's like... 'how to look like a hipster' and it made me Lol.

1. Make sure your hair is tousled and unkempt.
2. wear sunglasses that are either really big or really ugly or both.
3. Carry a dirty messenger bag that's big enough to carry your vinyl records (for your collection.)
4. Always wear a scarf.
5. Only by clothes that are uncomfortably small and/or tight.
6. Get rid of your earbuds and use giant, oversized headphones.
7. Project an air of bored superiority.
8. Hold a can of cheap beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
9. Ride a bike everywhere.
10. Grow a real mustache or wear this fake one (applies to both guys and girls.)

So, My answers were:
1. Yes - But it's always like that since it's in shaggy layers and I don't have my flat iron > _ >
2. Yes - But small sunglasses make me look like bono... and yes, in a bad way.
3. Yes - But the bag is old and the only one that can fit my laptop in it.... I own no vinyl except for the 99 luft balloons disk and the record that my aunt melted into a bowl for me.
4. Yes - It's winter, and my neck is cold.
5. Kinda - I wear skinny jeans, but they're comfortable.
6. Yes - I own skullcandy lowriders, but I still have earbuds for working out.
7. No.
8. No.
9. Kinda - I ride a bike when I'm on campus.
10. Kinda - Since it's on the mustache box. XD

I used to wear fake mustaches back when I was in high school. That was before the whole "hipster" phase was popular...well more like 10 years ago. I just thought the whole thing was funny and I also used to stick them on my friend's butt just to annoy her. We'd also make fake mustaches out of paper and tape them all over. I forgot what started the whole thing but it went on for nearly a whole school year.

A few months ago I was out shopping with my boyfriend and one of my friends and we went into the dollar store. They had some capsule machines in there and we were looking at the stuff inside and one of them had fake mustaches. My friend said if I'd pay for it she'd wear one. XD It was only a quarter so I made her do it. It was hilarious. Every time we passed by people they would laugh at her. And then there were these girls who were apparently on a scavenger hunt and needed to find a person who looked like both a man and a woman. XD So they took a picture with her. After that we went into Best Buy and she needed to return something and she went up to the return counter and returned it while wearing that mustache, and then we walked around the store a bit and an employee said something about it too. Eventually she took it off and we stuck it on this big cardboard cutout of the Mad Hatter that was part of a display for Alice in Wonderland DVDs. XD It looked so funny. The best part was, a week or so later we went back to Best Buy to see if the mustache was still there. It wasn't, but one of the employees saw that we were looking at the Mad Hatter and talking and laughing and he asked if we were looking for the mustache!

That reminds me of the time when I was given a Rabbi set for Christmas too. The set included a beard, curls and an awesome mustache. Unfortunately, the mustache lost the stickiness and I lost the rest. Good times, I made a lot of funny pictures with that set.

I'd love to have a mustache of my very own. I may have to make one at some point, because we all know that mustache adds +10 awesome to everything.

I think I'm in love with you. xD

Really... I think that most of the people I know drink PBR just because it's cheap, but I do know a handful who drink it to be "indie hipster" or whatever they call themselves now.

Also... I'm a closet fan of Hipster Hitler. :c

Hipster Hitler on PBR.

My brother (who is 18 and can't grow a beard it seems) got a set of five stick-on moustaches for Christmas from our 16-year-old brother, plus a moustache trimming set, with comb and scissors.
One of them fit his haircolour perfectly, he wore it on Christmas Eve and looked like a German pornstar. We all tried it and none of us looked as ridiculous as he did with it.. including our mum.
