One of the first things I did when joining the site was browse the shops. I didn't really notice a way to track items I really liked in an organized manner.

I added them to my cart, and now I can see all of them...but there is no way to link them back to the shop I found them from, or keep them sorted in any other place aside from my cart.

It would be nice to have a wishlist or wanted list set aside so when you browse through the shops, you can set the item aside. Especially if its an unrealistic purchase for the time being for that user.

If items that were in your cart had links back to the shop, that wouldn't be bad either.

did I possibly just over look a feature similar to a wishlist?

No, there is no feature like that, and I do believe a search feature for the shops has been suggested before. I'm not sure about a public wishlsit though, but I do agree it would be good! I could finally gift people without having to ask them what they want. lol

I like the idea of a wish list too. I also like the idea of a gift button for users. On another site I used to participate in a "Secret Santa" type thing and it was a lot of fun to do but Mene doesn't really have that option to not know who sent the gift.

I cannot provide input on how doable this suggestion is, but I will say that a lot of people use a quest list to track what items they want, so you could do so that way. It takes a bit of time to compile, but so would going through the shops adding things to your wishlist. So provided your friend has a quest thread, you can very easily see what they might like as a pressie. :)
