"It takes so much longer, and I don't have to be cooped up--I can swim alongside the boat during the day..." Léan seemed to be more comfortable talking about traveling by sea. "But...it takes so long. And Shadow gets seasick, remember."
Shadow didn't get seasick on short trips by boat. Trips that lasted more than three days tended to upset his stomach, and he was constantly seasick. A miserable Shadow was a snappy Shadow, and no one liked to see the man angry.
Shadow was content to snuggle for now unless one of them mustered up the energy to do something a little more. He doubted it would happen soon. They were both lazy in the rain, and half-asleep.
Alfie's tail twitched when Gian rubbed his toe against its scales, but Alfie himself didn't stir. He was dead to the world, sleeping like a log. It was a shock that he wasn't snoring. He usually only snored when he slept somewhere other than his nest.

Kratos grunted. Then, that was Shadow's problem. It wasn't any of theirs. Hell, Hebs could be the one to take in all that anger or maybe make Shadow more comfortable in bed. At least, that was how Kratos thought about it. Looking out at the rain and pursing his lips a little, he sighed and moved to sit by the pool and lean against the crate. Kratos reached out to have the tips of his fingers glide along the surface while he turned to look at Léan. Surely, Léan wouldn't mind him touching his water, would he?
Hebs, indeed, won't be moving any time soon. He had fallen asleep again with Shadow so close to him. These were one of the few times where Hebs wasn't the first one up. Gian, unlike Hebs, had woken up with the naga's tail twitching like that. It had him continuing to stroke the others' tail while he kissed his chin. Now that he was more awake, he could hear the raindrops as they drummed onto the tent. It was noisy and he didnt like it at all. sighing quietly, the male rested his forehead against Alfie's chest and let his fingers stroke the end of the others' spine.

Léan glanced up at Kratos idly, not seeming to mind that he was touching his water. He looked like he was getting bored in his tank--rain always seemed to fill him with a strange, impatient sort of energy. For once, he actually wanted to do something active or fun. Usually, the siren was just content to sleep all day in his aquarium. It was rare when he was the one wanting to do something to pass the time...
Shadow followed Hebs in sleep, lulled back into slumber by the sound of rain.
Alfie stirred slightly when the other ran his fingers down his spine. "Mm..." He sounded groggy, still asleep. "...It's raining..." he muttered, his voice thick with drowsiness. His eyes were still closed, and he was just barely awake. But he was awake, now...it wouldn't take too much provocation to stir him out of bed and into action.

Kratos could see the boredom in Léan's face and he motioned for him to come closer. Shifting a little so the soles of his feet would be at the edge of the aquarium, he rested his elbows on his knees and leaned forward a bit. "You look bored." It was more of a statement than a question.
Gian nodded at that. "It is," he replied, his own voice laced and heavy with sleep. He continued to stroke with his spine and he lightly nuzzled his collarbone with his lips. He was starting to wake up but his body refused to leave the comfort Alfie's body provided. "And, quiet." It was uneventful. Unlike his first few days at the freak community, he only saw them more each day as humans who lived, cried, breathed and loved. They weren't any different to his kin at all.

Léan lazily drifted up towards the surface of the aquarium, coming right up to Kratos and resting his arms on the floor in front of him, proceeding to rest his head on his arms. He looked incredibly bored, indeed. "Rain makes me want to get up and do something."
"Mm-hm..." Alfie stretched himself out, and by instinct his tail wrapped more around Gian and tugged him closer. "...We should do something fun today, inside. The rain will make us all bored, keeping us all cooped up in here...and I know Shadow's not gonna get out of bed. He hates rain..."

Gian smiled at that tail of his wrapping around him and tugging him closer. He didn't complain at all. In fact, he welcomed it. Kissing the naga's neck, he shifted a little to prop himself up on his elbow. He also rested his chin on the others' arm. "A game," was the first thing that came into his head before he'd yawned, "Hmm." Tilting his head a bit, he slid his eyes shut and recommended a few.
"Truth or Dare or maybe a Would you Rather game?" They were games he frequently played with his classmates back at school. "We should also invite both Kratos and Léan..."
Kratos reached out to give the merman's nose a little tap at the tip. "Like what?" he asked as he leaned back a bit and put his hands on the ground to put some of his weight on them.

"Maybe we could combine them?" Alfie suddenly looked excited. "Léan gets antsy when it rains, so he and Kratos will probably be up. Why don't we see if they want to join in? They'll be especially fun to play with...Léan better not revert to his overly-sensitive...ness, though. I'll get annoyed..."
Léan wrinkled his nose at Kratos when it was tapped. "Something indoors...something somewhat quiet. I don't think Shadow is going to get up at all today. He gets lazy and pissed off when it rains..."

Gian looked surprised as he turned to look at Alfie. When he saw his excitement, he could only bring himself to laugh. "Sounds good to me," he said with a bright grin before he'd reached out to run his fingers through Alfie's hair, "And I'm sure Kratos will lay that low." Their merman and Kratos seem to be getting along well after all.
"C'mon. Let's go get them and then crash into Shadow's room."
Kratos grunted. "He's always on a male PMS." Slowly getting up to his feet, he dusted his back and rolled his sleeves up halfway. Taking the crate, he put it aside and looked up at the tank. Apparently, they hadn't gotten rid of the water yet and the life man crossed his arms over his chest for a second or two. He was thinking about what to do with it.

Alfie groaned, not feeling happy about having to get out of bed. He stretched his arms out wide before he finally shifted over towards the side of the bed, letting his tail uncoil from around Gian. It spilled out onto the floor in a heap, and his upper body slowly followed. He yawned as he drifted over towards the door. "Let's go fetch 'em, then, before I change my mind and head back to bed..."
"He probably has a good reason for hating the rain..."
Léan knew that Shadow had odd little quirks about weather and the changing seasons. He was old...he probably had a few bad memories associated with certain weather conditions or seasons...or even dates. Just like he himself didn't care for thunderstorms, he knew Shadow hated the rain. He could stand storms, but not dreary rainy days...

Gian chuckled lightly and got out of bed, as well. Straightening out his shirt and realizing he hadn't changed out of them, he gave a little sigh and went to follow after Alfie. The rain was pouring down hard and he pursed his lips a little. "How're we going to get out from this rain?" he asked before he'd frowned. Before Alfie could reply, though, he took his hand into his own and tugged onto it so they could run under the rain together.
"Let's start with Léan," he told Alfie in a rather loud voice so he could be heard under the rain.
"Probably." Kratos had to agree. When one lived for such a long time like Shadow. He most certainly must have reasons for being so groggy and angry most of the time when it rains.

"Agreed," Alfie snickered, having already been cooking up some plans even before Gian mentioned starting with the merman. "By the way...should we involve Blake, or should we let him sleep? He seemed like he was getting sick...I don't know if it would be a good idea to wake him up..."
Alfie didn't want to force the new boy to play if he wasn't feeling well.
Léan sniffed the air suddenly, looking like he didn't feel very enthusiastic. "I smell trouble," he said, simply. 'Trouble' usually referred to Alfie. When it rained, or when they were underwater, sirens had great senses of smell.

Gian shook his head. "Let's not disturb him," he said with a grin before he'd paused for a second or two, "But... I should go check on him and see if he needs anything." Upon arriving at the tent, he let go of Alfie's hand so he could run his fingers through his hair and push them back. It was wet so it stayed slick back. His clothes stuck to his skin, though, like second skin.
"Trouble?" he asked before he'd turned to look at Gian and Alfie's way. He was surprised and he grunted at the feeling. He hated surprises. "What do you two need?"

"I think maybe we shouldn't disturb him at all. If he needs something, he'll get up and try to find help," Alfie reminded him, looking much more comfortable in the rain. He didn't wear clothes, after all--nothing stuck to him or felt heavy. He jumped when he heard Kratos' voice, not expecting it. "..." Not knowing what to say, he looked to Gian for help.
Léan looked displeased. He had the nagging feeling that these two were plotting something, and he didn't quite like it.

Gian took note of that. "You're right," he said with a nod before he'd blinked himself at the way Kratos had asked that question. Laughing lightly at Alfie looking at him like that, he reached out again to take his hand into his own and give it a reassuring squeeze. "Let's go play," he told them, "A game with Hebs and Shadow."
Kratos looked suspicious. "What game?" he asked as he pursed his lips a little. "A mix of truth or dare and would you rather. Come on! It'll be fun, Léan, Kratos!" Kratos didn't look like he wanted to but he turned to look at Léan. "I'll play if Léan plays."

Léan grumbled, folding his arms across his chest. He had a feeling deep down in his chest that if he refused, Alfie was going to whine. Certainly, the naga had that pouty look about him already. That was the last thing the merman needed to hear, that dreadful reptile's whining.
He grunted, looking away irritably. "Fine. Fine. But only for the sake of avoiding hearing that terrible whine of yours," he snapped, glancing at Alfie briefly while he spoke this. Alfie reached a hand up to scratch his head, looking embarrassed. "Well, ah...let's go, then!"

Kratos held out a hand to Léan for him to take. He scooped him out of the water and held him like those times he had been out of his tank to sleep with him on the bed. Together. Somehow, Kratos missed those times. It had been comforting with the other so close to him like that. "He does whine pretty annoyingly."
Gian laughed lightly again at Alfie's embarrassed look and he nodded at those words. "Come on then. Let's bother those other two." Tugging again at Alfie's hand, he led the way out and towards Shadow's room.

Léan curled up comfortingly in Kratos' arms, holding onto his hand with a slightly tight grip even though he didn't have to anymore. He didn't know how he felt about those times. He never did like close contact with other people, oftentimes not even with Shadow, but he didn't seem to mind it when it came to the human now holding him.
Alfie squeezed Gian's hand and headed cheerfully out into the rain. He was looking forward to annoying the siren, as well as a grumpy Shadow.
And boy, was Shadow grumpy. The moment his mind picked up on the approaching freaks, he was stirred out of his sleep with a loud huff of annoyance.

Kratos made a face at his clothes getting wet and sticking to his skin. They were getting heavier and he honestly disliked, too, how his hair was flat and shaping his head. Léan's hold on his hand, though, made him smile just a tad - too small in fact that one had to look closely to see it.
Gian, upon arriving at Shadow's door, had knocked onto it. He had tried to turn the knob and it was locked. "Hebs? Shadow?"
Hebs stirred awake at that loud huffing noise and the crying out of their names from the door. It made him frown for a second or two as he tightened his hold on Shadow and grunted. He didn't want to get up but that knocking wasn't stopping. The snake man got out of bed, stretched his arms up over his head and let out a delicious groan before he'd made his way to the door. Like Gian, he hadn't changed out of his clothes from yesterday at all. The strong rain made Hebs take a step back as he held the door open. "Hurry and come on in," he said with a slight frown as he looked up at the dark sky and the large droplets of rain.[/color]" Now that he was more awake, he noticed that everyone seemed to be here.
"What's going on?" he asked them with his brows raised just a tad. "Game!" Gian said too cheerfully, it would have made the angriest man even more angrier.

Léan didn't seem to mind the rain. Being an aquatic creature, he found that the rain felt nice and cool on his skin and scales, and that he liked it when it rained on him, really. He purred and cooed, holding on tight to Kratos' hand as he stretched his tail all the way out to catch droplets of rain on it. At least it wasn't an acidic rain...acidic rain felt strange and gooey on his skin.
Alfie entered Shadow's room along with Gian very slowly, looking a little concerned about that unhappy-looking bundle ov blankets on the bed. He didn't like setting off Shadow's temper.
Shadow muttered a quick "Close that door, immediately," when Hebs opened the door to let the others in, and he calmed down a bit once he noticed everyone in his room. He sat up slowly, rubbing at his eyes absently. He looked childlike in his half-awake state, with his hair all messed up and of course he was...maskless.
He didn't look too enthusiastic about the idea of a game, but he didn't say no.

Kratos had noticed Léan stretching out his tail like that and he could only come up with the conclusion that Léan loved the rain. Well, he did say something about that before, hadn't he? Entering the room quickly so Hebs could shut the door, he tightened his hold on Léan a bit and turned to look at Hebs who was running his fingers through his hair. It had Kratos raising his eyebrows a little and he watched the snake man move to sit on the foot of the bed.
Gian, on the other hand, only was entranced by Shadow's features. He did resemble a kid and he made sure to tear his gaze away from him before he looked up. "So, Alfie... how do we start this?" he asked as he blinked and reached up to push the others' hair back and tuck some strands behind those ears of his.

Léan curled up once again in the other's arms once they were completely inside the room, opening his mouth in a wide yawn. He wondered if they should sit down or not...surely Kratos was going to get tired holding him up like that throughout this whole silly...game-thing?
"Well...someone should volunteer to go first!" Alfie decided, eagerly. "Someone has to ask someone else 'Truth, Dare, or Would You Rather?', and then they have to choose one of the options, and the person gets to ask them or dare them based on what they choose. I...kind of don't wanna go first." He glanced around, curiously. "Anyone wanna go?"
Shadow's eyes seemed to light up just a tad when he heard exactly what the game was, but he laid low for now. He was brewing up some wonderful ideas in the back of his mind for when it was his turn...

Kratos did move to sit on the floor, by the door and he had Léan sitting on his lap while the back of the center of his tail would rest on his other lap. "I'm not going first either." He gave a little grunt and it made Gian frown just a bit. "Then... I'll go first." He looked around for a second or two before he gazed at Shadow. It only made Hebs chuckle quietly as he put his hands on the bed and leaned back just a bit.
"Shadow! Truth, Dare, or Would you Rather?"

Léan shifted himself on Kratos' lap for a moment to get comfortable and then wrapped his arms up around the human's neck to help better support himself, so he wouldn't slide off of his lap. He rested his head against his chest, watching to see what Shadow would do with curious eyes.
"Dare." Shadow was fearless, for the most part, and naughty...so he didn't mind taking a dare from Gian.
Alfie perked up, looking excited, and he slithered over to sit by Hebs, but on the floor. He was trying to form a loose circle with all of their bodies.

"I dare you to kiss Kratos for a good two minutes. Deep, long and passionate kisses." Gian grinned brightly as he reached out to run his fingers through Alfie's wet hair. Kratos, on the other hand, looked at Gian like he'd grown another head. Hebs only snickered. Shifting a little to put his weight on one hand instead, he tilted his head a little and idly wondered how Shadow would be able to do that.
Kratos wasn't exactly the easiest of people to have him accept such a thing. Not unless, of course, it had come from the merman himself.

"...I didn't know you wanted me dead that badly," Shadow pouted in Gian's direction, looking willing nonetheless to do it. "I suppose I could try it, as long as someone promises not to kill me for accepting your dare..."
He flashed a pointed glance in Kratos' direction.
Alfie snickered, curling up against Gian happily. He seemed to like where this was going--he wanted everyone in the room to get somewhat embarrassed, somehow. Even himself. It was more fun that way.
Léan gave off a soft, but menacing and low growl, his tail flicking back and forth in a somewhat aggressive manner. Sirens, when they accepted mates (even without mating with them, at all), tended to be very territorial over them.
