Kenichi's eyes widened when Rousel had said that. Even moreso when the other had acted upon his threat. He took a wary step back and looked at the other with a rather fearful expression. "B-Blue..." he trailed off and rubbed his arm a bit, "Yours is...?" He made sure he and Rousel were at least three meters away. Kenichi wasn't sure if he wouldn't run away if Rousel started to come even closer.
Hebs blinked when he was nudged and turned to look at Shadow first before he'd moved his gaze to where Alfie was. The expression he was giving surprised him a lot and he turned his gaze again to see why such an expression was clearly on the naga's face. Gian didn't know what Alfie was going through - at all. In fact, he'd returned to the naga's side after setting the envelope down on the counter. "You think he'll be able to find Léan's brother?" he asked Shadow as he raised his eyebrows a little.
Neither was Johnny for holding conversations. Unless it was about work or if it was with Gian. Turning on the radio and shifting the gear as he stepped on the gas, he rested his elbow on the door and yawned a bit. He hadn't had gotten much sleep last night with all the research he was doing. He just hoped he'd get this over with before this week ends. He needed a rest from work.

"Green. Stop backing up. And don't you try to run...or I'll catch you, tackle you, and sit on you to keep you from running away again," Rousel threatened, arching an eyebrow. And oh, he was serious about that. Being as heavy as he was, Kenichi surely wouldn't be able to get up. It was hard to say 'no' to Rousel. He couldn't believe that this human in front of him was so terrified that he just had to run away. Once more, the big merman began to approach.
"What about your favorite animal?"
Shadow wanted to point Alfie out to Gian. He really did, even more so since the naga still had a sour look on his face. But if he did that, Alfie was going to get pissed off. So, he settled for glancing between the two of them a few times before he answered Gian. "I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. If he does...I'm sure Kratos won't mind taking care of two mermen. After all...the brothers are identical in every way, physically. Just not in personality." From what he could gather, the two were vastly different.
Blake had gotten a lot of sleep, but he was preoccupied by the scenery passing by and didn't strike up conversation. It wasn't a good idea to distract a tired driver.

As much as Kenichi wanted to not run away (since being told that he was going to be pinned down by that size), he couldn't help it. He backed up and whimpered. "I-I can't," was his reply as his brows scrunched up together. It almost appeared like he was about to cry, too. "M-My legs move on their own!" As if to emphasize what he had just said, his feet scurried off further away. More than three meters as a gap between them.
"Octopus." He grinned sheepishly. "They're just too... cute. With their mouths looking like they're to kiss someone and their round, big head and oggly eyes..." He stopped and scratched the back of his head. Most of those who'd known him thought of him as weird when he'd say that. So, he's learned how to stop himself before he went on any further. "They're delicious to eat, too."
Gian nodded at that and turned to look at Alfie. The sour look on his face made him blink and he leaned in to kiss the other lightly on the lips. "Something wrong, Alfie?" he asked as he worriedly watched him, "You should sit down if you're not feeling well..."
That was true in every sense. If he was distracted even just the slightest bit. There was a possibility they'd get into an accident. The drive to his place was a quiet one, save for the random music playing over the radio. Once he'd arrived, though, he parked his car in the garage and got out. It was a small but homey place. If one looked from the outside, they'd have thought Johnny had a family. "Your room's upstairs, the third door at the right. The second door's the bathroom." The one door on the left's his room. His workplace? It was the living room. Papers were scattered all about and his laptop was still open. "Leave your shoes by the door, too. I don't care if they're clean or not." Johnny took off his shoes outside before he entered his place and he stretched his arms up over his head before he'd gone to the living room to resume work.
"If you need anything, the kitchen's right there." He pointed to the said kitchen nonchalantly, his eyes not even moving once from the screen.

Rousel looked like he'd been about to comment on Kenichi's first few statements, about his legs having a life of his own. He'd almost gotten his mouth all the way open when he heard his response to his question. Shock was evident on his face for a long moment. Then, a huge, wicked, toothy grin split across his face. He began to inch closer.
"Really?" There was a dangerous, very flirtatious tone to his voice. "Delicious? You probably should have lied to me about your favorite animal. Now I'm real intrigued. Don't you run from me, though," he added again, his almost predatory expression souring a bit. "I'll catch you. And pin you down. Maybe then after a long while you'll relax, eh? Try to sit down on the floor. Maybe then your legs will stop trying to move you away. You can close your eyes, too. Honest, I won't do anything funny right now. Pinky-promise."
Alfie jumped, looking surprised. Then he started scratching his head sheepishly. "Ah-ha...mm. Oh, no--I'm okay, I promise. I think I just need to start shoveling food in my face."
Blake didn't get any of his bags, at first--he just wanted to figure out where he was supposed to be taking his bags. He effortlessly slipped his shoes off at the door. "Okay, then. Upstairs, third door on the right," he repeated artlessly. He sounded unhappy, honestly. He wasn't looking forward to having to spend 'quality family time' with Johnny, as he really didn't think they were going to get along. For the sake of the other members of his strange family, he was going to put in some effort, though.
Blake didn't ask for help with his luggage. He silently took each bag up to the room that he was going to be using until the other freaks returned home from Austria. When he finished, he changed into pajamas, as he intended to take a nap, and trudged his way back downstairs to fetch a glass of water from the kitchen. He was curiously peeking at the laptop--he was dying to know what he was working on.
"...Whatcha doing?" he asked nonchalantly as he poured himself a glass of water.

Kenichi wasn't sure as to whether that huge, wicked, toothy grin he saw on the other was a good sign or not. Hell, that kind of voice somehow made the hairs of the back of his neck rise. His body froze, too, at the threat the other gave him and he had to hold back a whimper from escaping from the back of his throat. "Just... stay where you are. Please?" Kenichi sure looked like he was about to cry as he put his hands together and looked at Rousel with a pleading, well, look overall.
Gian blinked at Alfie stuttering. He tilted his head a bit and frowned. That doesn't sound like Alfie at all. Reaching out, he rested his hand on the side of the other's neck and leaned in to kiss him on the lips. Hebs smiled at this sight and he turned to look at Shadow before he'd resumed fixing the food. With his good hand, anyway. "Food should be ready in a bit."
Johnny hadn't looked up after a few minutes of silence just after Blake had asked that question. It was only when he'd pulled his glasses off and massaged the bridge of his nose did he notice a pair of feet. Who's- "Ah. It's you." The male slipped on his glasses again to clear up the image of the boy before he'd noticed him curiously peeking at something. Following that gaze, he raised his eyebrows a little before he'd noticed what it was. "I'm sending out addresses of black markets in the country. There's a possibility Arcturus could be in one of them." The lawyer leaned back against the couch and massaged his shoulder before his lips straightened out in a line.
"You put up your luggages?"

"What are you, a child?" Rousel demanded, continuing to approach. "Honestly, it's getting ridiculous, now." He was moving slowly...but when he wanted to, the big male could move like greased lightning. He would probably catch Kenichi if he ran, unless the other did something to hinder his running. He stretched his arm out as he approached, extending his hand. "Come on. Take it. Better to get over this idiotic fear you have now, before everyone leaves."
Alfie seemed reassured by this, because his arms shot up to wrap around Gian in a tight, cozy hold. Shadow grinned briefly before turning his head away. Alfie really was very predictable. A little snuggling and he felt all better. He had a feeling, though, that he would need to bring up the issue of jealousy very soon to avoid getting so riled up, again. "Good," the naga mumbled, his voice muffled a bit from his face being buried in the side of Gian's neck. "I'm starving."
Blake looked tired. He was tired from packing, tired from the trip...and, of course, the unpacking and the overall excitement were to blame, too. "Oh. Maybe he's not in one. Maybe somebody already has him. You should try to check purchase records," was the boy's simple suggestion as he started turning. "I'm going to take a nap. Holler for me if you need me." With that, he started to make his way up the stairs.

"Yes, I am. I am a child." Whatever people called him, it didn't matter. He just didn't want Rousel to come too close. When the large siren didn't listen to him and moved slowly towards him, he took more steps back. "No!" All right. He freaked the moment he'd seen those outstretched arms. Kenichi was quick on his feet as he dashed off somewhere outside but still within the freak community district.
Talk about really childish.
Gian grinned when Alfie had returned to his old self. That tight hug made him chuckle but that breath of his against his neck made him shiver slightly. It just reminded him of the intimate times they shared together. "Hey, hey," the boy started, his cheeks colored just a bit. Nudging the other's chin with his shoulder, he held up the plates. "Could you set the table? Just the glasses and the utensils."
Johnny hadn't thought of that. In fact, there was one of his rare, surprised look on his features. So, he could be useful, too, he thought before he'd smiled slightly and shook his head. Somehow, the boy reminded him a little of Gian when he was younger. Just... how old was Blake? While he brushed this thought aside, he started to look, too, for purchased records as Blake had suggested.

"You big fuckin' baby."
Rousel took his time, but he began to follow him. He could smell him from this distance. His kind had a great sense of smell, able to smell potential mates underwater from quite a ways away. Obviously, he wasn't going to reach Kenichi just yet. He would just have to keep pushing the issue. Eventually, he figured, the other would tire of running away and try to face it all. At least...well...he hoped he would. Rousel wasn't good with dealing with other peoples' problems. He was very blunt and not so empathetic...
Alfie grinned when he felt Gian's face heating up. He did pull back, though, and he reached out to grab the glasses first. "Okay, then. I'll do that." As he moved to do so, Shadow watched him, looking ever so pleased. He loved watching relationships blossom. In that sense, he was even more like a perverted old man.
Blake immediately headed for his new room and collapsed on the bed, closing his eyes. He was planning on lazing around and trying the occasional social interaction with his 'babysitter,' but...he didn't know if he would ever get along with Johnny. He would just have to wait and see.

Kenichi was getting pretty tired of running away. He'd hidden behind a tree, which he thought would have him hide from view. Panting as he leaned against it and brought up his hand to wipe away his sweat with his palm, the male groaned. This was the first time he was being threatened by a big octopus. Well, half man-half octopus. As much as he was enthralled by seeing his favorite animal up-close and personal, it was another story to have his said favorite animal to like him back.
Taking his tie that was holding his hair together and re-tying his hair, he looked over his shoulder to see if Rousel was anywhere nearby. Good. I can take a little rest.
Hebs noticed the look on Shadow's face and snickered in amusement before he'd taken the plates from Gian. "Go help him out," he told the boy before he'd set he plates on the counter for Shadow. To put the food on. "You'll probably have to think about making Alfie's nest bigger, don't you?"

It took Rousel nearly ten minutes to reach Kenichi. When he did, he didn't approach him right away. Instead, since he seemed a little distracted, he started sneaking around the side. He poked his head around the other side of the tree and then shifted to lean against it. So, he was opposite from where the human was. He was completely silent for another five minutes before he finally spoke.
"Would it be better to stay close if you couldn't see me?"
Shadow began piling the food on the plates, a content look on his face. "I don't know if a nest would be good. A bed with heat lamps might be even better," he hummed, smiling.

Kenichi froze right on the spot. He'd just crouched down, too, when Rousel had decided to speak out. Somehow, he found his heart nervously ramming against his chest. It's not that he was in love nor was he feeling anything for the one animal he admired and looked up to; perhaps, something out of fear? "Y-Yeah," he started, stuttering for a second before he'd rubbed the side of his neck, "Sorry. For freaking out like that. I really must be a baby."
Hebs blinked for a bit before he'd chuckled. "You sure thought about this much."

Rousel chuckled deeply, a pleased look on his face. Well, it was a start. "Well, obviously, you need to get used to being around me. And around the pretty thing, too. Me more so, though, because he doesn't want anything to do with you." As he spoke, one of his curious extra limbs was slipping around the back of the tree. He raised it up and slapped it against the ground, playfully. "Try touching that. It won't bite."
"I always think about things...perhaps a little too much." Shadow finished with the last plate and leaned down to pick a few of them up. "Come on, dear. Let's eat."

The white-haired male jumped at the other slapping that limb of his against the ground. It had him frowning just a bit at the other's suggestion before he'd rested his cheek on his knee. He was curiously looking at it and was oddly quiet. It took about a few more minutes before the man was reached out, the tips of his fingers poking at it lightly. "It's... soft." No more than sooner, Kenichi was touching it a little more now, even lifting it up to look underneath.
Hebs smiled slightly at that in amusement again and took some of the plates to help put them on the table. He'd seated himself once Gian had put the last of them and paused for a second or two. "We should pack Kratos'. I don't think he'd want to be woken up. Where's Kenichi and Rousel?"

Rousel didn't say anything else, holding his tongue. All eight of his large extra limbs were super-sensitive to touch, but he wasn't about to admit that to Kenichi. And they had minds of their own. Very gently, the limb that was being touched began to squirm in Kenichi's grasp, the very end of it wrapping around one of his fingers. He finally managed to cool his nerves down enough to speak in a steady manner. "Well, of course it's soft. It's supposed to be. When I'm relaxed, that is." He chuckled. "They have a lot of muscle in them. It's how I hunt underwater, after all."
Shadow sat down slowly, preparing to dig into his food, but then Hebs spoke. "We will pack his things later. As for the others...those lovebirds...they're out getting to know each other. Rousel is actually being less forceful than I thought he would be..." The fallen angel fell silent for a moment before finally shrugging and starting to eat.

Kenichi felt his heart almost jump out of his throat when he'd seen that limb of Rousel's squirm in his touch. He had let go by surprise but continued to watch it with fascination. In fact, he had stroked at it again even when it had wrapped around his finger. "Wow," it was all he could say before he'd poked the tip of it and then lifted it a little higher so he could tilt his head and peek underneath. Those were pores, right?
"What's this at the bottom? They're like... pores." His other hand finally joined its pair, poking lightly at one of them.
Hebs blinked. "He is?" he asked, looking very surprised. It didn't look like Rousel was quick to warm up to anyone, even Kenichi. "Is it because Kenichi can pass off as a siren if he dons on a tail?" Gian seemed amused at the thought and snickered as he sat beside Alfie and started to eat his food. Hebs, too, did the same and motioned for Alfie to come join and eat his breakfast too. They were about to leave soon.

Rousel's hands were closed into fists. His nails were starting to dig into his palms. It was killing him, the overwhelming sensations he was getting. He wasn't often touched in even a mildly affectionate manner. A curious and exploring manner was even worse, as the hands were obviously, ah...quite thorough. "Haven't you ever looked closely at an octopus' tentacles? This is how I can walk on land. Put your palm flat and press, and then try to pull back. You won't be able to."
Rousel wasn't used to holding himself back. But he was willing to. This human intrigued him.
"I don't know. I think he might be attracted to him..." Shadow patted Alfie on his arm as the naga settled himself down. He seemed to want to cling closely to Gian...as if he was afraid the other would spontaneously just disappear. Shadow noticed this, and he quietly reminded himself to give Johnny a call once they were in Austria. Having him tell Alfie that he wasn't interested in Gian would help with Alfie's mood.

Kenichi looked embarrassed. "Never had the chance to," he mumbled as he stretched his palm out. Out of curiosity, the male pressed Rousel's tentacle against his said palm and tried to have it pull back. He was surprised. His eyes widened and his brows raised just a bit. "That's... amazing!"
Hebs smiled at that. He hummed thoughtfully before he'd turned to see what Alfie was doing. Gian nuzzled Alfie a little and poked his cheek. "I won't go anywhere," he told him, "Come on. Eat. I won't sit beside you if you don't eat."

Rousel relaxed his muscles for a moment and gradually, the little suction cups on the bottom of his tentacle loosened and released Kenichi's hand. "Amazing? Well, I've never been called that before..." The way Rousel spoke...it was as if he didn't really have anyone to talk to. He seemed to talk to himself a lot, too, as if he thought no one else could hear him speaking. Just how much time did this big siren spend on his own?
Shadow coughed to hide a chuckle and nearly choked on his food. This only made him laugh more. Alfie gave him a very nasty look before pouting and slowly starting on his food. Alfie eating slowly--that was new. He really was acting a little off. Alfie didn't like confrontation, and he really didn't want to tell Gian about his insecurities.

Kenichi looked up at that instant and he was quick to let go and take just a couple steps back. He was about a meter away from Rousel. At least, that was an improvement. "But, you are," he finally smiled, though a little nervously before he'd rubbed his arm. Seeing Rousel now made him raise his eyebrows a little in what looked like child-like wonder. Rousel was an amazing creature. If he weren't so scared, he would've had asked permission to touch him. Fully touch him without as much of a hesitation.
Gian didn't seem to notice Alfie eating fast at all. In fact, he was amused with the way the naga was acting and leaned in to nuzzle him lightly on the jaw. "Before we leave, do you want to do something?" Hey, Alfie needed to be awarded, right? For doing something that Gian had asked him to do? Hebs seemed to know what question to ask then:
"What time are we going to leave? Right after breakfast?"

Rousel knew immediately when his limb was released. He turned back toward Kenichi, a bemused look on his face. He was studying the other's expression, closely. He chuckled, then, and turned a little so he was fully facing him. "You know, if you want to come closer, you can. I don't bite unless I'm provoked. Or unless someone asks me to." His tone dropped on the last sentence and a cheeky grin graced his face. He seemed friendly and playful enough, at least. He only got forceful when things didn't go his way.
Alfie nearly choked on his food, going very red in the face, and he clapped a hand over his mouth while he calmed himself down. Over in his seat, Shadow looked a little red in the face, too. But for a different reason. He was on the verge of laughing. He was also almost done with his food, which he quickly chewed and swallowed before patting Hebs on the shoulder, indicating that he needed to be excused for a moment. He shot up out of his seat and left for the bathroom.
Where, when he got there of course, he leaned against the wall and laughed. And laughed...and laughed, until he was almost crying. It was hilarious to see Alfie in this condition--Alfie didn't get embarrassed! But Gian seemed to have changed him.

Kenichi shook his head. "I'm afraid I'd run away." He did want to step closer. Rousel's tentacles were very fascinating, especially the way his body was carried by them. "And... someone asked you to bite someone?" he asked, blinking as he looked surprised. Was that true?
Gian raised his eyebrows a little before he'd snickered at Alfie turning red in the face. He gave him a little nudge and kissed his cheek. Of course, he needed to finish his own food, too. Hebs, on the other hand, was bringing up a hand to try and keep himself from laughing. This was awfully amusing. The pat on his shoulder was enough to tell him that Shadow had left and he smiled again.
"You two hurry up and finish eating. I still need to wash the dishes." That, and have the life man and the siren's food packed. As for Kenichi and Rousel, perhaps, he could just have their food covered so they can eat it later.

"No, seriously. I won't move a muscle. Come here." Rousel paused, and then he arched an eyebrow. "Would it be better if my hands are tied? ...No, wait, that was a stupid question." He was staring down at all the extra 'hands' he still had. "Well...I won't move. Start inching closer as you get more comfortable. And, ah...as for the biting..." He snickered. "Well, I mean if someone I'm mating with asks me to bite them. I'd do it, then."
Alfie scowled at Hebs, but he didn't seem too angry. More embarrassed than angry, really. He began wolfing down his food at once, eager to get going. No, he was NOT eager to get any kind of gift from Gian! That was NOT it!

Kenichi blinked for a second or two before he'd found himself laughing. Somehow, the way Rousel suggested that and realized it himself was really amusing. He was also unable to keep himself from smiling. "It was," he agreed before he'd felt his eyes widen just after he'd stepped about two steps closer to Rousel. The meter was less now.
"You can... mate?" he asked, looking quite in awe, "Are there women, um, half human-half octopus like you?"
Gian was able to finish his food while Alfie was wolfing down his own. "Will we be leaving right away?" he asked Hebs who'd looked up from having taken Shadow's plate. "I don't think so. Alfie hasn't packed yet, has he? Probably later, in three hours. I need to double-check that we've got everything we need."

"Hmph. Of course I can mate. I mean...how else is my kind supposed to exist? We can mate, yeah. There are females as well as males, but I've never seen one. I've never seen another of my kind, really. We're rare." That probably meant that Rousel had never had a serious mate before. He'd obviously mated before, though, if his confidence was anything to go by. But not with one of his own kind, of course...
"We can leave whenever, I guess..." Alfie had finally finished with his food. "It's up to Shadow. Where did he go, anyway? And I am packed, by the way. Totally packed. I'm excited and I wanna get going!" Suddenly, Alfie seemed to cheer up considerably. He was really looking forward to this trip.
In the bathroom, Shadow had finally finished laughing. Instead of going back out to meet the rest of his family, he'd sunk down to the floor and was just sitting there, staring blankly at the tile. He was trying to figure out why exactly he'd lost his cool like that...

Kenichi grinned sheepishly. He supposed that was something he missed. But when he'd heard that the other hadn't ever seen one of his kind, he was startled. "You mean... you mate with others than your kind?" There was obvious surprise on the ex-waiter's face as he stepped a step closer. His body was still not used to being so close to Rousel so he stayed where he was longer than usual. Half a meter now; that was certainly an improvement.
The male crouched down and he looked at Rousel again. "You're really beautiful."
Gian grinned at Alfie's excitement. Hebs, too, smiled. Somehow, they could both feel his said excitement. "Well then, if that's the case, maybe the both of you can rest for a bit. I'll see if Shadow's ready and double-check the things that need to be checked." With that, Gian stood up and nodded before he'd turned to look at Alfie. He leaned in and nuzzled his cheek. "You still want your reward?" he asked, his voice really low. Hebs didn't mind. In fact, he was already packing away and starting to wash the dishes.
