Damon gave Hebs a sideways glance, turning his head very slowly. It was something that Shadow often did when he didn't want to be rude and ignore what someone was saying, but he really didn't want to talk about it. Shadow and Damon had many of the same mannerisms, it seemed. So...he was well aware of Jae's potential feelings.
"I...don't know him well enough to give you an answer?" he replied, arching an emerald eyebrow. He was purposely avoiding the last words that Hebs said. Damon was not ready to even think about anyone else, not so soon. And, if Jae really wanted him...it was going to take a lot of work. Like Shadow, it was very hard for Damon to let go of things even if he honestly wanted to. Damon wasn't selfish like Shadow was, but...Damon hated changes to his lifestyle. Being alive and not having Shadow by his side was a rather large change, and he wasn't ready to let it all go just yet.
"For you, Gian...perhaps something that will...make you a proper freak?" Shadow stayed just in front of Gian and Alfie, watching the pair closely to make sure they didn't stray from the beaten path. "Is there a power you have always dreamed of wanting? But, ah...Alfie, I don't have the faintest idea as to what you want."
"Sorry to say it, but I don't have a clue, either." Alfie suddenly looked sheepish--the naga reached up and scratched absently at his head. He squeezed Gian's hand as he trailed along after him, staying very close to his dear human. This vault still intimidated him.

Hebs gave a short nod at Damon. He supposed the boy will just have to be forceful if he wanted to get together with Damon. It didn't seem like Jae'd be able to do that. Poor boy. Looks like he'll just have to wait. Jae came back out with their small plates of food and he even added two cups of delicious-smelling tea. "Thank you," Hebs said as he took the cup and smelled it. His eyes slid shut as he enjoyed it. Jae was pleased at Hebs' reaction. He turned to look at Damon's way and smiled brightly at him.
"I hope you enjoy your food too, Mister Barrow!" With that, the boy went back in to prepare what Hebs had requested for the rest of the freak members.
Gian hummed a bit. "I'm not sure. I'm fine with just watching everyone from afar though..." He trailed off to grin. "Being invisible, maybe?" He always had been a rascal back when he was at school but, of course, he was a rascal with good grades. He had to show something to Johnny because if he didn't, he was afraid he'd be shunned. He wouldn't like it at all if such a thing happened. Hell, just imagining it would make him fall into the depths of depression. "Or something to help Alfie go out... you know, without him having to worry about people looking strangely at him." The boy turned to look at Alfie as he smiled. He liked Alfie as he is, really, but he can't urge the other to go out looking like he is. At least, Alfie didn't seem to want to do it with him.

Damon also picked up his cup of tea and smelled it. But, he didn't close his eyes. He simply gave one of his tiny smiles before blowing some of the steam away and then taking a small sip. He nodded politely in Jae's direction as he left, as if silently thanking him, before he set the cup down and scooped up his fork and his knife. He ate very slowly, and also quietly. There was something bothering him, obviously, now that he was really coming to terms with the idea that Jae wanted to pursue him. He was concerned about Jae's safety, particularly--especially if he came by the house. There was, after all, a threat lurking there for anyone with potentially romantic thoughts concerning Damon.
Shadow.
"Invisible? I can do that. As for your request with Alfie...that, unfortunately, I can't do," Shadow replied honestly, stopping all of a sudden at a teal-colored door before putting his hand on the doorknob and popping it open. "I have contacts all over the world for many different tribes and species...one species I do not have any contact with are the nagas. Nagas are very secretive creatures who keep to themselves and do not like outsiders. They are also very rare, at least in the human world. There are three tribes I know of--potentially more, though, that I do not know of. One lives in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil, one lives in the Sahara Desert in Northern Africa, and the very last tribe lives near the Russian-Chinese border. As of yet, I haven't been able to get friendly with any of those tribes--as I said, nagas do not like outsiders. I don't know if there's a way to temporarily change a naga's form into a human form..."
Shadow was very wary of Alfie's species. Alfie's father, most likely, had been a naga--before she grew sick, Alfie's mother had been a herpetologist, traveling the world and studying reptiles and amphibians. He figured that she must have met Alfie's father during her travels and had a romantic tryst with him. He didn't know for sure, though, and he had never shared this idea with Alfie.
Alfie seemed fascinated and very, very curious...but he was a little too surprised to speak. There were others like him?

Hebs hadn't been aware of Shadow's protective nature until Damon had thought that. He'd picked it up and he tried his hardest not to show the other that he'd just done such a thing. Taking another sip of his tea as his eyes slowly fluttered open, he put the cup down and continued holding it with his hands. "Shadow... what do you think he'd do if he finds out someone's romantically interested in you?" He thought he'd ask. After all, Shadow had been quite selfish wanting to keep both he and Damon. Though he was well aware that it was a big change for Damon and Shadow considering the latter had been in love with the green-haired beauty for years even after his death, he still felt happy that Shadow chose him. Honestly, he was just about to give up then but the sudden surge of a braveness he didn't think he had in him surfaced then.
It was a strange feeling and Hebs felt quite proud for once in his lifetime, attaining something he wanted.
Gian's eyes widened in surprise at the news he'd heard. "Alfie," he started as he turned to look at the other, "Did you hear that?" The boy's features lit up as he smiled brightly. "You can meet your kind, maybe even your family!" It hadn't occurred to Gian that Alfie's mother might've been human.

"I already know that Shadow won't be happy," Damon replied quietly, sipping more at his tea for a long moment before clearing his throat and setting the cup down. "He has always been overprotective of me...and if he sees, so soon after having to choose between the two of us, that someone is making any kind of advance toward me or having errant thoughts..."
Damon didn't finish that sentence--he only glanced down, grimly, at the cake he hadn't quite touched yet. Shadow's wounds over having to choose were still very fresh--open and infected, in a sense. The littlest thing had a chance of setting him off and making his temper flare. Jae was probably not very safe anywhere near Shadow while Damon was around--and maybe not even then, if he was thinking about Damon while near Shadow. When it came to Damon, Shadow had always been quick to jump the gun--to blindly defend him and then ask questions later. His anger was a force to be reckoned with.
Shadow was almost halfway into the room when he heard Gian's words and stopped short. "...I do not think trying to get in contact with them at this point is a wise idea," the fallen angel informed him, glancing back and frowning. "I don't know much about naga society other than that they have zero tolerance for outsiders. And it's so, so hard to find them, even though I know where the three tribes are roughly located. In fact, you'd have better luck finding a cure for cancer than you would a tribe of nagas..."
Alfie's growing curiosity and happiness were struck down by Shadow's words and replaced with uncertainty. "...Um...I, ah...I don't know if it's a good idea, either..."

The image of Shadow 'jumping the gun' amused him. But, if that was what was going to happen then Jae will have an unfruitful visit. I might as well be the one to entertain him. With this thought in mind, the snake man finally took a forkful of his cake to start eating it. "I see," was all he'd said. Hebs might as well see what'll happen then. If Jae would continue visiting them after his first visit...
Gian turned to look at Shadow and raised his eyebrows in surprise. Was that serious? Was he serious? "I thought they'd be like Alfie." Bringing Alfie's hand close to his body, he put his free hand over it and started stroking the back of his hand. "But it doesn't matter. You sure you don't want to see them, Alfie? They could have tolerance for their own kin. After all, you still have their blood running in you, right?"

Damon also chose this time to start on his cake. He savored the taste of it, closing his eyes and trying to rid himself of the worries he had about Shadow. He couldn't help worrying about Shadow--the fallen angel put up such a strong front and seemed unshakable, but really, he could snap at the tiniest of things. He could recall several different instances in the past when Shadow, already in a vulnerable state, snapped and lost his temper due to something completely unrelated and not as serious.
Alfie leaned slowly against Gian, chewing on his bottom lip nervously. "I...I'm curious, but...if they really don't like strangers, then...it might be best just to leave them be. I mean...what if they take us hostage or something?"
Shadow chose this time to disappear into the room. It sounded like he was rummaging around for something--Gian's gift, most likely.

Hebs held himself from saying what he thought about the situation. He really didn't want to seem like he was prying with the way the other's thoughts were freely flowing to his own mind. "The cake's good, isn't it?" he asked, hoping to change the subject as he smiled, "I wonder if Jae makes them." It'd be nice to have a baker around the house. Maybe they could have bread every morning now. Or a pita for lunch if they decided to go Greek.
Gian noticed the way the other was chewing that bottom lip of his and he reached up to poke at it. "Will they hurt their own kin?" The male frowned. "Even if you're a rare specie?" Tugging Alfie's hand down so he could meet him up halfway with a tiptoe, the boy took his lips for a light kiss. "Stop chewing your lip, too. You're going to wound yourself."

"It is. Perhaps you should ask him." The offhanded way in which Damon spoke those two sentences suggested that he suspected that Hebs was just trying to make small talk so they didn't have to talk about the danger that Shadow's currently unbalanced temperament posed to Jae and to everyone in the family, honestly. He took another few big bites of his cake before it was gone--he then licked his lips, looking satisfied.
"...Maybe it would be best for everyone to get together for dinner...and we could invite Jae over and introduce him to Shadow?" Damon finally murmured, meeting Hebs' gaze steadily. Shadow was less likely to lose his cool when all of his family was around him. Getting him more used to Jae, even if he was after Damon, was necessary...
Alfie swatted at Gian when he kissed him, pouting beneath the kiss playfully and then scowling once he pulled away. "Fine, fine. I won't chew on it anymore," he huffed, folding his arms across his chest.
"...Nagas do not like outsiders, even if they are other nagas." Shadow had emerged from the room by this point--he closed the door behind him as he did so. He then held his arm out toward Gian. Draped across it was an old silken scarf, which looked to be hand-crafted. "Here. This should give you the power to turn invisible if you concentrate. It was a gift from a gypsy friend of mine."

Hebs would. Definitely. If Jae wasn't going to share the recipes, he was going to persuade Shadow to take him in. It would be an addition to their business if they sold snacks as well with their show. Somehow, Hebs also foresaw someone who'd be useful in the kitchen. He finished his own cake as well and took the tissue to wipe the sides of his lips. Apparently, the scales on his skin was enough to tear the tissue just a bit. He almost forgot. They were sharp and that he wasn't human.
The pair of yellow eyes shot up back at Damon. They looked surprised. But, that surprise ebbed away as he smiled softly. "That would be nice." Nodding at the thought, he moved his gaze back to Jae as he quietly listened to Damon's thoughts. If that was going to make Shadow less angry or frustrated, then he was all for it. It looked like Jae was going to have a rough time if he wanted to get through to Damon. Jae, at this time, chose to come out with the paper bags of cakes. One each for Shadow, Gian and Alfie. "There you go," he said with a bright smile, a slight flush on his cheeks. Hebs smiled back. That smile of Jae is pretty contagious.
"Do you make these cakes, Jae?"
Jae blinked in surprise before he'd nodded. "My recipes are a secret though..."
That was true. Hebs couldn't read anything from Jae regarding the cakes. That surprised him, too.
"Maybe we can invite you over to dinner on Saturday. When will you be off?"
Jae looked ecstatic. The bright smile touched his lips again. "At five. I finish my shift then." Hebs nodded. "Maybe I can have someone pick you up. If Damon wouldn't mind. If he does, perhaps Gian could." Hebs was thinking quietly as Jae turned to look back at Damon. "I'll be sure to bring a delicious cake over for dessert."
Gian frowned at that. "That's a strange kin," he started before he'd moved his gaze back at Shadow who'd emerged with the said item. His eyes widened and he took it with a grin. "Concentrate? To being invisible?" As he asked this, he was excitingly putting the scarf around his neck. He wasn't concentrating so it was pretty much a normal scarf. "What are its limits... or something? I see those in movies." Well, Gian did see those in movies. He thought he'd ask while he was at it.

Damon knew for a fact that even in a tense situation, Shadow would try his hardest not to lose his temper in front of his whole family. He didn't want to scare anyone or accidentally harm someone out of pure, unrestrained anger. He'd already lost his temper in front of Alfie and Léan, a long time ago, and now poor Alfie was so terrified of his anger that he hid whenever he even thought Shadow's temper was going to boil over. He'd also lost his temper with the siren's former owner, but...that was a very minor loss of his cool compared to what had happened in front of the naga and the merman...
Damon met Jae's gaze once he turned to look at him. "...We have a strange family..." he began, quite simply. "...I would make a point of trying to stay on the Ringleader's good side. That way, he may let you visit more often." He knew that Shadow was going to be very difficult on Saturday. He could react in a multitude of ways, most of which were not pretty thoughts at all. Damon supposed they would all just have to keep a very close eye on him.
As for fetching Jae, Damon arched an eyebrow at Hebs. "I can barely move on my own at the moment--it would be better if someone else picked him up." The musician wasn't mobile, after all--he had a hard time moving the wheelchair on his own without assistance. He still couldn't feel his legs. It seemed like Kratos was going to have to confront Kain in the graveyard and see if she really had done something to hinder his revival...
"You have to teach yourself how to control the power. Close your eyes and envision yourself being invisible, and it should work. It will take a bit of training to make only one part of your body invisible and such--don't try that just yet, or you may not be able to reverse the invisibility. I'll have to teach you later on," Shadow hummed, leaning against the wall. "...Alfie. You still need to tell me what you want," he added, glancing in the naga's direction.
Alfie immediately shrugged, frowning and peering off in another direction. "I don't know what I want. I'm actually pretty content with life right now."

Kratos, indeed, was going to have to deal with Kain. At least, that was what Hebs thought as he left Damon to tell Jae about their family. The boy didn't seem unaffected, though, but he was wary. What was this Ringleader of theirs like? Did he not like humans? Rubbing his hands on his apron, he thought about Damon. But, wasn't he human? Hebs finally raised his eyes to smile again at Jae. "Don't be fooled by what you see," was all he'd said before he'd taken the paper bag and left a couple of bills on the table. "But yes, Saturday. I'll have Gian pick you up." Hebs got up to his feet and walked over to get behind Damon's wheel chair. He handed the paper bag to him as well and smiled again at Jae. "Thank you for the food."
Gian blinked. "Oh," he started, "So it works that way..." Humming thoughtfully, he turned to look at Alfie and then grinned in amusement. "He wants me, I'm sure." Taking his hand again in his own, he gave it a little squeeze and moved his gaze back to Shadow. "We'll go on ahead! Thank you Shadow, and you better teach me how to use this!" It will prove to be useful if he wanted to spy on someone or something.

Damon knew that Shadow was going to be their biggest hurdle on Saturday. Telling him about Jae beforehand would only make things worse--it was a good thing that he wasn't nosing into Hebs' thoughts as much anymore, or he would already know. Damon was always hard for Shadow to read even with his powers--his wandering mind was always elsewhere and daydreaming, and it obscured his real thoughts.
Damon held onto the paper bag tightly, sparing a glance back at Jae as he was wheeled out of the cafe. Once outside, he cleared his throat. "I think, ah...we should try to be extra-kind to Shadow up until Saturday, to get him in a good mood. It won't prevent him from having his childish tantrum, I'm sure...but it will lessen his anger."
Alfie went bright red in the face with embarrassment, but he squeezed Gian's hand in return. "Shut up," he muttered playfully, much to Shadow's amusement. The tall male motioned for them to head toward the main door first. "Very well. I will teach you how to use it, but...in time. For now, experiment with full-body change. If anything goes wrong, seek me out and I will help you reverse it."

Hebs nodded at that. "That should help," he said rather thoughtfully before he'd smiled. By the time they'd gotten back to the villa, Hebs brought Damon with him to the kitchen to take the paper bag. He prepared the cakes and tea for Shadow, Alfie and Gian. "Do you want to go back to your room?" he asked Damon as he turned to look at him. He'd just finished boiling the teapot.
Your cakes are here, Shadow. I'm just boiling some water for tea.
Gian snickered at Alfie's reaction and he led the way to the main door. "Where do you want me to do that?" he asked as he turned to glance at Shadow. "The living room?"

"...I would like to, yes. I feel the need to test my fingers and see if my skill with the piano has withered away after all of these years." Damon could play just about every instrument known to man, but he had a special love for the piano. Now that he had full use of his arms, hands, and fingers, he was hoping that he could once again make beautiful music with the piano in his room, which he referred to sometimes as his pride and joy.
I will be there momentarily. Gian and Alfie will be in the living room, so...you can deliver their cakes to them right away...
"The living room is fine. Expect a visit from Hebs in a short while--he and Damon are back." Shadow nodded slowly and then turned, walking away and heading straight toward the kitchen. Alfie turned right toward Gian the moment Shadow was gone, a big, excited smile on his face. "...I hope you aren't planning to use that scarf to your advantage to sneak up on me..." Alfie had admitted once before that he loved the element of surprise...

Hebs nodded at that and smiled. "I'd like to hear you play the piano some time." Putting the plates on the counter, he went behind Damon's wheelchair again to take the handles. "And, I'll make sure to bring up this matter with Kratos. He should deal with the matter on your legs." It's been a week, and there was no improvement on it. Surely, something was keeping it from being 'normal' - per se - now that the other's limbs were able and he was able to use them. Pushing him out of the kitchen, he wasn't the least bit surprised to see Shadow and smiled. "Please handle the tea. I'll just bring Damon to his room."
With that said, the snake man resumed bringing Damon with him to his room. He put him by the piano first so he could get the piano chair out and put Damon before the keys. The place had been cleaned. Of course, Hebs made sure it was before Damon could come back to his room.
Gian nodded at that and blinked when he'd seen the big excited smile on Alfie's face. His words made him grin brightly and he laughed. "That's one way I could use it." Pulling the other down, he kissed him lightly on the lips and led the way up and out to the living room.

"You can listen to me play any time--I don't mind having an audience. And as for dealing with my legs...if Kratos is going to face Kain, he should not do so alone. He should have at least one other person with him for back-up. Even Shadow had a hard time controlling her when she was alive. It would not be wise to confront her alone."
Shadow paused just outside of the kitchen when he saw Hebs pushing Damon's chair along. No matter how detached both Damon and Shadow acted about parting ways, it was still awkward whenever they were around each other--their eyes met and locked together for a silent moment. It hadn't been very long, after all, since they had made the ultimate decision to part ways permanently. Damon was taking it much better than Shadow was deep down, but that was because there was very little that actually bothered Damon. He took most things in stride, even if they were life-changing events. It made him a rather strong person emotionally--there wasn't much that could shake him.
Shadow finally broke the brief silence with a smile in Hebs' direction. "I will do that...some tea sounds nice right about now." With that, he disappeared into the kitchen.
Damon was quiet on the way back to his room. All of his attention was fixed on the piano once they did reach his room. Remaining still as Hebs picked him up and set him on the piano bench, he stretched his arms out, hesitated, and then immediately began playing a short, medium-level classical piece from memory. Another one of his small smiles stretched across his face...it was easy for him to get totally engrossed in the music.
Alfie seemed frazzled by the kiss--he slithered after Gian slowly, still excited to see how the human's new power would work.

Hebs wasn't sure why but he'd stopped just as he was about to turn around and leave for the kitchen. The other was skilled, that much he could say. He couldn't help but find himself smiling. Despite that awkward encounter between the two and Shadow's thoughts drifting to his own head, he didn't say anything about it. More like, he can't blame either of them. Shadow, especially. It's been only three weeks since Damon's revival. One can't exactly mend things in just a month. Hebs didn't have any plans of forcing Shadow, either. Now that he's thought about it. They hadn't had, well, some alone time together. Neither did they get physical.
Sliding his hands into the confines of his pockets, he idly wondered if Shadow was bothered by it. Should he... give himself to him now that things have settled down? Or, should he wait a little longer? Brushing these thoughts off, the snake man stepped back and finally left for the kitchen to help Shadow prepare the tea and the cakes. He could do some tea right about now.
Gian finally let go of Alfie's hand and tilted his head a bit. Could he have someone become invisible, too, if he wishes it? Shutting his eyes tight, Gian imagined himself invisible from head to toe. Unknowingly, he was disappearing from sight and melding into the background.

The sounds of Damon's music echoed throughout the villa, since his door had been left open. When he was restraining his powers, the effect wasn't as strong. But even so, his music had a soothing, warm quality to it that other music just couldn't measure up to. When Damon played an instrument, whether it was striking keys, strumming strings, or anything else, it was as if that instrument became just another part of his body. He was always in perfect harmony with the instruments he played. It wasn't a mystery why in the past so many people would flock to Shadow's shows just to hear Damon playing.
Shadow had nearly finished with the tea when Hebs returned. He glanced back at him, flashing him a smile, and leaned against the counter slowly. He'd been paying close attention to Hebs' thoughts as he returned Damon to his room, and he had, of course, caught the other's musing about their clear lack of physical affection. Shadow was used to having regular sex, even if he didn't have a steady lover. The fact that he hadn't had any in such a long while was concerning. It was making him much more tense and moody than he usually was. He didn't bring any of this up, of course--he figured that since it had passed through his mind, Hebs already knew.
Alfie was quiet as Gian released his hand. He hadn't even thought about the possibility of making someone else invisible. He'd probably be a little wary of such power--after all, what if it couldn't be reversed? The naga watched closely as Gian concentrated, and then he squealed when suddenly the human started disappearing. It was an excited squeal--very high-pitched.

Hebs returned the smile. That, and his cheeks seemed to have colored just a bit. Had Shadow just answered his question through their link? That was a little embarrassing. To be found out like that, Hebs wasn't used to it. "Tonight, can I come to your room and share your bed?" Hebs' voice was gentle as he worked with the last cup of tea and turned to look at Shadow. Something, of course, was bound to happen then. Hebs was just thinking it.
The high-pitched squeal had Gian's eyes snapping open. He had thought something had happened and his concentration was suddenly broken. There was also that force from the front that had him stumbling back to the couch. With his eyes wide, the boy tried to breathe normally. What... What was that?

"You're certainly welcome to." Shadow was definitely enjoying the color that Hebs now had in his cheeks. He loved making people blush, after all. He shifted a little and then peered in the direction of the bag which held the three cakes in it. He hadn't paid it any attention until now--obviously, he was eager to dig into his slice of cake. But, would Gian and Alfie want theirs right away?
Alfie looked so, so excited, even though Gian was now completely visible again. "...We need to find a camera! You need to see how awesome turning invisible is! You didn't even go the whole way and it was awesome!" His enthusiasm seemed to know no bounds.

Hebs was well aware he was giving Shadow the pleasure of seeing him in his flustered state. But, that was fine, wasn't it? They were a couple, after all. At least, to normal standards, being a couple meant one could get away with things sometimes. "You can eat your slice of cake," he told him as he took out one. He'd gotten the same type of cakes for all three of them. Putting this on a small plate and getting a fork, he brought this over to Shadow and threw away the case. Getting one of the tea cups, he set it by the plate and turned to look at Shadow. "I think Alfie and Gian can wait. They seem excited with what you've given Gian. A scarf that can make you invisible, really?"
Gian rubbed his chest and frowned a little. That had hurt a bit. Was that some sort of reflex when the invisibility thing failed? As he thought this thought, he tugged a bit at the scarf and turned to look at Alfie and his bubbles of excitement. Grinning brightly, he got up to his feet and went over to where Alfie was. "I don't think I want to do it again but if you want to see it... I suppose I could?"

Shadow immediately picked up the small plate with the cake on it so he could get a better look at the cake. He speared the side of it with the fork, listening to Hebs' words. "It was what Gian wanted," the fallen angel informed him pointedly. "Ever since he came here...I have figured that he wanted to fit in as much as possible. Having a power might make him feel like he belongs even more than he did before."
Shadow popped the piece of cake on the end of the fork into his mouth, savoring its taste with his eyes closed. He really was calming down. He was almost back to normal--back to how he had been before they arrived at the villa.
Alfie noticed Gian rubbing at his chest--he hesitated before offering Gian his arms. "Um...no, no--maybe we should wait until a little later. Too much at once might be a bad thing," he pointed out, obviously concerned for his dear human lover's safety.

Hebs hummed a little as he smiled. He supposed that was true. Gian was starting to become comfortable around them. It looked like he's finally found his place. That made the snake man's smile turn much softer as he took the other cases of cakes to transfer them to small plates. Surely, Alfie and Gian were wanting them now. Once he'd finished with them, he added two forks and got a tray to serve all the plates of cakes with the cups of tea. Damon's music was beautiful as it continued to echo about the walls of Shadow's villa.
"By the way, we must talk to Kratos about this matter of Damon's legs." He turned to look at Shadow just as he'd picked up the tray. The freak didn't move just yet. "Maybe tomorrow morning, during breakfast." Surely, Damon would like his legs back. At least to Hebs, that was how it had appeared as.
Gian saw the other's arms and blinked for a moment before he'd grinned. Letting himself fall into them and relaxing against the naga, he let out a quiet sigh. His chest was still hurting from that force. "Yeah," he mumbled, looking up at him again before he'd reached up to poke at his cheek. He could see his concern written all over his face. It made him chuckle. "And I'll be fine. I'm generating just being this close to you." Bringing the other's face closer to his own, he took his lips for a deep kiss. Hebs saw it, of course, and he cleared his throat to present himself.
"I brought you two your cakes and tea."

Shadow had already noticed Damon's music--his hearing was a little bit better than human hearing, after all. It was nowhere near the siren's level of hearing, but still. He chewed thoughtfully on his last bit of cake as Hebs spoke. He swallowed, then, and then smiled softly. "I know. I...just would rather not talk about the issue unless Kratos has back-up on hand." Kain, after all, still haunted this villa, and she could be listening in. If anything rubbed her the wrong way, she may take it out on Kratos, as he was obviously the most sensitive to the paranormal out of the group.
"Perhaps during breakfast if Kratos brings one of his two friends along," he surrendered, finally. If Kain's tenacity was anything to go by, she wasn't going to go down easy--when Kratos finally did confront her, Shadow figured he was going to need the help of at least three other people who had experience with the dead.
Alfie ran his hands up and down Gian's back, holding him close. His expression was still worried even though Gian had reassured him. "Maybe you should wait to try again until Shadow's free to help teach you," he piped up after a moment, just before Gian grabbed onto his face and tugged him in for that wonderful kiss. Alfie let his guard down, melting into the kiss...and of course, it bit him in the ass--as if on cue, there was Hebs in the middle of it all. The naga went red in the face, gently pushing Gian away. "U-um...t-thanks..."
