My tonsils and stuff swelled up to like... lime sized and had to be fed via nutrition shakes.

Zig had mono. She had to have blood work done to find out and wasn't offered any sort of medication. She was off of school for a week but seeing as how it was vacation anyway she didn't miss anything. She was told not to eat protein but that she could eat any kind of crap other than that including Oreo (though even though still have some amount of protein). Zig did not receive mono from kissing.

Its called the kissing disease, but yeah other forms of getting it. mostly sharking things near mouth like straw, drink, lipstick

I had to take medicine to help the swelling and make it so I could eat.

I got it at random. Mine wasn't from kissing either.
But I did stop sharing drinks with people after that.
Since my doctor told me it can spread from that, too.

The doctor looked at the back of my throat for less than a second and said "Your throat looks disgusting."
It sucked.

All I could eat were those meals in the form of a shake.
Since swallowing solid food was not an option.

I don't share makeup because of mono and pinkeye.
But I do share drinks.

Well it doesn't help that my tonsals are swollen usually so when they are swollen it's worse.

if they're usually swollen, they should be taken out.
They serve the purpose of storing disease and inflammation so the rest of your body doesn't need to. But if they're inflamed already, then they are full and are just going to make you sick.

I only share drinks with my kids and boyfriend.
