Jorden smiled as she stayed close to him and snuggled closer into him. She was really tired after having her blood drained from her and just about everything else. Yet she slowly started to wake up when he placed her in the tree. She watched him cover hte hole in the tree and then pulled him close to her. "why didn't you stop sooner." she asked when she saw the burns and got worryed. She gently ran a hand over the burns and looked at him.

Looking at Jordan softly as she ran her fingers gently over his bruns he sighed. "I didn't want to stop becuase you could be in danger." he said softly and then kissed her forehead gently. "I was scared out of my mind waking up without you here with me.... I don't want to loose you again." he said and then kissed her softly upon the lips. "So i'm going to work harder and travel longer so we can get to the temple and ask the goddess to be together. I don't want to chance our chance at happiness because we had our guards down." he said softly and then nuzzled her cheek, his burns begining to slowly heal. "I'll be fine, they're really small and my healing is rapid so I wil be fine in a few minutes." he said reasuringly and ran a pale hand threw her silky hair, smiling softly with care swimming in his eyes.

Jorden pressed herself close to him and wrapped her tail around him. "I don't want to wake up like that again either. So I will stay alert more. I don't want to break the chance I have with you." she said softly and buried her face I to his shoulder. She purred loudly as he ran a hand threw her hair and she stayed as close to him as possible. "I am just glad that you got there in time. They probably would of done everything to get all the healing power out of me." she said softly and shuddered as she remembered them cutting her and making her cry.

Nodding Dustan looked at her gently and then nuzzled her cheek. "I know, I will never let it happen again...." he whispered lovingly and then sighed, leaning against the wall of the tree as he held Jordan in his arms. His eyes began drooping slowly, eventhough he was fighitng to keep them open. He kept stroking Jordan's head rythmically, her purring sending him farther and farther towards sleep, as his head began to nod a little bit, but he refused to sleep, he had to stay alert.

Jorden looked at him and knew he needed to rest. She gently wrapped her arms around him and kissed his cheek, "sleep, I will keep watch." she said as she stayed close and continued to purr. But as she did she hummed slightly. It was just a simple song, one that the nekos sang when they couldn't sleep. Hopefully it would help him to sleep. He had stayed up longer then he should have and needed to sleep.

"but... I have to... Watch..." he mumbled sleepily, his eyes closing and he was unable to open them. Sighing softly, Dustna slowly began falling into a deep restful sleep that he needed. As he slept he had a small smile on his face, and his multipul burns were shrinking swiftly, he was going to be just fine it seemed.

JOrden smiled when she saw him fall asleep and stayed close to him. She continued to hum slightly and gently stroked his head as he slept. He needed the sleep more then she did and she could protect them. Her ears stayed up nad alert and wondered if they where going to come and get her back.

Dustan slowly woke as the last rays of the sun dissappeared behind the eart. Rubbing his eyes he yawned and streched. Surprised to find Jordan still awake he looked at her worriedly. "Jordan? Did you stay up all day?" he asked softly and ran a hand threw his hair before cupping both her cheeks and kissing her forehead.

Jordan stayed close to him and didn't let her eyes drop at all. When she heard his voice she smiled and closed her eyes slightly when she felt her lips on his forhead. She then kissed him gently and smiled, "I wanted to make sure that you where okay." she said softly and stayed close to him.

Dustan looked at Jordan and shook his head but returned her kiss. He then looked into her eyesand sighed. "Alrght you sleep as we travel then and I'll sleep while its day. It will be the best way to keep eachother safe and rested." he said softly and then kissed the top of her head and moved the bushes away and went to get the horse ready.

JOrden nodded when she heard him and kissed his cheek before he left. She then curled up on the ground as he went to get the horse ready and closed her eyes. She was really tired and wanted to sleep after everything that has happened. After a few minutes she was fast asleep thinking of Dustan.

Smiling softly as he came back Dustan gently picked up Jordan and mounted the horse. He rode all threw the night, sometimes having to get off and clear the path forthem, but besides that everything was relatively quiet. Well that and having to avoid other travelers, but his magic was strong enough to cover for them. Soon as the sun began to slowly approach the goddess's temple cave was seen. "Jordan, wake up." he whispered softly and shook her shoulders.

Jorden slowly stered when she felt him and then her eyes started to open. She looked at him and smiled, "hey." she said softly and kissed him gently. "where are we?" she asked him softly and looked around. But then she saw the cave and could only smiled more.

"we made it faster then I thought we would." Dustan said happily and then kissed the top of her head. "I guess that we should go in now?" he whispered curiously as he looked at her. He wasn't sure if he was able to enter the cave temple but he knew that he needed to get out of the sunlight soon, or he would start burning alive if he wasn't careful. Looking down at jordan he couldn't help but grin, maybe they could really be together from now on, or so he hoped.

Jordan smiled at him and kissed his cheek gently, "no, you have to go and hide somewhere. Only neko's are allowed for she is our goddess. If you tried to get in you might get hurt and I dont want that. So you should go and find a nice dark place to hide." she said as she looked at him.

Smiling widely Dustan was excited, until he was told he couldn't go inside. Frowning he sighed and then nodded. "alright." he said softly and then looked around. Finding another small cave he pointed to it and then kissed jordan softly. "Please be careful, and you know where to find me." he whispered softly and then dissappeared into the cave before he was burnt to a crisp/

Jordan watched him go and wished that he coudl go. She then headed into the cave and as she went deeper the cave became brighter. She smiled when she saw the statue and hoped that she could convince the goddess to take back this gift. As she got closer she kneeled down infront of the statue and placed her hands on the statue. She waited for a few minutes and then she felt the goddesss precence. "oh goddess, I ask you to simply take your gift back.It is causing to much trouble for one neko to have." she said softly and waited for a response.

((the goddess neko looks like a regualr neko with white ears and a tail. Her robes are made of light and bright colors. Or at least that's what comes to mind for me. And I agree it would be too sad so sight it is))

As the light grew brighter the goddess heard her prayers and appeared, walking down from the glowing light like stair steps. Her beautiful golden hair flowed as if in a constant breeze and her white ears and tail seemed perfect in every way. Her bright green cat eyes gazed down upon Jordan as her robe of colors flowed like a river upon her, her beautiful pale skin shimmering in the light. "Are you sure you want this child?" she whispered, though her words echoed threw the cave. "A price must be paid to give back a gift." she whispered once more, her eyes staring intently at the small neko before her.

Jorden shook as she stayed kneeled before her goddess. You could feel the power that was coming off of her and she wondered if she would be offended. But she had to stay strong so she nodded, "yes, my goddess, I do wish this. This has only brought me and my loved one into trouble. I wish to be safe and be with him. I will pay any price to be with him." she said softly and thought of dustan. She would do anything and pay anything to be with him.

Looking down at the small neko a frown flit across the goddess's features. "Many beloved nekos have fallen in love, and many have stayed on the straight path and not give into feelings with outsiders." she said a hint of anger in her voice. "All of your ancestors have avoided loving their protectors, why must you insist on loving this outsider?"

Jorden stayed shook more when she heard the anger in hier voice but stayed strong. "all of my ancestors have had the same problem, my goddess, they just never gave in. They all made themselves not give in to the one person that they loved more then anything else. But I cant, I cant walk away from the love I have for him. He is the only one I will ever love and I want to be with him no matter what." she said.
