As the rope went around him he almost let out a scream and fell backward when she hit his legs. Looking up at he muttered something under his breath and glared up at her. Slowly taking in a deep breath and struggling against the rope, before it began to tighten. "What the heck!" He exclaimed staying still again.

Quickly he forced himself to get over it. No way was Miles letting her win. That would hurt his pride way to much. "Well I would much prefer you tied up, but I guess this way is fine as well." He stated with a half smirk. Miles wasn't going to show the girl weakness. There was no chance. Looking up at her he sighed slightly. "You know you're pretty light weight. Very adorable to. Is that a witch thing? Or does it come naturally?" Flirting with the small witch, couldn't hurt, right? After all he was completely tied up. What did he have to lose?

-------

Isela couldn't hold back a giggle as she watched the two of them fall. Slowly she knelt down next to Jordan and gently reached to turn him over and help him sit up. There was no reason for him to have to freeze in the snow. She touched his cheek softly brushing the snow off. "I told you not all witches are bad, but you didn't believe me. You brought this upon yourself. Besides what did you expect when I asked to go to the bathroom?"*

The young witch snapped her fingers and a stack of blankets appeared. They were brightly colored, like her bedroom. Quickly she grabbed one and wrapped it around him. "So Elvira, where are we headed? I could always get a tent for out here. What do you think?" Obviously as a witch the tent wasn't just a one night camping thing. Isela had gotten good at making it almost as big as her own home. While Elvira would get revenge, Isela practiced the more, well unique spells.*

Without a word Elvira snapped her fingers and that light weight of hers in reward greatly. The only defense she had against Miles flirting, she wasn't use to compliments and they rather frightened her. Only person she would let closer to her was Isela. If he hugged her she would probably set him unfire than run to Isela panicked. "Better?" she asked tonelessly as she pulled her weighted legs up on him too.

"I'll look at the map. We can't exactly bring these guys to any of my hind outs. Would be killed with out a second thought..." she explained deep in thought as she leaned forward to get her bag and dug through it for the map. Nothing was marked on it because she had memorized all the locations. "We can venture into he crystal forest know some forest despises there that will help us. Peaceful creatures." she spoke looking over the map a well traveled witch that had settled down the day she met Isela and found something worth her time.

[{Crystal forest is your woodish picture, thought it would be a nice place in the froze tundra. Also I was think the 'creatures' home could be your cool building picture. Up to you though a change in setting seems appropriate.}]
---------

Like a child that got introuble Jordan sat up with a pout not willing to deny Isela. "Maybe I wanted you to get away. You are too kind to be a witch and I don't want getting on your friends bad side. You torture me with your unbelievable kindness and she will cause me pain. I never thought witches could get a long so well..." he muttered speaking all the thoughts in his mind seeing no point in holding back. Everything he learned never covered this.

In his teaching the spoke of witches being hideous, hostile, and territorial. These two differ from all those claims. Yes, Elvira was hostile but that seemed only when Isela was in danger. A compassionate hostility and Isela, she went against it all. She left Jordan speechless and lost, he couldn't even cringe away from her touch or the blanket that got draped over his shoulders. He couldn't deny he was glad to meet a pair of witches like than and get caught before they brought them to their deaths. They didn't deserve it.

Isela laughed softly and smiled at the thought of others wanting to kill the two. "Peaceful creatures sound much more my taste than your hideouts." She stated softly. Isela absolutely loved the crystal forest, although she had only heard about it so she couldn't be sure that it was as amazing as Elvira and her mother said. "That sounds fun. As long as it's not just boring white snow like here, I'll be very happy." At that her gaze turned back to Jordan with a slight smile, she didn't let Elvira see.*

"I kind of think you did want us to get away. Just face it you're starting to like us." Isela giggled and grinned at him. Really she was happy he had said something about them being to kind. "Well, Elvira won't hurt you unless I tell her to. Well or if you do something stupid that she thinks deserves it. Although I can't promise she won't hurt Miles." At that she stood and reached her hands back down to help him stand up even though he was all tied up.*

-----
*
Miles cried out as he weight changed. "Okay! I'll shut up. Get off me! I can't breath!" He gasped trying to push her off of him. "I don't get you. Not one bit. Really I was only trying to compliment you." Okay, so that wasn't completely true, but he hadn't exactly meant to make her angry or something. Yet even as tiny as she was, he couldn't manage to get her off. Her weight must have changed by hundreds of pounds.

As Isela and Elvira spoke he gasped a bit, successfully pushing Elvira over a bit to be on top of his stomach rather that right on his chest. She was more manageable weight wise. "Umm.. Elvira... I really have to go to the bathroom. And unlike you two I'm not saying it to get away, But you're making me have to go to the bathroom way worse by sitting on me..."

{{That sounds perfect to me. :) I almost forgot about the picture part of the role-play until you just said something xD}}

Elvira rolled her eyes. "What can I say. I'm a witch and the people I hang around hate the people who try to kill me. Give me a break that I'm taking your feelings into account." she muttered before stepping off Miles, her foot sinking into the snow easily till she shifted her weight and the rest of her steps made barely a dent. Than she turned to look at Miles. "Why compliment me? It'll get you nowhere. You wanted me dead! Just go..." she growled before snapping her fingers to bring Syr back her demon helper. "Follow him."

-----

Jordan quickly looked over at Miles surprised to hear his companion cry out, it actually made him smile a little. "I guess I am... Don't worry about Miles, he deserves what is coming to him. He is what you call a heartbreaker. Gets a girl to fall in love with him only to leave her crying and broken. I believe Elvira will be a good change for him." he explained watching the two but got distracted by Isela accepting her help without a complaint.

Now standing he felt a little better. Still he hated being bound and felt kind of bad for all the witches they captured if it was like this. "Thank you." He moved a little not very far just moving his legs till he was standing before Elvira who just looked at him with her head cocked to the side and left him for Isela. "Guess I won't be getting her to speak to me...."

------

Elvira left her demon to help Miles not wanting to touch the hunter even though she was impressed he had enough strength to shift her body to his stomach. "Isela can you help me?" she asked her hands tangled in her braids that were coming out. This was the only way Elvira felt defenseless and inferior, she could fight and survive, just not take care of herself. Cooking was hard for her and she never took care of her hair, it was full of leaves.

[{Alright. Well, I'll always remember.}]

Miles stood up carefully, and looked at the little witch. "Well excuse me for being nice. Didn't know it was a crime. And no I didn't personally want you dead, the town wants you dead, and it happens to be my job to work for them." He pointed out turning to walk away when the creepy demon appeared again. Instead of making a comment he walked on through the snow.*

------

"Eventually.. She might grow used to you." Isela said, smiling up to him and reaching over to change how tight the ropes were around him. Hopefully he wouldn't notice them as much that way but if he tried to get out they'd tighten again. Quickly she kissed his cheek, leaving a tingling sensation on his skin. "Careful what you say. I can hear every word." So to hear his words probably wasn't to important, but to hear Miles, might be. She wasn't to worried. Just good to be safe. Carefully she pushed him forward to walk and smiled at him. "Go make sure Miles is in one piece, we don't want Syr to eat him."*

-----

Miles looked around a moment, not sure how he was going to go to the bathroom in the ropes. Sighing slightly he just turned back and walked over to Jordan. "I'll just wait until we're somewhere you might possibly untie me." He stated. As long as she didn't sit on him again, then he would be perfectly fine. Well, and he hoped they'd get there sometime soon. Maybe within the next few hours.*

---------

Laughing Isela made a brush appear in her hands and walked over to Elvira. The two were so different it was rather amusing. Isela kept everything about her as perfect as possible as often as possibly, she loved how Elvira didn't even seem to try." Carefully she brushed then smaller girls braids out and the leaves caught in them, before redoing them neatly and tying the bottoms so they'd stay. "Okay, all set. I'm not thinking they'll stay that nice for to long though. You seem to be a leaf magnet."

Elvira looked at her new braids surprised Isela could tame her curly mass of hair she was glad it was bound though. Even though the braids made her look a lot younger. If she didn't attract leaves so much she would wear her hair down more often. "Thank you. Seems you're the only one that can control my hair and its magical ways of attracting nature." she laughed before getting up to meet Jordan's mount. It didn't take her long to be come friends with the creature.

------

Jordan was still in a slight daze from the kiss he received and just Isela herself. She boggled his mind and left him captivated. "Like I would do that!" he laughed at Miles statement shaking his head. "Why not try to show the little lady some respect. Talk to her, not flirt. For once you met a girl who doesn't like it, get over it." He didn't want to upset either of the witches, he felt no danger when Isela was around and Elvira seemed just afraid of his as he was her. Eyeing the demon he felt no threat from the creature either, it was doing exactly what Elvira asked and simply followed Miles, nothing more, nothing less.

With more freedom to move his arms from the loosened ropes he shoved Miles towards the little witch surprised she had befriend his horse. "Make amends, put your ego behind you and your enjoyment of breaking a girls heart. This time at least get on this ones good side. Rather have her as an ally than an enemy." he almost scowled his friend believing the two could get along if they just took the time to talk. Then there would be a chance of no more ropes.

------

Even though Elvira was petting the nose of Jordan's mount she was still paying attention to Isela. "You like the Hunter, Jordan don't you?" she asked a perceptive little person. No matter how hard Isela tried to hid something from her she quickly learned from her friends body language to what shown in her eyes. "I won't be angry with you. He seems like a decent guy... Wants nothing to do with me. Stop worrying and enjoy yourself." she said with an amused laugh liking that fact. Miles touched her and spoke to her in such ways, she didn't like at least not will she distrusted him so much. They didn't feel nice to her.

*"I guess I'm just magical." She laughed looking at her friends hair and walking over to her side. She didn't touch the mount like Elvira, she was to afraid of the animal. At least for now she was. "I guess.. I do like him a little bit..." Isela's cheeks turned light pink as he pretended to examine the ground. "Oh Elvira, he's so sweet and wonderful. I've never met someone so odd. It's adorable. I mean... I don't know. He's nothing like any other boy I've talked to. He doesn't talk about himself all the time or make rude remarks. Elvira..." She suddenly stopped speaking and looked over her friends head. "Talk to Miles, okay? I'll be right over there. Nothing will happen."*

----

Miles looked to Jordan with a sigh. "Fine. I'll try. Just don't expect us to be all loveydovey in five seconds like you and Poka-dots." He hissed walking over to Elvira's side. He didn't step forward though. She and Isela had still been speaking. Slowly as the other girl left he walked over a good three feet away from Elvira. Taking a deep breath, he managed to smile.

"Listen.. I'm sorry I can be such a jerk sometimes. I really don't mean to come across that way all the time. Guess it's just who I've always been." He stated looking at the floor. "I.." Pausing, he looked up to meet her gaze. "Elvira, could we start again please?" He wanted to try something, to forget being an arrogant witch hunter and actually try to talk with a girl, as friends. Nothing more, not until she trusted him.*

------

"So... What was he saying about loveydovey?" She asked, having heard bits of their conversation during her own with Elvira. She looked up at Jordan and touched the rope around him. "If I just tie your wrists, you won't run. Right?" She asked hating the thought of him being as uncomfortable as she had been before. It just didn't seem fair. Okay, so she really did like him, a good deal more than she had expected. Then again, she didn't have to brainwash the kid if anything strange happened and he wasn't some magical giant or a strange fairy. Either way, Isela was rather enjoying his company.*

"I don't think you are capable of love anyways Miles. Just make amends so you don't end up dead..." he called back to him with a laugh smiling at Isela as she came to stand over by him perplexed by her question. No one had ever asked him before and he was thinking about how to respond. "That is a very hard question. He is referring to what lovers do. I suggest ignoring it, he is just angry he has to make amends with a girl for once in his life." he said with a chuckle wanting to watch but put his attention to the girl standing before him. She was of more importance to him at the moment and he could still hear what went down.

-------

Elvira looked absolutely crest fallen when Isela left her alone with Miles however she couldn't muster any anger towards her. Instead she bottled herself up again and stiffened like a board when the hunter came near. He may of been okay with being three feet apart, she wasn't and extended it by a few more. "Why are you doing this? I know you were setup so just stop if you don't mean it..." she snapped looking away unable to hold his gaze no matter how hard she tried.

Already upset she practically burst at the seems. "How could I ever make amends and with a hunter? Hunters chased me all my life after my parents even tried to capture me to go get killed. Like I could do that! You may not of killed me but you people ruined my life... and you haven't shown me anything different." with that she slipped behind the other side of the horse putting something between her and Miles. Her next plan was probably the stupidest. With a snap of her fingers she let the ropes fall from his body, if he tried anything they would be around him in a second. "Show me you are willing to start over by not treating me like a witch..."

------

Jordan watched Isela a gentle smile on his face pleased with how he could so easily have a conversation with her and not worry about getting hurt. "Why would I run? You could probably bind me in seconds." he said with a chuckle curious why she was offering something like that. Honestly though he had no desire to run, he was getting tired of being a witch hunter. It was pleasant having people hate you and want you dead. Which made him realize that it was probably how she felt and felt rather disgusted he planned on taking her back to that village.

"It's what I was taught. I've never known anything different, I've never met a witch like you or Isela." Miles stated watching her. "What do you want me to say here, I can't apologize for being a witch hunter. It's not what I chose. I didn't get a choice. My family decided for me. Of all people you should understand that. You didn't choose to be a witch." Pausing for a moment the ropes dropped from around him he stretched a bit but didn't move. Although he did take a slight step to the side so he could see her over the mount.*

"This isn't about you being a witch or me being a witch hunter. We both are what we are. That title can't go away. I'm not treating you like a witch. I'm treating you like a girl. Even ask Jordan! I'm the same way to anyone." Taking a deep breath he reached a hand across to her. "I don't want to treat you as a witch, but you can't blame me for being afraid of you. How can I prove to you that I'm not treating you like a witch? I'll do my best to try." He whispered, this was killing his ego right now, but he didn't really want her angry with him. Jordan was right about it being better to be friends. So for once he would try and be kind like Jordan.*

-----

Isela smiled slightly. "A hard question? Or just a difficult topic in general?" She asked softly. "Love, I don't get why it makes people so nervous all the time. I guess I've never seen it to believe those stories." She began to untie the ropes from around him, and instead of tying his hands she reached over and innocently took his hand in her own. "There. Now you can't run without me knowing." Although she did believe he wouldn't. Glancing back she saw Elvira and watched her friend with a slight smile. "They seem a lot alike you know..." Well not in most ways, but something about Miles and Elvira's personality was rather similar.*

"Have you ever been in Love Jordan?" Isela asked wondering what happened to a person after they were in love. What a funny topic Miles words had gotten her mind into. As she spoke the words held an innocence that showed she truly did wonder what love meant and had no thought of it being a strange subject between a boy and girl. "You know, I never knew my Dad? Mom always told me men were dirty and rotten that no woman ever needed to fall in love. Although she'd cry at night and I'd here her cry out his name sometimes. Those were nights I'd go and visit Elvira. She's more family than my mother was. I know she seems kind of scary but really she is nice." At that point Isela realized how much she was talking and blushed looking down. "Sorry.. I talk a lot... Elvira says so too."*

Elvira listened without an expression on her face, she didn't feel sad or happy and felt no point putting an emotion on her face. Though she was nervous, she was driving Miles away for reasons unknown to her but he wasn't going away. Everything had been going okay in her mind till his hand came towards her and Elvira's face turned horrified, the face of someone tortured. Panic washed over her and she quickly expanded the distance, looking at him with fear this time. "D-d-don't touch me..." she stammered escaping to where she sat in the snow holding herself.

"It has never been about you being a witch hunter, only fear for the stack I've been tied to so many times... Do you know what it feels like to have villagers scream 'Burn her! Burn her!' and a torch of fire advancing towards you. How could I escape not kill a few people..." Elvira held her head in her hands fighting back the memories. "I never meant too... Couldn't even handle the pain an ultimately sold my soul to the devil himself. All before I meant Isela, I'm such a foul..." she laughed her body shaking close to tears she couldn't hold it in anymore all these things she feared Isela hearing but couldn't hold in.

-----

Joradn raised an eyebrow feeling Isela's hand around his instead of ropes binding his wrists. "Thank you. You really didn't have to do this." he said with a gentle smile before watching the other two surprised to see Miles unbound and free. "They both seem instinctual than methodical, it would be nice when they can find a balance. Could bring out the good in each other. I've never seen Miles acting so kindly before, it is a refreshing shock." he chuckled leaving the two to there quarreling and makeup. He didn't want to get involved, that could ruin it all, either way he preferred Isela's company.

Though what she asked next got Jordan chocking from swallowing down his air pipe before looking at her shocked. "I have only she didn't seem to have the same feelings as I. Could make her happy no matter how hard I tried to please her. Think I was the one that ended up with a broken heart." he spoke seeing no point to lie about the end of his love life. Though he listened to Isela not interrupting her but ended up laughing at her last comment. "I think I'm starting to like Elvira with how you are describing her, a wise woman she is." he teased. "You are fine Isela, don't worry. Talk to your hearts content. It seems both of you needed each other, I don't want to begin imaging Elvira without you." he spoke assuming Isela's personality rubbed off on the smaller witch.

"Sorry." He whispered pulling his hand back. As he listened he wanted to walk over to her and hug her tightly, but thought she probably wouldn't be to happy with him, so instead he just stepped over and knelt down infront of her. "I... Understand... I can only imagine what that could possibly feel like. Killing someone for that, well it really was for your own safety." He bit his lip and was upset himself that this seemed to be tearing her apart for so many years. "I wish I could go back to before that all happened and take you away from it. Have you meet Isela sooner before you sold your soul. You're mean for the right reasons. To nice to belong to the devil." He stated softly.*

-------

"It couldn't have been real love.. Not if she didn't love you back." Isela stated quietly. "I can't imagine a girl not liking you though, or you not making her happy. I don't know, I'm happy just talking with you." The blush on her cheeks deepened quickly and she looked down at the ground, a bit to late for him not to see. "Oh but she really is wise. She's the wisest person I know! I've always asked her for help on everything. Well not everything. Just almost everything. I mean I haven't known her forever so I couldn't have asked her questions before meeting her."*

At that she glanced up hearing Elvira. She almost pulled away from Jordan and ran to her friends side, but she was afraid that then the little witch would never get to like Miles. So instead she stood there glancing at her friend every few moments in case Miles upset her. She didn't know what to say to Jordan now though. Every topic she could think of would end up making her nervous or embarrassed. "How about you talk this time. I don't think before I speak and I'll end up saying something dumb or a secret without thinking, like how I'm starting to like you a lot." Isela's eyes widened and her had flew to cover her mouth. This kind of stuff never happened when she talked to Elvira. Why was it all going wrong now? Maybe it was because there wasn't anything to hide from Elvira so there was nothing extra floating around her mind.*

----

"Just pointing it out, but I don't think you're a fool. No matter what you did or said, you grew from it and became a little smarter each time you save yourself from something horrible. Besides, maybe you would be going to hell even without selling your soul. Trust me I know that's where I'll end up when I die." Miles stated trying his best to keep her from crying. It wasn't like him to care if a girl was upset or not, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't be happy watching her be anymore upset than she already was. For some reason, a witch was bring a change upon him. As he thought about it, that change was completely freaking him out.*

Unbelievable to Elvira her hand reached out to place her fingertips against Miles for head. It all started when he said "imagine." He didn't have to imagine when she could show him. For some reasons she wanted him to know because he hadn't run from her, screamed at her, or told her she was revolting for killing. That alone allowed her to open up at little worrying about this the day she did it after seeing the reaction of the villagers. His was the first to be different in a way it left an impression on her. "I'm sorry..." she let out a sigh letting her hand fall away. "Thought that you wouldn't have to imagine if I showed you and react with the honest truth. I can't trust that you believe that and the chances of me going with you would be even slimmer." she laughed trying to smile not wanting to show the turmoils in her heart all the dark secrets she hid an attempt to deter him.

-----

Jordan listened an amused smile on his face. "I guess I was to ignorant to realize it wasn't love. Glad to hear I can at least make you happy. The ladies don't exactly go for me. I'm not very straight forward or as they would describe Miles, a bad boy. They seem into that, I don't know why, only trouble." he spoke letting her blush slide without a response from him. Felt no need to make it obvious or make her anymore embarrassed than she was. "I would like to sit down and talk to her sometime. I believe I could learn a lot from her." He had an alternate motive for that statement, he wanted to learn more about Isela from someone that would be willing to give him the information.

"I don't have much to talk about honestly. I'm not that interesting... I would love hearing more about you. Guess I can try. Well, I got into the whole hunter business because of my family. Taught you guys were ugly old hags with tons of warts. A surprise you two were the complete opposite, you would be a catch in some of the big cities. Glad you guys showed me, the light." he spoke with a smile quietly watching Miles out of the corner of his eye ready to gently nudge Isela towards her friend. It wasn't that he didn't trust Miles not to hurt her, he didn't trust that he could make it better. Rather have Isela comfort the little witch. Seemed she would be more willing to let her emotions out. "I also have a strong desire to have you happy which means she needs to be happy too. Go to her if you feel the need, I won't stop you and I won't run."

-----

Elvira wrapped her head in her arms trying to hold the tears in assuming her antics were stupid. He put a false hope in her heart, that someone wouldn't look at her with disgust that wasn't Isela another witch that understood her pain. No, it was a hunter. What could be more uplifting than that, it just wasn't possible and now she kept her head on her knees not lifting it to look at Miles. She didn't want to see his reaction or his eyes. Eyes always gave away the true feelings of someone. The gateways into the soul and she didn't want to see his. "I'm sorry..." was all she could murmur in her denial.

(oh dear.. Edit to the bottom parenthses that my iPod won't let me edit, I was refering to miles part.)

Miles looked at her for a moment before seeing her memory pass before him. "Wow... They were a little harsh. Even for you being a witch and all.." He whispered, still wanting to reach out and comfort her, instead he sat back in the snow and looked across at her. "Elvira- I can tell you don't really want to be smiling right now. I'm not stupid." He whispered watching her closely wondering if just one moment was going to explode. Although he didn't quite know what emotion was building up inside her. It could be hate, anger, or sadness. Miles himself was actually quite angry at the fact he was a witch hunter.*

------

"I think you're very sweet. And between you and me, Miles scares the crap out of me. I really don't know why someone would like him." Isela stated very softly, with a smile. "Although he is starting to grow on me..." She whispered seeing how he was trying to handle Elvira. As Jordan talk she looked at him and listened before grinning at him and laughing. "I guess you guys all read to many old story books. If you actually looked carefully the witch always transformed from a beautiful lady to the ugly old hag just to put the spell on someone. They always changed back afterword. Like the evil queen in Snow White. She was the most beautiful until Snow white came along."*

Pausing she glanced back at Elvira shaking her head. "I don't think I can help her yet. It's something about being a witch. I know that... But if it's what I think, she wouldn't want my opinion. Just watch. Give your friend a chance." She whispered, ready to sprint toward Elvira if anything did happen. "Just saying, but if he touches her, be ready to run over there with me and pull him away. When she gets upset, some... Well bad things can happen randomly." Isela felt happy standing with Jordan, even if she did happen to be watching her friend upset. He really was so sweet and it seemed that she could say almost anything without him getting upset or angry. Jordan made her smile, even if there didn't quite seem to be very much to smile about.*

--------

As she buried her head a frown formed on his lips. Before Miles could become afraid, he reached forward and Touched her arm. Reaching with his other hand to tilt her head up. "Don't apologize when there isn't anything to apologize about. Okay? If you do want to talk, I'll be here. I'm here until you tell me otherwise." At that he pulled back and stood up walking over to Jordan. When he did so, Isela hurried over and sat next to her friend, wrapping her arms around the girl. Miles watched, wondering if the little witch hated him. Glancing to Jordan he sighed. "Girls.... I will never be able to figure them out." He mumbled with a slight smile.

(It's kinda short and repetitive I think... Sorry. It's late though... Proably should have wait to reply until tomorrow.)

[{Sorry if this is short and the delay. Really, really busy with school. Two tests Friday and like two projects, my time is quite limited.}]

Elvira didn't even know how she felt, there were many emotions flowing through her, anger, regret, guilt, sadness, and the list continued on. Not a single one pertaining to happiness or could lighten the heavy mood. It had always been hard for her to have conversations for being uncomfortable around them only Isela made and exception so far. Though Miles left a pretty nice imprint when he touched her so gently with such comforting words. He sent her world into a roller coaster of confusion watching him leave her side and be replaced by Isela.

With a heavy sigh Elvira let her head rest against her not wanting to move a muscle for once thankful for a hug. Only this time she returned it having a desire just to be held because tears had escaped her many years ago when she learned they fixed nothing. "Isela, I suggest conjuring up that tent of yours. Don't think we will be traveling till morning, to dangerous and I'm sorry but I have a strong desire to go on a stroll alone. Collect myself before I do something stupid because I lost control." she said holding her friend knowing she would understand that bad things happened when she got upset. It was uncontrollable for her, when her emotions got too dark they became, alive.

--------

Jordan chuckled listening to her explain how witches were, it made him wish they didn't do that because than less hunters would try to take them away. What guy didn't become weak at the sight of a gorgeous girl? Elvira had the big brown eyes that melted your heart while Isela was the porcelain doll that he found more attraction too. Preferred beautiful to adorable. "I would love to give him a chance but this is something new for him. This will only being a learning experience not a help. I have faith he won't mess up though. When Miles decides to do something he gets it done." he explained raising an eyebrow at the comment about what could happen if Elvira got upset. "Between you and me, Elvira scares the hell out of me..." he told her with a smile so she now had a secret to hold onto before letting her run to her friend.

"Because you have never tried to before Miles. I'm proud of you! Your growing up..." Jordan teased patting his shoulder while acting like he was wiping tears from his eyes before getting serious and looking over at his friend. He wanted an answer to his next question and he wasn't going to let him run. "So what do you think of her now?" he mused wanting to know the thoughts that troubled his companions mind so he could help ease the confusion.

(don't worry about it. I'm going on yet another trip in. 5 hours do I have to get to bed and don't know when I'll have Time to get back on.***

"She's not really all that mean." Miles said after Jordan finished with his act. "I like her, I just hope she likes me a little bit." He said looking over to the small girl. "Did you see here eyes? They make me want to cry. I could see the sadness in them." Looking down for a moment he realized how he was talking and took in a breath. "She's great. I think she'll be the strong willed girl I've always looked for." He nodded and looked to Jordan. "So Isela- she's sweet, right? You two seem to already like each other."*

-----

Holding her friend she rubbed the girls back and smiled softly. "We don't want you making someone explode like you did last time you were angry." Isela joked and helped her friend stand up, still holding her arms around the small girl. Like a protective mother would hold her daughter. "Go take a walk, but don't go to far. If anything happens, just scream. I'll set the tent up in the woods a bit more. So you might have to look carefully to find it." Gently she pushed Elvira forward *before walking over to Jordan and Miles.

*"Don't follow her, but keep an eye out, okay?" She said to Miles, before reaching to take Jordan's hand. "I'm going to show you magic. Okay?" Isela said pulling him into the forest a few trees deeper to where a small clearing was as they arrived she wiggled her finger and moved the *sticks for her. After a bit she snapped them again and a tent slowly began build itself.*

-----

Miles watched Elvira go. He watched her from far enough that she was just a blob, and only took steps closer when he absolutely had to. Obviously he knew she wanted to be alone so he didn't bother her, but Miles wanted to be sure she was okay. For everyones sake. After all, he knew at least Isela would be devastated and he would be pretty close behind.

[{Alright, don't worry. I'll most likely still be around when you get back. Can say I'm pretty busy the rest of this week so I ma not be getting on. Reply when you get back.}]

"Wow, this is a first for you. I'm happy for you that you finally found a girl you don't want to make suffer a heartbreak." This time Jordan was genuine when he placed his hand on his friends shoulder. He was happy for him and could see the change in Miles slowly developing. "Extremely. What can I say when you understand girls things have more meaning. She is gorgeous and down to earth. I couldn't dislike anything about her." He spoke with a smile watching the two girls interact.

It surprised him when Isela dragged him away and a laugh escaped his lips while he willingly followed. "Just don't mess up and change my skin or hair some odd color." he teased her a little getting comfortable around her as he gently squeezed her hand. He actually anticipated seeing her use magic. So his face lit up like a kid in a candy store as he watched the tent erect itself and how large it was.

------

Elvira laughed a little at the memory and gave Isela a gentle squeeze in thanks for cheering her up a little. When she got the chance she started to walk away knowing Isela would be safe. Not wasting a step she entered the forest right away her hand trailing across the truck of the trees while she stared at the sky through the leaves. That was till she saw and injured doe on the ground. Elvira may of been horrible with people but she was amazing with animals.

It didn't take her long to have the animals head in her lap as she went about to healing the creatures wounds. Only for Elvira when it came to healing whatever she did took from her health, so by the time she was done her face was pale and her palms sweaty. "I know you are there Miles. So stop being a stalker and join me. If you are quiet I won't mind." she allowed her voice to reach his ears, she sensed his presence the second he was in the forest. Along with Isela and Jordan, this was her home.

Miles looked down and tried to smile at Jordans reaction, although he was already walking away from him and following Elvira, so he whispered to himself instead. "I've never actually liked a girl for anything more than looks. I don't know how to act around her... I'm afraid." As Elvira noticed him he felt embarrassed. "Sure... I'll stay quiet." he whispered watching her for a moment before moving to sit down.*

The boy looked at her and saw how weak she looked. "You can't be using magic to heal him.. You're going to hurt yourself. Please stop. We can care for her as a normal human could." Miles whispered softly reaching over to touch the animal gently. He didn't want Elvira to get hurt trying to use magic to save the animal. Maybe Isela could help, but he knew it was to much for one person, and he cared to much for her to allow her to get hurt because she was upset. Then he would probably blame himself for not protecting her well.*

------

"You'd look very cute in green though." Isela grinned at him and giggled watching his face. "I can do a lot more than that. But I think I have something that might be even more magical than that." She wasn't sure though. So quickly she glanced around and slowly leaned up to him letting her lips lightly meet his. She'd only kissed someone once before, so she didn't do anything more than brush her lips across his. A slight pink blush came across her cheeks and she pulled back still holding his hand. The kiss wasn't magic. It was the tingly feeling afterword.*

Isela smiled slightly. "Come on, it's getting late. We get to share a room, because I have to make sure you don't get away from me." With a tug she guided him into the tent. If he thought the outside looked big he would be amazed by how much bigger it was on the inside. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room/dinning room. All magically filled with furniture. "I hope you don't mind sharing. It's a king sized bed so I'm not worried about space.

Elvira started to laugh before looking over at Miles, "Such ignorance. All magic hurts me Miles that is how I and Isela differ. I may be able to do horrible things with magic but it comes at a price. Guess that is why I'm so upset all the time, always in pain just to survive." she explained herself so he knew she was doing this not for the sake of hurting herself. To her the doe in her lap meant everything to her. She had to get it back on its feet and living again. With gentle strokes she calmed the deer down and relaxed it.

"So how does this normal human method work? If it involves leaving the doe like this, you are a moron. She would be killed in minutes after we left her." her words seemed distant as she watched the suffering deer calming its nerves with her touch. "I must save her and give her a fighting chance..." Without heading Miles pleas she went to healing up the broken leg so the deer could at least stand and they could get the animal to the tent. Some premonition in her told her Miles wouldn't let her continue and the last thing she wanted was to be cared by him or need his assistance to walk.

--------

"Like a troll, I would pass on that no matter how cute I looked." he smiled playing along with her comment before raising an eyebrow at her curious what witches could truly do. It shocked Jordan when Isela kissed him to the point he didn't even register what was happening till it was over. He felt more embarrassed he hadn't even the chance to return her kiss. "I wonder if I can make magic too." he smiled before leaning down and kissing her only his was a little more experienced. His lips didn't brush against hers. No, they molded into her lips forming a perfect interlocking of their lips before he pulled away. "So how was I?" he asked smiling at her thinking her blush was adorable.

What shocked him more was the fact he would be sharing a room with her. Had thought he would be stuck with Miles and the girls would be together. "Do you think it is safe to have Miles and Elvira in a room together?" he asked not knowing if Miles would keep his hands of the smaller witch. From what he heard she didn't like being touched and when she got upset bad things happened. Though his thoughts were brought to nothingness as he looked around the tent in disbelief.

She giggled softly and grinned up at him. "You're magic is much better than mine." Isela whispered looking too him with a wide smile. "Elvira will be fine. I think we both want to keep an eye on you. I definitely don't trust you two to not run off." Besides the fact Elvira would make him explode if he touched her wrong. Isela also kinda wanted to share a room with him, she figured he wouldn't mind her talking to him at night and sometimes that seemed to get on Elvira's nerves when she was tired. "Elvira's room, I can make it be two twin beds I guess. Maybe that would be a good plan..." She snapped her fingers knowing that the bed in there split in two. "We'll be good now. There are two beds in there."

She gently kissed his cheek and hugged him pulling him over to the kitchen area. "What would you like to eat? Anything I make would be very yummy. Trust me." Isela looked up to him with a wide smile knowing that she wouldn't really be cooking. Most of her meals disappeared from the kitchens of restaurants, but money appeared in the cash register. So it ended up to not be stolen, although sometimes she thought it probably confused the workers. "I guess I could really cook something if you want. I haven't done that in a while though." Isela looked around a bit, wondering if she could manage. After all, maybe it would be fun to do it for herself. She wondered if Jordan would like her trying not to use her magic.*

-----

"I didn't know that." He whispered looking to her. "Why don't you try to stop using magic that hurts you so much? I mean this is a great reason to use your magic but you're already hurting yourself to much." Miles touched her arm and looked right at her. "Animals know how to take care of themselves- that's what you're suppose to let them do. Everything happens for a reason. But because to think it's the right thing we should bring her back to the tent." As he paused his eyes went to the animal as it had it's leg healed.*

"We aren't to far from the tent. Let's walk her back and help her there. I'm sure Isela would help too, and you need to eat something. I'm not saying you shouldn't use magic I just think you need to use it in small amounts and take a break." He stood up and walked over reaching his hand out to her, hoping she'd take it and get up. "Come on, you have to get up before we can help her stand. I promise I'm not going to do anything except help."

"No matter how much Miles drives me mad some days I don't want him to explode that would just be sad. Need a girl to break him which I had hoped would be Elvira. Will be nice to see him lose his persona of being a jerk." Jordan chuckled gently wrapping his arms around Elvira's waist from behind resting his chin on her shoulder. "I'm going to enjoy staying in a room with you. Promise I won't try anything. Rather have something around this finger." he smiled wiggling his ring finger out in front of them. As surprising as it might be Jordan believed in being married before he did anything under the covers. For him he new if the girl was the right one by how they got along. Didn't care if they were innocent or experienced, preferred the personality. Isela was just a plus because she was beautiful and had an amazing personality.

With a deep laugh Jordan held onto her as he rested his chin on her shoulder. "I couldn't deny anything you magically conjured up would be delicious however I want to see what you can make without that magic of yours. I can help you if you desire. Been raised to cook without assistance." he chuckled wanting to see what she could make. Even though it would be incredibly interesting to see what she would magical appear he wanted to spend so more time with her. Which he though cooking would be perfect. "I suggest we get to work, two mouths to feed now turned to four." he gently pulled her farther into the kitchen curiously looking through the cabinets to see if there was food in them.

-------

"You made that rather difficult Miles... As I see. I've been through worse so why stop now?" Elvira gently placed her hand over his in a reassuring way before getting rather angry and her hand tightened around his. "That is what you would believe. They don't know how to take care themselves when it comes to traps humans make... It breaks that theory. Animals like this were the only ones that were there for me when I was alone but people killed them off without a thought..." she sighed shakily not liking to remember the thoughts of seeing her companions with arrows in there bodies or in a trap that caused them so much suffering. So without much of an argument she pulled herself up too prideful to take Miles hand.

Without realizing it Elvira got incredibly dizzy and grabbed a hold of his arm for support. "I'm sorry..." she once more muttered thinking she did incredibly wrong. It was a relief to her when the doe stood and she used the deer for support instead also checking its vitals. She moved towards the tent allowing Miles to follow practically running for fear of doing something wrong. "Get Isela please if you want to help!" she asked struggling a little the walking taking her weakened state even to a higher breaking point. She didn't need food she needed to rest and return her strength to its prime.

"I know how you feel. Elvira can be a bit unwilling to change sometimes too. I think eventually Miles will wear her down and she'll realize that witch hunters like you two really aren't horrible." Isela said turning her head a but to look at his head rested on her. She placed a hand over the one around her and grinned. "I'm glad we both agree on that subject. My mom made me believe that woman need to be married before it becoming a possibility. Afterall she wasn't and it left her without a husband or father."*

The cabinets were not full, but the fridge was. A few of the cabinets held things such as dishes and glasses, but only two had any type of food in them. Breakfast cereals and spices. Otherwise everything else could be found in the fridge. "Well.. I don't know what to make. What do you like? I'm sure I can find a recipe for that." For her a recipe included snapping her fingers and making it pop into her mind. "I have a few old cook books. We could always look in there." At that she got down on her hands and knees searching through the cabinets for the old cook book. As she pulled it out a cloud of dust formed around it causing her to sneeze. "This tent hasn't had much use, if you couldn't tell."*

------

"That is not what I believe. That is what I was taught. Do not dare tell me how wrong it is. You asked how we humans would deal with this and I told you the truth. I have never hunted an animal or set a trap. This is not my world. This is there world. What happens in it happens. I can't help what others do." Miles frowned slightly as she stood. He reached out and held her until she balanced herself before quickly pulling back. The reason he said anything was to point out that she shouldn't be hurting herself when the animal wasn't hurt because of her. Although somehow he had picked the wrong words.*

As they neared the tent Miles ran ahead and stepped inside. "Isela, please go help Elvira. She won't listen to me and I'm afraid she is going to hurt her self.*

----*
Isela looked up from the cook book and placed it in Jorden's hands. "I'll be back soon. Find something you like and we can start cooking once Elvira is cared for." Quickly she ran outside and to her friend's side. "What happened she asked putting an arm around her friend to support her.*

-------

Miles watched Isela leave before looking back to his friend. "Something is going on between you two.." He mumbled to himself, but probably loud enough for Jordan to hear. "This tent is huge. Have we gotten a map to show us where our room is? We are rooming together, right?" Miles had a funny feeling they weren't, which would make him a tad bit annoyed. "Can't she poof another room into here?"

At the tent Elvira was none to happy and before Miles departed she had one sentence left to share with him. "As you said that you can't help what others do, you can surly fix what they have done! Human, witch, ogre or other!" In all honestly Elvira did not care that Miles was a Hunter now that she knew there was no danger. It was the fact he was male. For a hidden reason she detested him and his little outburst got her to repulse his presence once more. "Nothing... Just help the doe." Elvira sighed still holding onto the deer as Isela tried to support her.

-------

Jordan looked at the old cookbook chuckling before getting surprised at what Miles was saying. "Take you time, there is no rush Isela. Take care of your friend." he smiled watching her go hoping that she could Elvira. Laughing even more at Miles and smiling at him. "And you seem to be destroying anything that could happen between you and Elvira." he retorted now using the little witches name, he fully accepted the two of them now and deemed them worthy of names, not nicknames.

"Quit your complaining and help me find something to eat. You'll be sharing a room with Elvira, you should be thanking me I got you separate beds. Honestly Miles... I can't believe you still haven't charmed her." The last line he said was close to an insult with a little concern. He did not like to think about what could happen to Miles or what Miles could do to the little witch. If only her adorableness spread to her personality. "I think you should at least get to know her. Deem that as your new job to accomplish. Make Elvira your friend so I can stop worrying I'm going to wake to you dead." This time he looked at his friend with a rather strict appearance. Now that Isela was at his side he was taking part in the relationship between the other too. He new how much Isela cared for her friend.

------

When the deer was finally taken care of did Elvira venture into the tent shuddering at the sight. For her the woods were her home and it had been years when she had been in a shelter like this. The years before he family learned she was a witch. All the while she kept silent about what was wrong. She didn't want to worry Isela. "I can tell you've hit off with the other hunter... Glad you could find someone that accepts you." she changed the subject to Isela slipping from her support pretending to act strong by walking on her own. She was capable of it though it took a lot out of her. Not supported by anyone Elvira went to find her bag, before the dizziness swimming through her head took affect.

-----

Hearing the girls enter again Jordan looked at Elvira before turning to Miles in confusion. The little witch looked like she could be carried off by a gentle breeze she was so frail. "I think she already is hurt Miles..." his voice was solemn before walking over to Isela. "Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked wanting to be of some assistance. He wanted both the girls to be happy, one seemed to be suffering silently. With a heavy sigh he looked to Isela. "I think it is your turn to talk to her. Don't worry Miles and I will make something to eat." He wanted everything to get better and if that meant a few hours away from Isela he was fine with that.

-----

Elvira stumbled into the bedroom using the last bit of magic she could physically handle to find it. Before she could get to the bed she just collapsed on the floor too tired to move another inch. Her limbs ached and her heart slowed. Placing her weary arms over her head that laid against the floor she let out a scream muffled by the ground. The ignorance around her slowly consuming her, she couldn't believe people deemed magic a worthy skill to have. "I'm sorry..." Was all she could say over and over again. Even though she trusted Isela with her life she still kept everything to herself it tormented her and at the moment she just wanted to feel her friends warm embrace.

Isela held up her friend and touched the deer. Slowly using her own magic to heal it. As she finished up, her hand pulled away. "There. Now she'll heal fully herself." Isela helped her friend Into the tent until she pulled away. It worried her when Elvira was like this. She never was that bad before. Today had taken a lot out of both of them. Well mostly out of Elvira. "Just cook something and bring it in so she can eat..." Of course that was the plan until she heard a rather loud thump on the ground. "Oh dear...." Isela ran into Elvira's room pulling Jordan behind her. "Help me put her on the bed please."*

After she was up on the bed Isela pushed him out of the room, kissing his cheek before he left. She went to Elvira's side and wrapped her arms around the small girl, pulling her close and gently rubbing her back. "Elvira, please relax. You're going to hurt yourself." Isela used on hand to fix the small witches hair again, combing her fingers through it. "You said something about Jordan before. Elvira, he's so sweet and wonderful. Even someone who wasn't a witch hunter wouldn't accept me. But be knows the truth and he's still here. It's so amazing." Pausing she glanced down at Elvira. "Are you giving Miles a chance to get to know you? He'd be good for you. As a friend. I know you don't trust men all to much, but he accepts that you're a witch."*

----

Miles repeated her last words over a few times in his head. "I'm trying Jordan!" He practically shouted back at his friend. "This isn't funny. I'm not trying to destroy anything. I'm being be. What do you want me to do? Lie?" Miles demanded pacing back and forth in though. "Would you just shut up. I don't care about your stupid little comments! Just because Isela likes you already doesn't mean Elvira would be the same way. She wouldn't like you anymore than she likes me. I haven't even done anything." This whole thing was causing Miles to be at a point where he could explode in seconds. Was there something wrong with him? Every other girl would die to have him. *

When the girls came in he stayed in the kitchen and looked through the cook book, then in the fridge to see what they had to work with. It was easy to spot chicken so that's what he grabbed. While waiting for Jordan to come back in he managed to find everything they needed for breaded chicken fingers, rice, and fresh fruit. That's what they would have for dinner. All of which were pretty easy to make. So even without his friends help he got the chicken fingers breaded and in the oven, and began to clean and cut some fruit. Isela must have magically stocked the fridge or something because everything was very new.*

------

As the meal cooked, Isela could smell it. She glanced at her friends and her own outfit. Quickly she snapped her fingers and had a wash cloth to clean the dirt off of Elvira's face and arms, before snapping them again so they both ended up in cotton pajamas as if by magic. She smiled and pulled away from Elvira, getting up to help tuck her friend under the covers and prop her up with the pillows. "You're going to eat, then I let you eat for the next eight million hours until you feel better , okay?" Sitting back down next to her friend she smiled, not sure what she would do without Elvira in her life. Most likely she'd be dead already.

----
Miles set Elvira's*meal up on a tray nicely and quickly carried it into her. Not really caring about what the other three were going to eat. He just wanted to make sure Elvira felt better. It also didn't hurt to be a little bit helpful, right? "I'm sorry if I upset you before. I get your point about helping the animals. You're right, and I shouldn't have of said anything so mean." Miles stated placing the tray down and walking out of the room.

Elvira's lip twitched into a disgusted look at the meant of Miles name before letting out a heavy sigh. "Acceptation or not. He isn't listening. I say something and he snaps at me which only makes me snap right back at him... Can't help that when I feel threatened I fight back." she spoke honestly wishing she wasn't like this. Seemed to ruin everything, especially the friendship she could have with Mile's or at least what it could develop into. With a methodical silence she let Isela fix her messy hair, "You can just leave it down... Will only loosen up again when I sleep."

------

Even with the lovely kiss on the cheek Jordan was still worried about Elvira, though after Mile's snapped at him he felt a little better. He kept from teasing his friend that he liked the little witch and kept the smile to himself. Instead he picked up where he left off in the cooking before speaking when he returned. "Miles darling, let me enlighten you on Miss Elvira. As I have learned from Isela, the last man who touched he met the fate of blowing up. If that doesn't tell you something I don't know how much clearer I can be. Other than Isela is frightened off you...." he spoke of what he knew thinking Mile's could get somewhere if he calmed down, softened his expressions and the hostility turned to gentleness.

Though he didn't know if Elvira went for the brutes or not. He would leave that for Isela to find out, he knew that Miles cared for the little witch. Seeing as he was now setting out three plates, cooking for three, and getting them food. "I hope you can get somewhere with her tonight.." this time there was concern in his voice. The two would be alone and he wanted nothing horrible happening. Wanted to enjoy the time he had with his sweetheart which meant mending their relationship.

-----

When he entered a rare emotion swam over Elvira, sheer nervousness. She still didn't know how he was going to react to what she said. She knew it was rude. Either way she moved closer to Isela practically hiding in the other witch. Not a word left her till he left, and that was merely a gasp. She had been holding her breath and now a nice pink tint shaded her pale cheeks. "Go eat Isela, please. I'll be fine I promise. You've done enough for me now. I love you like your my own family. Spend sometime with Jordan, be happy." Quickly she gave Isela a hug before poking at the food a little. At the moment her appetite barely existed but the food would be gone before they returned. No matter how hard she tried Elvira just couldn't keep from wasting it.

-----

Either way Jordan came to get Isela, only to smile at the two of them. "I hope you don't mind but I'll be taking Isela away to eat herself. Eat as much as you can. I'll finish the leftovers off for you." he spoke with a wink watching Elvira clam up and look at him with detest. He laughed before taking Isela's hand and lead her out of the room. "You have to eat too now. There are three of us, I think at least one of us can keep an eye on her." he spoke smiling back it trying to be helpful guiding her to her spot at the table. Being the gentleman he tried to be he pulled the chair out for her and catered to her needs before his own.

-----

In her room Elvira pushed the food around before grabbing some of the fruit. The one thing she wanted to eat off the plate. Feeling miserable and like a burden she weaved her fingers through her hair, a perfect mane of curls framing her face. Calming herself in her solitude she played with her hair finishing off the fruit, than regretted it. She never learned she should leave the best part for last. Laughing at herself she laid there staring at the ceiling, thinking of the only thing on her mind Miles. The apology left a deep impression on her and she was starting to prefer the angry him for it was safer.

“Elvira, he is what you would be were you a boy. Learn that, and accept it. The only reason I think he isn’t trying to tackle you to the floor when he snaps is simply because he is a boy and you are a lady.” Isela pulled her hand away from her friend’s hair and nodded, leaving it down for now was fine. She would brush it and fix it again in the morning. After all, that is what she did with her own hair. Nothing ever looked perfect after sleeping.

------------

“Isela is frightened of me? Okay…” Miles sighed slightly glaring at Jordan as he came back into the kitchen. “I really hate you Jordan.” He stated bluntly. “You don’t get it. Okay? I’m not kidding. I can figure this out on my own and I don’t need your stupid suggestions.” He obviously wasn’t happy with his friend’s comments. After all, he knew that Elvira could very easily kill him and was just as worried as Jordan. But for him, it seemed like something he should worry about. It was his own life, while Jordan was more or less just barging in on it. At least Miles was in the kind of mood where he felt that way.

-----------

Isela sighed softly and hugged her friend quickly before standing up with Jordan. “Apparently I’m eating myself.” She giggled softly. “So I’m thinking I won’t be back after dinner.” Elbowing Jordan she laughed at the way he had spoken. “If there’s anything else you need call for me okay?” She said to Elvira before they left. As they were walking out she squeezed his hand softly and smiled. “Ohh, you did cook dinner already! Yay!” Isela didn’t sit down when he pulled the chair out.

Pushing him a bit she forced him to sit down on the chair. “I’ll get everything.” She liked that he was being so kind, but she was fine with setting the table and pouring the drinks. He had done the hard part. Well, and she was a witch so everything else literally took a snap of her fingers. “Miles sit and eat with us.” She stated softly as everything began to move. She had whispered something and glasses filled with water seemed to fly to the table, place mats and silver wear did as well. With a grin she followed behind setting the plates down In front of each person before taking her own seat. “Lovely lovely lovely. I’m sure once Elvira’s feeling better she’ll eat with us.”

------------

Miles ate and finished his meal quickly and silently, cleaning up after himself and excusing himself from the table. Searching around the tent he found an old book, picking it up in his hands and walking back to Elvira’s and his own room. “I hope you don’t mind me sitting in here. You don't have to talk to me. I just want someplace to sit and read.” Miles bit his lip, he was going to read. That was almost as abnormal as him being nice. There was definitely something about being around Elvira and Isela that was messing him up.

-----------

“Well he was talkative.” Isela stated sarcastically after Miles left the table. “Why is he upset? Should I be worried about him or something?” She didn’t want him to freak Elvira out, she already seemed to dislike him enough. “He’s not related to you, right?” The last question was more of a joke than an actually question, but she kind of did want to know. If he was she would wonder how Jordan was so different.
