Sex changes are... Well, with a sex change you officially, legally become female or male. Though there is no succesful operation from female to male. Third gender is something else.

Hermaphrodites are nature's third gender. There is a lot more that people invented for themselves.

Lavender's best friend went through 3 gender, sexuality and identity changes... I know all about this.
