I slept for 13 hours last night, almost completely uninterrupted (I woke up once to go pee and fell right back asleep).
And I had some VERY VERY VERY strange dreams. I'm a little confused.
----------
So, I just read the Top Ten "Can't Stands" for Men and the Top Ten "Can't Stands" for Women articles on eHarmony. They were almost completely identical. Sometimes I think Tamora Pierce got it right: "People are people, after all."

I'm sorry that the phone conversation got so heavy, my relationship with Alendra is too complex and emotionally charged for it's own good.

Agreed. I find that, personally, my relationship with her is at its best when I only see her/talk to her once or twice a week. Idk... :(

In lighter news, do you like my avi so far? There's a scepter I want REALLY badly, but it's 1500 gold, so I'm gonna be saving up for a while.

SO MUCH CLOSER.

...I can't really think of anything else to say. I think I'm gonna go to bed, but not really right now. I'm sort of in the middle of writing...ick.
I feel discontent again.
----------
And I can't get these shoes to equip to save my life. I think I might be equip-retarded. Ugh.
----------
And sometimes, when I'm bored, I'll post on here, even though I don't have a whole lot to say, just because I want more gold. Damn, greed. Eek.
----------
So, I wish I could remember more of my dream last night, but since I've gone all day without thinking about it, lots of the detail has gone blurry.
I do remember that the romantic interest in the plot had blond hair, and was no one who had any real-life counterpart.
----------
Come to think of it, he may even have been meant to represent Peeta. Which kind of bothers me, because Peeta bothers me.
I think most of my issue with Peeta is that he held on to a stupid crush for how many years (like, 6?) and even after so much evidence showing he didn't stand a chance, still held on to hope?
----------
And on top of that, in the end, he got the girl. And that doesn't happen. At least not if the genders are reversed and it's a girl hopelessly pining after a guy.
That was another point addressed at the end of The Gift of Fear, that for men to be persistent is considered romantic and admirable, whereas if a woman holds onto hope or pursues to fervently, she's looked at as mentally unstable.
----------
Has anyone ever told you a story of something that happened while you were sleeping and you had to take their word for what happened, cause you were asleep? And has that ever happened and then you also didn't really want to believe what they said? Or you think there's something they're withholding?
----------
Oh, wait, that's right, you aren't actually going to be answering that for a while...my b.
----------
THE SHAME
----------
Here's a funny story I never told you:
I was at work one day during Thanksgiving break this past year and it was the end of my shift and Joel (the guy I used to close with, in case you've forgotten, which I doubt, but better safe than sorry) had come in. I was standing out back and I had to pull my pants up because they had a nasty habit of falling down and I said, "I wish my pants would stay up!"
And quiet, mild-mannered, demure Joel, without skipping a beat, says, "Well that makes one of us."
It was, by far, the funniest thing he EVER said, and he's said some funny things.
I busted a gut and my mom demanded that I tell her what was so funny. I was surprised when she didn't fire him.

Okay I'm going to bed now. That duty was, for most of it, very boring and filled with - berg. Then the end was very LKNDFLSKNFLSKNF so. Yes. I am worn out a bit.
I feel like you're dislike of Peeta stems from the amount the two of you have in common. The people that I can't stand are those that are most like myself - those in which I can so easily spot their flaws. Thoughts?
LOL.

Oh, I completely agree. You only see the faults in other people that you are insecure about in yourself (generally speaking).
For instance, I don't really see Gale pride as a real issue because I don't share that pride. But I can see myself a hundred times over in Peeta's attachment to Katniss.
It's like that in real life too. Like, I really couldn't stand Sammy (last bench partner) because she was me without the edge (albeit slight and dull). The more I got to know her and the more things were different about her, the more I could stand her. I still never outright liked her, but she became bearable.
----------
I'm writing you a letter. I think you'll really like the envelope, even if its contents are less-than-captivating.

That is sincerely inconvenient. I wish I could help you, because I have all sorts of time on my hands... :(
----------
So, I've been putting off doing my manual for like, 3 hours now. I think I caught your un-motivation from last night.
----------
And I have "I Think I Wanna Marry You" stuck in my head. Which, regardless of being a decent piece of music, is socially sending a message that it's okay to get drunk and indulge a passing whim to marry someone. No good, Bruno Mars, no good.
----------
I just used the phrase "the odds were not in her favor" and thought of The Hunger Games.
Which I will forever associate with you, just so you know. :)

I associate a lot of things with you, but not EVERYTHING. That wouldn't be good for our friendship...
Emma = car jackers
Emma = highwaymen
Emma = people who steal candy from babies
Emma = idiots
Emma = bigots
...I could go on but I think you get the idea.
----------
I just tried to type "face value" and typed "facebook" instead. Fail.
----------
Car jackers --> tracker jackers --> The Hunger Games --> Emma.

Also, I feel that I should tell you that "double posting" which is what you've done when that double dashed line appears and the post gets bigger .... it's not allowed, and to the extent you're doing it, it's something a mod might PM you about or something.
You might want to go back and edit your post rather than double posting. Just suggesting! No harshness.

1. I think I'm going to watch that commercial whenever I'm down from now on. So inspiring.
2. I don't know why they don't like it either, someone had to tell me. Instead of just posting again if you have something to add just go back to your last post and at the bottom right there's an eraser "edit" button. click it and add to the post - you'll still get the gold that way too.
3. Mmm , I really like this avi too, I really want to buy the 'bloody teddy bear' to finish it off but I don't have enough g.

Mmmm, see I think you should take on an enterprise, something that would keep you focused, determined, engaged, some kind of endeavor that never again in your life will you have time to take on.
Hmmm, like, writing a book or learning a language, I'm serious, I think that would really help.

I absolutely agree with you. 100%. I think that I'm going to start working on my piping regularly at home. It's something that is challenging and only gets better with practice.
Another example of stingy people being overly generous to me: Chef Scannell, who never does or says anything nice to anyone, gave me a stippling knife (razor blade specially made for scoring bread) for no apparent reason except that I didn't have one. I had no idea what to make of it...
Also, where mah gold at?
