I like saying "boop" and then proclaiming "I'm a robot."

I'm not even joking, I do that...

Haha. As long as other people are saying boop, I'm ok with what follows.

Try adding "beep bop" to your repertoire.

*chews on Cherry's hair*

I was so excited for this. I wanted to decorate my post, update, check out and give feedback on everyone else's music. It was going to be fantastical... Now I've used what few brain cells were still firing for the explanation. *more drooling and mindless chewing on Cherry's hair*

New brain is on back order until post V-day. I will be several days late for the partay. <//3

I ordered a brain from eBay.

It turned out to be a Cambodian knockoff. And it was dented.

... Tasted alright, I guess.

Speaking of brains...I went to see the bodies revealed exhibit down in downtown Grand Rapids. Absolutely bizarre. I saw all sorts of real preserved body parts.

BODIES REVEALED

If anyone is interested. :)

Not for the squeamish...

I can be kinda squeamish sometimes, but I'm fine with this. It's an interesting view of the human form. :)

@Izumi ~ Is that the same thing as the Body Worlds exhibit?

Cause i've been to that. It's freaky at first, but wholly fascinating.

They're actually in town again. I think. I wanted to go, but don't really have the funds. D:

They had one of those types of things at the Saint Louis Science Center a few years back, and I regret that I wasn't able to go... It's a little freaky, but it doesn't bother me too much. Honestly, it would bother me more if it was animals...

My priorities = awesome.

Well...what I kind of would like to know is the back story to the cadavers. I'm curious what they died of, what kind of lifestyle they lived, and why they chose to do this in the first place.

My husband goes to me during the middle of the visit "This is so cool, it's making ME want to sign up!"

My immediate reaction was "Deaaar....I don't want to talk about you dying."

I think knowing those details would take it from "interesting" back to "sad, gross, and squeamy" for me. Although I can definitely understand wondering those things.

I think I've still got the article around here somewhere about the controversy when it came through Seattle, the first time.

Yeah, some people say it's wrong. Some throw Jesus into the mix and blah, blah, blah.

Some say they're grave robbers, while they state their specimens come from people who donate their bodies.

...

The one part of the exhibit that's sticks out in my mind is the Exploded Man.

He's huge. As you can see, his various body parts are separated and suspended on wires.

Pretty cool.

Oh wow, that was literally an eye-opener for me. I haven't been up long since my nap and that instantly made me go . That's a pretty genius design.

Well, the Seattle controversy was because the bodies where Chinese, and it wasn't readily evident where they were obtained. The concern was that they were executed political prisoners.

Ahh I can see where there would be concern with that. ^^; A lot of art tends to be controversial, though. Some artists want people to be shocked and appalled sometimes, but perhaps they're really searching for the fellow weirdos who take a second look and appreciate. I'm talking generally, though, and not so much about what Biggs mentioned. :P

@Biggles ~ Oh yeah. I've heard that rumor kicked around.

@Demo ~ I think it's supposed to be more considered educational than artistic. But I do think that's definitely an art form.

*wants to go the new exhibit even more now* D:

You'll have to forgive me. Ever since I took my figure drawing classes, I tend to see the art to just about anything.

Forgive?! NEVAH!

Pistols at dawn! PEW! PEW!

... Wait, dawn's far too early.

*checks schedule* I could pencil you in on the 15th at 6:45 PM. Oh but then i'd have to leave my macrame class early.

... Um... let's just forget the whole thing.

You need a secretary, Howdy.

Also, this thread is so off topic. I need to think of a new song to feature. In the meantime, here's a song that I already had featured. An absolutely beautiful acoustic version of a song you're probably familiar with.

@Cherry: Yes it has, but that's the cool thing about Hangout threads. They're allowed to go off topic. Huhuhu >u> <u< <u>
