Warm stagnant air helps, yeah. Usually, you'd tie them to some rafters and hang them upside down. But if you have a room like that, just put theme fresh cut in some water and never change that water, just let it evaporate. That usually works for me.

I can't think of many things of the top of my head that I've dried like that... a few flowers from special occasions, I guess. Those tend to be roses.

Roses are very hard to dry, yes. Probably best to try and press them between the leaves of a good book.

Yep, the easiest way to to find yourself a Bible. Stick the rose right in the center and wedge it back on your bookshelf. I know that my family has flowers in all of our Bibles at this point. It's a pretty pleasant discovery whenever you open one up.

The only things I ever discover when I open books are receipts, scraps of paper, or the worst: unidentified dried crusty thing. Such are the dangers of buying books used.
