" Well they did very well, yet for Flash it was no contest. Before we make any real decisions we should wait to how they do on the next test. " Raven said softly. She looked over at the them, then back at her two team mates. " Run to run they next test?" Raven asked them.

((Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by the last question.))

"Oh, I agree. I want to see how they all fare in all the tests. I do want to point out the fact that while Kid Flash did get there the fastest he also was the only one that fell or was injured in any way. It should have been easy for him but he was over confident." Nightwing looked back over the group. "Arrowette, Kid Flash, and Argent your the first up. We will be down shortly." Turning back to the other two, "Ready?"

Beast Boy nodded and started the walk down.

[[ I meant ready to run]]

Raven mused about it. Having someone like that might not be best for their team, yet she didn't think it would happen often with him. "Yes, I am. Do you have the devices?" She asked.

[[ When will Jericho go crazy?]]

((I'm thinking he will start this round and completly flip out the next round when he is put on our team. How does that sound?))

Nightwing leaned down as he walked down off the platform grabbing a briefcase laying near the stairs. "Sure do. I reformated and redesigned the ones I worked on to make your's." He reached the ground and popped the briefcase open and pulled out a bunch of braclets. "Ok, these will cancel out your powers while you wear them. Take them off and your out. They shouldn't break as they are made of extremely sturdy materials." He handed them out, skipping over Arrowette, then turned and gave one to Beast Boy and Raven. "Only fair that you guys don't have powers either. Me and Arrowette have no powers to speak of so I didn't bring one for us."

Beast Boy slipped his on. It was snug but did not bother him. He waved his arm around but it stayed on. He tried shifting but nothing happened. He smiled at Nightwing and gave him the thumbs up.

[[ Sounds prefect]]

Raven went over to talk to Elizabeth real quick. She reminded her to stay away from the main battle ground. She also told her not to worry or freak out if she saw either of her parents get attacked. That it was all a safe test. She then made her way to the ground where the others were standing. Raven nodded and took the device and strapped it onto her arm.

Nightwing waited till everyone had put on the device. "Ok, this will be a general fight. Remember to work together. The people on our team need to remember that Raven is the leader and that I'm next in comand. Because no one else brought weapons and this is a powerless battle Arrowette and myself will lay down our weapons." He had already taken off all of this stuff.

"Ok, go." As soon as the word had left his mouth he had dove to the side.

Raven and Argent moved off to the side. While Jinx, Miss Martian decide how to best attack the others. Raven looked around trying to come up with the best game plan.

[[ So, shall we fast forward through this, just give the high lights?]]

((that's what I was thinking, really I just wanted to get Jericho's freaking out in this part))

The fighting soon broke out. Nightwing, Arrowette, and Gypsy did the best as they had the best hand to hand training. Raven, Beast Boy, Kid Flash, Zatanna, and Jinx all did well. Miss Martian and Argent did well enough that they were not captured or knocked out but not well enough to really help others.

Nightwing was keeping an eye on everyone watching how they were doing. He noticed after awhile something weird. Jericho would go no where near Raven. And considering that their team was staying close together he really didn't ingage in the fight. If someone broke off from the team he would fight but only then. And he never looked at Raven.

Jericho was having a hard time paying attention. Everytime he looked or was near Raven his head started pounding. So he stayed back trying to keep distance between them. The pain was getting worse and there felt like there was a building rage within him.

Raven had noticed Jericho's odd behavior. She didn't recall him acting like this last time. It concerned her a bit. Yet she didn't address it. She decided it was nothing to worry about and glanced back at the new team for this round. It was Jinx, Jericho and Zantanna on their side for this round. " Ready?" She asked.

[[ Yay, and I hope those three on the team was fine]]

((yep, their fine. I just wanted Jericho in this round. I hope my explenation of the fights are alright.))

Everyone nodded. Nightwing shouted "Go!" and everything started again. At first things were going the same as before but then things changed.

Jericho was having problems being so close to Raven. He tried to distance himself but everytime he did he was called back or pushed back by the other team. His head was killing him. Suddenly he lost his balance and fell grazing against Raven. The brief contact sent a jab of red through his head. He threw himself away from her landing heavily on his shoulder and side. He hastily stood up backing away from everyone. "Stay away from me!"

Nightwing froze. What was going on?

[[ That's fine. He just talked..O_O]]

Everything was going fine, expect Jericho seemed to keep a good distance from Raven. She didn't understand that at all. How could he be an asset to the team if he kept avoiding being around her at all. That wouldn't work for them at all. Suddenly Raven felt him brush lightly against her, before he threw his self away from her. She stared in confusion, which quickly turned to shock. Dick had told her he was mute, and now he was yelling at them. " What?" Raven asked.

The others all stepped away from Jericho. Had he just spoken?

Jericho's head was hurting more and more by the moment. And it was making him angry. He needed to let the anger out. He stepped forward quickly and punched out at Raven. He connected with something then without seeing what he hit he turned and ran away from the group.

When Jericho had started to punch Nightwing had stepped forward inbetween Raven and Jericho. He blocked the punch so that it deflected most of the power. He watched as he ran off. "When he shouted, he didn't move his lips. It was in our minds. But even if he had that power it should have been blocked by the braclet. What happened?"

[[[ It's alright, I thought it was gonna be a plot twist.]]]

Raven was unsure what to do. Suddenly Jericho was moving to punch her. She expected a hit to come, but suddenly Dick was standing in front of her. " I'm...I'm not sure. Though I have a feeling it has something to do with being near me. Though it doesn't make sense. " Raven said. She didn't understand it, it was all so confusing, he had never been in her mind or at the mercy of her powers, so there was no reason for his reaction.

The others were watching all rather unsure what to do their self, and little Elizabeth who was watching from up high had no idea why almost everyone was just standing there.

((no, I'm just a moron lol))

Nightwing finally shrugged. "Maybe his powers are evolving? And while I hate to admit it the braclet might have been faulty. I was only able to test a handful of them. I thought they were all good but since I have no powers I wasn't able to test them throughly."

He stared off where Jericho had disappeared then turned back to the group. "Well, it looks like the competition is down by one. We should start this round over. We'll just keep the two on this team for now."

" Next time you need to test something like that, ask me" Raven told him. She glanced over at the way one more time. She wasn't sure that was the end of things. Though she hoped it was. She looked back to everyone else. " Alright, is everyone ready to restart the round then?" She asked.

Nightwing sighed, "I really didn't have time. Most of these were made last night but I will next time."

Everyone nodded and the fight started up again. It ended much the same as the first round. Once again their team was not captured and the fighters all fared the same in the fight as before.

The next round started and went the same as the first two.

"Ok, everyone take a break. Raven, Beast Boy lets talk over here." He led them over to where Elizabeth had been watching. He sat down next to her. "So what does everyone think after that fun?"

Raven followed after him. She mused over everyone still there. " Well they are all very good choices. What are your guys thoughts?" Raven asked. She pretty much was thinking of having both Flash and Jinx join, if the other two were ok with that. Jinx was once lived in the city, and knew it well, plus she knew things about the shady part, and would be a great help to the team. Though picking a third person she liked would be hard.

"Really I like Jinx the most. She does good enough at hand to hand, her powers would fit with us, she knows the town, and we have seen her darker side. Even if she did go bad again, which I doubt, we know what to expect. If we take Jinx we will have to take Kid Flash though. But I like KF too. His only problem is he gets cocky but he only makes a mistake once. I don't know about the last person though. I like Arrowette but I think she would be better on a different team as me and her are so similar. For me it is tied between Argent and Miss Martian. Gypsy and Zatanna are both older then us and might feel that fighting under us isn't the best solution."

"I like KF and Jinx too. Though we need a cute girl for me." He wagged his eyebrows and smiled.

Raven listened over what they both had to say. She rolled her eyes at Beastboy's comment about a cute girl for his self. " Well I agree, I'd prefer Jinx on the team, and as long as we keep an closer eye on Flash's cocky attitude he'd work too. I'm not sure who'd I'd pick between Argent or Miss Martain, but I think Arrowette would do better on a different time, consider you and her fight in the same kind of way. " Raven said.

"I agree. Though I would like to say that I think Arrowette would be a good addition to the team. She seems very hard working. I just think she would be able to help another team more. Should we still do the last test with everyone or just the people we are thinking about keeping?"

" I think we should do it with everyone. You never know who might surprise us in the end." Raven told him. She wanted to give everyone a fair shot.

((as we don't have many colors I'm just going to use one color for all of them))

"Your right Raven." Nightwing stood up and yelled down at the gathered heroes. "It is time for the next test. Please take off the braclets and put them in the brief case. This is individual tests based on your powers. We will explain your test when it is your turn. This is the order; Kid Flash, Zatanna, Gypsy, Arrowette, Miss Martian, Jinx, and Argent. Kid Flash your up. We hide these," Nightwing held up a stuffed blue bat, "in the common areas in the Tower and all over town. They are red, blue, pink, green, purple, and black. You are to find all 100 of them and bring them back here, unbroken. And start... now."

KF speed off as soon as he heard now. We ran through town first collecting them then back to the tower. Two and a half minutes after Nightwing spoke now the speedster was back in the same spot with stuffed bats piled around him. He had to slow down slightly not to destroy the bats but he still thought he did good.

"Ok, looks like you got them all. We will evaluate everyone at the end. So Zatanna is next. We had some trouble coming up with and idea for you so would you care to put on a short magic show for us?"

Zatanna came forward. "Tah raeppa." A top hat appeared in her hand. She did a bow to the group. She reached a hand into the hat. "Tibbar emoc." She pulled a rabbit out of the hat then placed it back into the hat. "Tibbar raeppasid. Sdrac ylf." Playing cards flew out of the hat and around her before going back into the hat. Zatanna did another bow before putting her hat on.

"Next Gypsy please get that ball over there and bring it up here and place it next to me without any of us seeing you."

Gypsy cast an illusion to make herself invisable got the ball then brought it too him.

"Arrowette you are to shoot these targets." He pressed a button and a row of targets popped up all over the field, some moving and others still.

Arrowette raised her bow and hit every target dead center.

((if you couldn't tell I was getting tired of typing by the end lol))

Raven nodded, she took her bracelet off. She watched them start their final test. So far the people who had tested show much promise. It was really going to be hard to choose between someone. Though she was wondering if there was much more to Zatanna's powers than what she showed them. It did remind her a bit of Mumbo's way of magic. " Alright Miss Martian your next" Raven said.




Miss Martain walked up, looking to them for her test.

[[ What was her test again?]]

"Miss Martian would you please fly to the roof of the tower. There is a flag up there. We want you to bring it back to us as the person I'm thinking of. You have permission to read my surface thought." Nightwing started thinking Superman. He just repeated it over and over bringing up a picture of Superman in his mind.

She nodded, and focused on reading his mind for the thought of who she should be. She then flew up the roof of the tower and grabbed the flag. She shifted into Superman, and flew back down to the rest of them. She held out the flag to them.

Raven was keeping a watchful eye. Having a shape shifter would be nice addition for the team, though it could be problematic also.
