Things for the last few months had been going well. Raven and her team were working smoothly together. Elizabeth was learning many things, doing well and getting alone with everyone. Even Nightwing was still there, which of course was something Raven was glad about, even though she would never say so. Yet when she heard the new about Jericho it troubled her. He had lost it after being near her, and it really made her wondered why.

" Well there haven't been any signs of him near the city since he last left" Raven said. She walked over to the computer to run a scan of a city to double check.

Nightwing nodded. He had watched for Jericho thinking that he had been acting weird. He had managed to track him back to his home and then nothing. He had left a few times but never for long. He had started to worry because of his weird actions and because of his powers.

Raven got up from the computer. " Computer has found nothing." Raven said. She mused for a few moments," Maybe a few of us should go into town and try to see if he's been around." Raven said. She had a feeling he could be near by and computers weren't always fool proof.

Nightwing thought about it for a moment then nodded. "Maybe just me and Raven should go. That way if something comes up that will leave two people to take care of it and one for Elizabeth. What do you think?"

" That sounds like a good idea." Raven said. That way everything should be safe. That would also mean Beast Boy would be in charge at the tower until the returned. She looked around, glad that he was in the room. That meant they wouldn't have to go find him in order to tell him their plans. " Alright, well should we head out then?" He asked.

Beast Boy was fine with this arrangement. He had grown really fond of the girl. If something came up he would stay with her and the other three would go out and take care of it.

"Yeah, let's go." He had thought about wearing civies, something he didn't get to do much, but decided just to go as he was. He walked out of the tower with Raven.

Raven nodded, and followed after Dick. " Alright how should we head towards town? Do you want to ride your bike, while I fly?" Raven asked him. Walking would be a bit of a hassle.

"That sounds fine. Here," he handed her a mike. "So that we can talk. It should cancel out any sound the air makes." He had put his in his helmet. He went and got his bike bringing it out. I think we should start with the outskirts of town first. I don't think he'll be in the busy parts."

" Alright" Raven said. She took the mike, and put it on. " Yeah that sounds perfectly fine." Raven said. She made her way to the outskirts of town.

Nightwing rode to the outskirts with Raven flying above him. He really doubted they would find him here. He stopped his bike and they looked around. Finally, after finding nothing, he turned to Raven. "Maybe we should check out the volcano cave?"

Raven was getting a bit annoyed at the lack of leads. She nodded," Alright, it's worth a shot." She said. Though she as sure he wasn't going to be there. She didn't really think anyone would be there.

Nightwing drove to the cave where one of their own had fallen. Really he didn't expect anything but he liked to go out there to check on the place ever so often and figured they might as well. He waited for Raven to land and when she had they walked inside. As soon as he stepped inside he knew something was different. The place had been covered in black and the only thing that could be seen was Terra and sitting in front of her was Slade's symbol.

Raven looked around. This place inside looked so different. It wasn't like this the last time they had been here. " What? Why is this place looking so different." Raven said. She looked around trying to find some sign as to why.

Nightwing walked inside making his way to Terra. He bent over to look at the device. He didn't see anything wrong with it and picked it up. He brought it over to Raven.

" What a strange thing" Raven said. She took the device and gave it a look over. She couldn't tell what it was. " Nightwing, any idea?" Raven asked referring to the device.

Nightwing took it back from her and started messing with it. Finally the round device popped open and showed a screen. Slade's picture came on saying "Death will come for one and I shall come back." Nightwing looked down as it started repeating. He remembered this man well and knew that he had never been found. So he was coming back but what did it mean about someone dying? He looked at Raven.

Raven had no idea what Slade was talking about. Though it made her worry for her daugther, Nightwing and her friends. " This isn't good." Raven said. Slade was their toughest enemy ever and any chance of him coming back was deadly.

"Well that can't be good but it isn't the reason why we're here. He closed the device and put it in his bag. He wanted to look at it more closely later. He walked back to Terra and walked around her. Behind her on the ground he found something else. It was Jericho's purple vest and it had blood on it. He picked it up and walked back to show Raven.

Raven eyes went wide when she saw the vest. " Oh god, you don't think Slade was referring to Jericho?" Raven asked. This wasn't a good thing at all. She glanced around the room, looking for any other sign or trace.

"I don't know but it is looking that way. Slade wouldn't have left this if he didn't want us at least thinking that. We need to call the League. It might already be too late for Jericho." He had looked around enough and he was worried. The blood on Jericho's vest looked like it had been splashed on the front and there were no holes in it. So unless someone had stabbed or shot him without his vest on then put it on then took it off it wasn't his blood. He need to find out if any other heroes were missing or hurt.

" Yes, that might be so. Your are correct, let's contact they League. " Raven said. She figured that they would be able to learn more that way. It would also be best to get back, and try to figure out who's blood this was.

Nightwing left the cave and got back on his bike. He didn't want to make the call here. It would be best to do it from the tower. He drove quickly to the tower. As soon as he got back he called Batman. "We didn't find Jericho but we did find some unsettiling things." He showed Bats the device and let it play for him then showed him the vest. "There are no holes in the vest and it appears the blood isn't Jericho's. We found these in the cave. Someone, probably Slade, has been in there and painted everything black and left these."

Batman nodded. "I'll tell the others. Go ahead and test the stuff but we'll send Flash out to collect them later." He hung up and left to talk to the league.

Dick sat at the desk for a moment trying to think of the next move.

" Alright, let me see the vest. We should get some samples of this blood. We can send a sample to the league and they can run test on it, while we do our own" Raven told him. It would be best to figure out who's this was right away.

Dick handed the vest to Raven. While she ran that test he went and told the others what had happend. Then he went to his room. He started testing the device. It wasn't transmiting so Slade was not testing it and he found no signals coming to it. He finally determined that it was just a recording. So there would be no repeat of the mask problem.

Raven took the vest and then took it to where she could test it. After she had done that, she was now waiting for the computer to try and find a DNA match to that blood. She hoped that it wouldn't take long to figure out who's blood was on the vest.
