Jokes on you. This duck just happens to be wearing x-ray vision goggles. However, I'm much more interested in what is going on in this particularly hard nutshell than your nakedness.

I haven't seen that show in forever. I have an incomplete list of shows that I need to watch and I'm only beginning to scratch the surface.

I got the box set for Christmas.... Swwwweet.
Yeah, I have some things that I need to digest as well. Not just telly. Actually, not much telly at all.

I'm missing out on several years of pop culture because I buried myself in work while I was in school, so its likely that by the time I'm done with all the shows I missed out on I will be behind on quite many more.
Books as well. Very behind on books. Still trying to read Orson Scott Card's work (very dense, and in later books starting to get a bit preachy). But I'm also working on a large amount of projects of my own....

Books are the main culprit. And some films.
I'm the same way when I am in school. Blinders on.

Heya all!
Ditto here. What really doesn't help is the fact that I really don't give a flying rat's ass about pop culture anyway. Anime, fantasy and sci-fi are soooo much better than reality TV.

Um... hate to break it to you, Taiyo, but anime, fantasy, and sci-fi are subsets of pop culture. o_o
Well, guys, I quit my job and now I'm packing for Montana. This question comes up a lot: "Is this mine... or yours?"

Oh, quit? I'm glad you are out of such a mind-numbing situation, but I wish you were getting that unemployment from them.

Getting unemployment seems like a smart idea when you don't have a plan, but I'm going to be in Montana in a month. By the time my request for unemployment goes through, I'll be in another state and probably have some kind of job. And in the course of finding another job, it helps to be on good terms with your previous employers so that you can count on them as a reference. In the grand scheme of things, going out on a positive note is more beneficial to me than burning my bridges.

@ Hyena: They're still better than a lot of the reality TV junk. Ick.
As for the big move: Kudos! I hope you actually have a better time of it in Montana than here in the stinky Midwest.

I think you are right about the "positive note", it's healthier all around, but especially for you.

I prefer Dancing with the Stars. I don't even watch it for the stars...just the dancing. Though it would be rather funny if I became a famous enough author to be on the show!

I like "So You Think You Can Dance" better. All of the people can actually dance for the most part.

I'm not sure they put authors on that sort of thing... I could be wrong though! Personally, i want to get on Wait, Wait! Don't Tell Me!

@ Waifey: I've listened to that on NPR before. As for authors on Dancing with the Stars...I'm not sure to be honest.
@ vgrace: I just prefer the ballroom dancing.

I love ballroom dancing, but I like other forms too. I would like to learn to foxtrot someday.

The foxtrot is so hard... Its like they took the charleston and multiplied it times five.
I prefer So You Think You Can Dance. The choreographers are more to my taste and there's inevitably one dance that brings everyone to tears.
I'm a big fan of interpretive/modern as an audience member. I loved it when they introduced Bollywood into the mix, though since my training is in middle eastern dance. <3
Oh god. o_O

I don't watch the reality telly. I prefer stuff on the honest end of the scripted spectrum
