"You don't get it!" Victoria shouted louder. "My mother is not a Human. She's a Sorceress. A mighty witch with powers beyond belief." Victoria, walked up to Lance, and grabbed him by the collar. "Witches, and humans are different. Don't bring her down to human level." Victoria let go of him, "You wouldn't understand. You're not the so called scum of the world. Bothersome this potion. Bothersome." Victoria sighed, as she sat down on the ground. "But, maybe it is supposed to be this way. Dragon's, witches killing humans. Did you know we have to feed off the darkness of this world? That's the only think the world shares with us. It's how we survive."

Suddenly, screaming was heard outside the cell. "I smell blood...I smell...Smoke. Looks like my crew is here."

Lance's eyes grew large when Victoria started shouting then grabbed him. This was a very upsetting turn of events. When she let him go he shifted back so that he was leaning against the wall. He cracked a smile though at her high-ish words of him. "I'm so glad you think kindly of me." He thought for a moment. "There will always be darkness in the world. You don't need to add to it."

He ran to the cell door and pounded on it. "Is there anyone out there? Let us out. I wish to help you." He turned to look at Victoria. "You better hope it is your crew. It might be those people they had planned to turn you over to. It would be much easier for them just to kill everyone and keep the gold." He turned and started pounding on the door again. "I hope your crew isn't killing everyone if it is them."

"You forget your place again Princey." Victoria sighed, as she walked over to the door. "I know the smell of my crew. Probably because they never take a bath." She smiled. "Well I hope they kill them all." She started laughing. "Listen Princey, I've been thinking. I just don't know if your worth anything anymore. So watch your words, or I'll kill you on the spot, Okay?" She grinned.

Victoria kept her nose high in the air. It looked like she was being stuck-up. But she was actually trying to smell what was outside. She was part dragon of course, so she had some good sense of smell. "Since I already went this far, you want to know whats under my eye patch? You know, just to let time pass." She asked.

Lance looked down. He was almost tired of this life. He still had a slight hope that things would get better, that he would become kind and rule justly, or at least live happily with someone he loved. "Your crew certainly could stand to bathe more often." He held his next words but barely. Instead he turned to her "Fine, you seem to be offering and I doubt I'll get another chance." With this comment he felt like wagging his eyebrow, and normaly would have, but he no longer could summon the energy.

"I'm half sorceress you know. But what you don't know is what makes Sorceresses very different from Humans is that their stare can kill. Literally. So they use potions so they don't kill their clients." Victoria touched her eye patch. "So if I take this off right now, and I look into your eyes. You'll die." She grinned. "That's what I mean when I say I don't need weapons. That's what I mean when I say that I'll kill you on the spot." She started to laugh. "So when I'm a dragon again, I'll be more deadly then you can ever imagine. I just can't figure out who'll I'll get first." She smiled.
"Wait--" Victoria started to breath in the air. "Its not only my crew who's here."

"Sounds pleasent. I'm glad to see you haven't decided to show me the eye yet then. If that is true then why didn't you let me have a weapon before? You could easily kill me before I hurt you." Lance turned to the door. "Can you tell who they are? Are there still any commoners in this building?"

( Np, sorry It took a while, I was just thinking of how to reply because I had writers block >.> )

"The commoners that where once in this building are no more. I can smell their blood. These new people who are coming into the picture...Most likely bounty hunters that the Villagers hired. I can tell my crew is having a hard time with them since they have not arrived here yet." Victoria sighed. "Why don't we join in on the fun, Eh princey?" Victoria kicked the door, down with ease. "Let's see what they're up to. But your free to stay here if you please." She held out her hand for him to take.

( ...Am I godmodding? o_o I mean she isn't fully human so she has some of her strength... )

Lance's heart dropped at the news about the commoners. When she offered her hand to him after kicking the door down he felt like he had to take it. She was already out maning him. He walked out of the door as soon as he took it though. He was going to find a weapon. He was tired of not having a way to fight.

At this point Victoria really didn't care about him. He knew what she was right? He wasn't going to attack her because he knew what she was capital of...Right? She glanced over at him. And then she thought because he knew what she was, he'd be more willing to attack her. I mean, he didn't have the truth potion back there so he could easily be lying when he said he didn't want her dead. But, she knew it wasn't a lie. She just didn't want to admit it. "Hehe, this is a splendid walk isn't it?" She laughed, as she saw a dead body. Victoria was actually limping a bit, still sore from the beatings the villagers gave her. "But enough fun. It's time for us to be stealthy." She crouched down.

Lance knelt beside the body. It was a young man. It looked like he was a herder since he had a staff and wore a cloak of the type of herders of this region. Lance covered the man's eyes and closed them. He dug in the man's pockets and pulled out two coins and placed them on the man's eyes. Lance wiped his hand on his pants then picked up the staff and stood. He would have prefered a sword but he wasn't likely to find one. He looked at Victoria and noticed that she seemed to be having some trouble. He nodded when she spoke. He got closer to the wall and bent over.

"Do you think that actually works?" Victoria glanced over at Lance. "The coin thing." She asked quietly. "Because if it does--" She looked away. "Then, my brothers and sisters never got picked up by the ferry." Victoria sighed. Before shaking her thoughts away. Why the heck did I ask such a ridiculous question.

"I don't know if the ferryman takes bribes but the man deserves to be treated right. He deserves to have his souless eyes to be covered." He paused to look at her. "I'm sure the ferryman turns none away. If he did we would have many more ghosts." He walked forward down the hall waiting for an attack.

". . ." Victoria didn't say anything else. If she did, it would be something along the lines that she didn't think so. But she didn't want to try to convince him anymore. "Come, let's hurry." She stood up, and ran for the next place she could hide. She didn't bother to look back and see if he followed.

((Hm...Want me to time skip? Time skip to them finding their way outside...Or do you want to explain them getting out?))

Lance ran behind her but didn't stop to hide. Instead he kept running down the hall. He didn't hear anyone here. When he got to an open door he heard people inside. He peeked inside and found people fighting. He waited a moment for Victoria to catch up then moved past the door when no one was looking. He continued to run. As he past another door a man stepped out. He wasn't one of her crew and he started to yell for help. Lance acted without thinking and brought the staff up hitting him in the head. The man fell limply down and Lance stepped over him. They ran a bit more without meeting anyone. They came to a door that appeared to lead outside. Lance waited for her to catch up then open the door.

Victoria muttered under her breath as she tried to catch up with him. Only when he knocked the man in the head that she realized he had a weapon. "Where did you get that?" She growled in anger. But she didn't let him answer, she just grabbed him by the arm, and then leaped out the door. Everyone was fighting, and houses where on fire. She started to run for a nearby bush. Not being to careful as to where she was running, she cut herself on an unknown sharp object as she ran by. It cut her deep, and she was about to shout in pain. But she held her breath, and they got to the bush. "...Curses..." She mumbled as she looked at her wound. Strangely enough...Blue blood was coming from her wound instead of crimson red. "This will be bothersome." She said as she peeked over the bush to see if anyone noticed them.

(Decided to change color...Easier this way lol)

Lance started to answer her but stopped as she started running. He followed close behind her. He noticed when she hurt herself but could see what she had hit as he ran by. When he reached the bush he almost gasped but managed to hold it in. She was bleeding blue. It looked like a deep cut. Dropping the staff he quickly pulled off his shirt and tried to bandage the cut. "Are you alright?"

Victoria winced at the pain. She knew he noticed her blue blood so she just said "Please, don't ask. I can't bare to tell you the truth anymore." She sighed as she watched him try to treat her wound. "It's fine. It'll heal. Don't worry about it. Remember, I'm not human." She didn't allow to take in his concern. He didn't want him to worry about her. "Don't worry about me. Worry about getting us out." She leaned over and grabbed his staff. "This will be my walking stick. You shouldn't be armed anyway. Your my captive."

Lance sighed and looked away from her then turned back. He finished tying off the makeshift bandage. He couldn't just let it go. He needed to help to keep the small peice of his soul that he still had.

He stood back up and watched as she took the staff he had taken. "Fine, Captain." He looked around and saw that there were people fighting out here but it looked like most of the fighting was inside the building or around the building they had just left. "I think if we can get to the outskirts of the town we should be fine. It looks like everyone is focusing on where we came from."

Victoria could stand up with the help of the staff. "Alright, lets go." She started walking with the support of the staff. She still looked like that she was in agonizing pain. "I've dealt with worse." She muttered to herself. This is not a problem. She thought, but she knew clearly that it was. "I think there is another town not to far from here...Maybe...A day away?" She talked in a normal tone once they where far enough. But She knew she couldn't walk that far. Nor would she send Lance to go there alone. "I wish there was a horse or something around..."

Lance started walking behind her. He wanted to watch her and he could see she was hurting. "A day away? I doubt you make it another hour." He looked around but he didn't see any horses here but the people in town probably had brought some. "I could go back into town to look for one. If I go there it isn't likely I'll run since the townspeople think I'm your crew and will kill me and the others will kill me too."

"The stable is near where we where being held. Just go around back and get the horse. When we where being taken away I was being observant of my surroundings." But Victoria didn't care if he died or not. As long as he got a horse then she'd be okay. Even if he didn't. She could manage to get there. It would just take longer then a day. "Hurry, before they figure out we are missing, and they go to look for us."

Lance just turned and ran back the way they had come. He came to the stable and slipped inside. There wasn't anyone inside luckily. Instead of going straight to the horses he went to the back where the stable help stayed. He looked around and finally found a shirt that would fit him. He went back out to the horses and looked them over. He finally picked out two horses and saddled them. He looked around one last time and spotted another staff. It had a ribbon tied to it. It must have been a girl's. He grabbed it and jumped the brown horse. He tied the gray horse's bridle to his horse then sent them both out. He quickly came back to Victoria. He slowed the horse down and wished that the ride had been longer. He had always loved riding.

Victoria looked up at him. "Took you long enough." She said as she limped toward the horse. She had no idea how she was going to get on the horse because of her bad leg. "Ya gonna help me Princey?" She asked. For some odd reason her hands where shaking. She hoped that he wouldn't ask because if she opened her mouth she would only say the truth. "Hurry, Hurry." She insisted.

Lance slid off the horse and walked over to her. He left his new staff next to his horse where she wouldn't see it. He carefully grabbed her and hoisted her up and on to the horse. It didn't really bother him too much as he was a bit taller then her. He walked back over to his horse and got back on then leaned over to grap his staff. "Ready?"

It was agony, torture, to get on that horse. Victoria's wound hurt like the burning pits of hades. "Y-Yes." She said, her hands shaking as she grabbed a hold of the rope controlling the horse. "L-Lets g-go." She tried to sound confident, but she was failing to do so as she stuttered. "Let us h-hurry." She insisted, but her horse was not moving, and Victoria turned paler then usual.
