I really thought there would be more active people in this section. :)
Okay I didn't post this topic in here clearly it was moved when I post in avatar chat. That's where it was before here. Now I know this section is active and now my topic doesn't make sense lol

I wouldn't say this is really the "chat" area. It is in a way, because it's a chat about avatars, but that's it. :P

To just chat in general there's the Menewsha Nation, and it's a lot more active, so I'm sure you can strike up conversation with someone there. :)

Simplicity's right. ;D The AC is more for avatar related topics.

The best place to chat and make friends would be in the MN.

I'll go ahead and move this thread over. :)

The Cardinal is not wise to the ways of the world... Too busy putting bibles in hotel rooms and all that.

Well I dunno about you but I was thinking of being curled up with a few books in a conservatory whilst it's raining.

:O
That sounds much more fun than a snuggle party. Indeed, it hit all the right notes for me. Books. Rain. Interesting architecture.

Unless... Maybe a snuggle party whilst that was happening?

As long as the snugglees don't impair my view of the book, yes, that sounds acceptable.

I have a great picture that would illustrate this conversation, but I'm not sure it would comply with menewsha's rules to post it.

Oh well. Ill just let it stew happily in my hard drive then.
I'm wanting to put together a folder of 19th century depictions of Ophelia, but I keep putting it off.

I suppose it's something to do when the internet's dead.

Yes, I suppose. I'm trying to remember where I saw an online collection of them, for I am fairly certain that I did, but I may just have to start from scratch in google.

Or just use google to find the ones you have already seen...

Mhm, mhm. The fact that I have seen so many is kind of what is prompting me to create the collection. That, and the fact that sweet Ophelia is my favourite Shakespearean heroine.

I am not much of a fan of Shakespeare myself, mainly due to being forced upon him by my cruel English teachers when I was at school.

I seem to hear that from a lot of Britons. It's probably a bigger part of your curriculum than it is here. The students here may not like him as well, and I might just be oblivious, but... I think the fact that I was able to pick up on the British attitude indicates that there is a discrepancy.
I've always enjoyed him in any case, and loved doing him in school. Though I was trying to read Troilus and Cressida about a month ago, due to my interest in the Trojan myth cycle in general, and christ, it was a slog. I had to give up about 20 pages in, which saddened me.

Ah, I find it terribly hard to put a book down after I've started, even it I really can't read it. I sit and wonder what the hell happens untill I have to pick it up again and finish it, even if it burns my brain.

Well, even when I was reading it, my reaction was "what the hell is happening?" so it's not much of a change not to be.
