Hello, my name is mat and I'm looking for a couple of people to rp with. I am willing to do both private rps and group rps, though right now I'm more into a private rp. I am literate, I don't godmod or autohit, and I have quite a bit of experience rping.
I am willing to do just about any type of rp, but I do prefer fantasy rps. I am also kinda into the master/slave thing right now, and while I am willing to play either (or both) roles I would prefer to play the slave. I also particularly enjoy sci-fi rps as well, and have also been craving a good undead invasion story (not just zombies, but with things like walking skeletons, ghosts, and various other undead creatures).

Did you have any story plots you wanted to really do? I haven't done the master/slave thing yet so I'd be willing to try that out. I can also play either gender, and I'm able to double up if needed. My request thread is in my signature if you would like to check it out. (:

well, I had an idea for a war between a couple of necromancers in a fantasy world, fighting amongst themselves for control over the "living" population. Also, I had an idea for a slave market group rp, in which there's a person who runs the slave market, a number of masters, a number of slaves, ect.

I might be interested in a Ghost type RP. I have a ghost character in my thread (points to sig)
But he might need tweaking a bit cause currently he doens't know how he died.

Maybe his death was something brutal like a bomb or a mass murder and he pairs up with other ghosts to get revenge?

He could have poltergeist powers and be able to shift things and yeah.

sounds interesting, but why would it only be ghosts/spirits going after revenge? Why not close friends or family members of the victims of these crimes (Ie, a psychic). Or how about a war between a large group of psychics, all fighting for different reasons? I have lots of ideas going through my head right now, it'd probably take three full posts just to list them all.

The idea that stood out to me most would be your undead invasion idea. Would it be somewhat of an apocalyptic setting?

Do you RP in first or third person? I can do both, but I tend to just go with whatever my partner goes for, it keeps things simpler than a change of narration every alternate post.

Hey, if you're still looking for people, that slave market idea sounds cool to me. I haven't done anything like it before.

@disco: I prefer to post in the third person, but if I'm rping through text or IM's, I'll do first person. (mainly cause it doesn't take as much space) It would be a combination between an apocalyptic and fantasy setting. It'd have small amounts of elves, dwarves, humans, ect. but they'd be swarmed by undead, (walking skeletons, zombies, liches, ect) led by powerful necromancers and sorcerers.

@leiko: Well, we'd need a few more people for the slave market rp, but once we find some, lets get it started! I do encourage having multiple characters, cause that makes things more interesting.

@Mat: Sounds interesting. Do you have a storyline in mind for that, or just the setting? I'm happy to brainstorm if not (:

I have a little bit of the storyline in mind, but not a lot yet (I keep getting distracted). I'm not entirely sure whether I want to set it up so that people are fighting to survive the undead, playing as the undead, or both. The introduction/beginning story isn't what's bothering me so much as how to set it up. As the undead are organized, and not just a flailing mob of animated bodies, this could be difficult. I'm also unsure as to whether I want the undead to each have their own mind or be completely controlled by their necromancer/lich controller.
(A lich is what happens when a necromancer extends his life far beyond when the body would die. The body begins decomposing while it's still in use, and after a while there's nothing left but the skeletal frame and the necromancer's power. Becoming like this increases the power of the necromancer because now he has a much smaller bridge to gap between the living and the dead, and it becomes easier for him to control and create his monstrosities, as he himself is already essentially dead. The only other way for a lich to be created is by having a necromancer bring another necromancer back from the dead. Usually this would result in either the necromancer submitting to the lich, forcing the lich to submit to his will, or one of them killing each other.)

I think playing both sounds a good plan. It's much easier to control all aspects of the story if you're playing both the living and the undead. Though, that could just be me xD

You could do it, that the undead are all controlled by the necromancers, but slowly they start to regain their own minds. Sort of like in Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire, the imperious curse was put on Barty Crouch Jr. which is designed to allow complete mind control, but after a while his own thoughts permeated through.

Maybe, though I'm not entirely sure how to go about that. There's a game that I used to play a lot, and some of the things in it would be excellent for this, but if they don't have their own thoughts it won't work very well. (mainly cause it'd suck to have a person playing a mindless creature that would have no thoughts of their own) With any luck I'll be able to get this rp up by tonight.
