Dustan nodded and as he turned to look at her, "Understandable." he said and then turned back to Gesei, "if they dont kill you your always welcome here." he said softly as he gently ran a thumb over Gesei's knuckles.

The elderly woman smiled as she heard him and nodded. "Thank you that is very kind of you." she said softly then looked about her for a moment. "Might you have a room I may stay in? I want to keep an eye on her until at least tomorrow just to make sure she's okay." she asked softly as she watched Gesei's hand slowly curl some in Dustan's and smiled a bit... at least the girl was showing signs of being okay.

Dustan nodded and smiled at her, "yes I do." he said and then looked down at Gesei's hand and patted it gently before forcing himself to let go. He then lead the way down the one cave and showed her a nice room. He then looked at the elderly women and smiled, "this room will be yours for now." he said and hoped that she was okay with that.

"Thank you." the woman smiled as she walked in bowing slightly before closing the door. She was a very respectful woman and knew how to treat people... you had to when you lived in a town like where she did... if you weren't, you were dead or in jail.

Dustan was slightly surprised that she bowed to him but smiled and then headed back to Gesei. He sat down next to her and gently took her hand into his again. "your going to be just fine." he said softly and ran a thumb over her knuckles. He knew that she would be okay and he would protect her a thousand times better then before.

Gesei moved slightly then groaned a bit when she started to hurt and settled again not waking in the least. There was always that chance that she had went into another comma from everything that just seemed to keep building up on her.

Dustan frowned when he heard her and gently squeezed her hand. "dont worry, I am going to be right here." he said to her softly and knew that he wouldn't leave her side.

(maybe we might skip to a few days layer when the healer goes home and we could play that out? Though Gesei still would have woken yet XP )

The woman sighed softly as she checked Gesei’s wounds one more time and re-bandaged them before walking out of the room and went to get Dustan. “Thank you for letting me stay and help for the last week though now I must be off home… I must check on my ill doubter and be there for her.” She said softly as she walked up to Dustan. It had been a week and she was quite worried about her doubter though she had really wanted to make sure Gesei was okay.

Dustan smiled at the olf woman and nodded, "I understand." he said as he looked at her and wished he could do something for in in return. "if there is any way I can repay you please tell me." he said and hoped there was a way that he could return her kindness.

"Don't worry hun, just keep taking care of Gesei and that is all I ask of you... and keep up the good work with the village." The woman smiled softly as she moved over and gave Gesei a kiss on the forehead before she turned to leave once more. She slowly made her home to the village.

Dustan watched her go and got worryed that she might get hurt. She was like a grandmother to him and he wanted to keep her safe just like Gesei.

One of the kids saw the old women before hte others and cried out. Kazu then heard him and poked his head out of his house. He growled when he saw the old women and wondered what she was doing here.

The woman looked at the child and reached down to pick her up and sighed some. "It is alright child Dustan has not harmed me..." she said soothingly to the girl before she sat her down and walked to her doubters house. She checked on her doubter and was filled with worry when she saw that the girl didn't look too good. She worried some that no one was taking care of her though she thought that someone must have if she was still alive... maybe it was the village elder?

Kazu growled and was going to go and tell the old bat that she had made a mistake on coming back. But when he saw her go into her daughters house his anger stopped. Since she had left he had watched over her and made sure that her daughter stayed alive. He entered the house after the old women and looked at her, "what are you doing here? I thougth you had left us for the beast." he asked.

The woman almost jumped when she heard the elder though tried to stay steady as she finished giving her doubter her medicine. She turned to look at the male worriedly as she stayed close to her doubters side. "I only left to help Gesei, she doesn't deserve death and neither does that man." she said softly as she looked at her doubter then back to the man. "And I came back because I wasn't just going to abandon my own doubter." she said sadly as she stroked her doubters cheek softly.

Kazu nodded as he looked at her and nodded. "I tried taking care of her while you where away. I wans't sure if you where going to come back." he said and then looked at her daughter. You coudl see that the girl had left a mark on Kazu. He then looked at the old women, "you do know that I should probably kill you for leaving the village. But your one of our best healers and your the only one who can help her." he said as he looked at her.

"I came back with that knowledge on my heart and I had no fear of it... I know I did the right thing rather anyone else thought I did or not." the woman said softly as she sat by the bed. She knew that at any time now they could just choose to kill her... though they wouldn't, she didn't think, since she was the top healer. She knew that it was a lie though and that the second top healer was almost as good as her and that anyone could take care of her doubter just so long as they looked at the list of things to do for her until she gets better.

Kazu looked at her, "but why help them? THat beast is blood thirsty and nothing else and Gesei left us for him. Why should we help people that dont care for us?" he asked and still didn't get it. It made no sence to him and he could only look at the women with confusion.

"Because I am like Gesei's second mother.... and she's like a doubter to me. That male is not a monster... he is very kind and he almost pouted when I would tell him I needed him to leave the room. He truly does care about her and I think what they were saying about him protecting us is true.... isn't that why we gave Gesei as a sacrifice in the first place?

Kazu looked at her and had to think for a few minutes. Was that why they truely gave the women to that be- no man? But the more he thought about it he nodded, "I suppose your right but what about the other women? why would he need more and why wouldn't he protect them like he is with Gesei?" he asked.

"In the last week I've really been talking to him and from what he has told me is that the others either ran off because of the fear that the roomers were true or tried to kill themselves because of the roomers that are not true... two girls did get killed by a dragon though... that is one thing he is protecting us from. He said he never asked for the girls and that the village just started offering them.... I think the first time he walked into the village or something.

Kazu looked at her slightly surprised and as he thought of it he guessed it was true. "so if we chose to we could stop sacrificing people to him." he said as he looked at her and you could tell he was starting to believe her words. Maybe it was true that he was only protecting them, maybe.

"Yes though we should pay him at least some kind of respects... maybe a dinner every year like we do the festival? Except this could be a much happier time since we could all try to gather in peace and as friends or allies?" The woman suggested softly trying to think of something she knew the two would like... and she hoped that soon enough the village and Dustan could get along... he was too kind for them not to treat him right.

Kazu looked at her and slowly turned this idea around in his head. After a few minutes he nodded, "I think that could work but I would hav eto talk to the village about this. I am not sure if they will be as accepting to this idea as I am." he said as he looked at her.
