Gesei cried and screamed begging for them to stop hurting her though they didn't. She cried out for Dustan or the healer though she couldn't come... she knew if she helped Gesei now she would probably be stoned or beaten like the young girl was being now. The village elder looked at the men as they spoke and cursed inwardly. "Get the troops together and have them hide close to where Gesei is... he'll come and try to get her back and when he does we will kill him." the elder ordered sternly as he looked at the men glancing back to the area where Gesei was though only had a look of distaste in his eyes for the girl and no pity or regret for having her punished so harshly... he would probably let them kill her... though of course that would be after the killed Dustan.

Dustan growled as he continued to cirlce the village. He looked like a rabid bear or something. He had a look in his eyes that told you if you got close to him you would die. But as he circled he started to smell something, it was blood... Gesei's blood. He growled more when he smelled it and his claws dug into the ground. HIs dark fur stood straight up and his tail swished back and forth. Slowly his tail seemed to grow spikes and his teeth and claws seemed to grow larger. He was truely the monster they thought he was now, only worse. He then let out a roar and charged into the village. He killed anyone who got close to him and headed straight for where Gesei was.

As soon as Dustan started to get close a very large group of men came up some with swords, knives, and other weapons then there was some with bow and arrows in the back all of the arrow-men attacking Dustan right away. When he was close enough the fighters started to attack him and dig their weapons deep into his skin. If you looked past all of that you could see Gesei being whipped and looking like she was just about to let go since she was hurting so much and she thought that they might have killed Dustan... she couldn't really see or hear what was going on over that way so she actually didn't know that he was there.

Dustan growled as he felt them slash at him but nothign seemed to stop him. Instead he slashed and tore them apart. He could see her and when he saw how badly she was hurt he let our a huge roar. NOthing was going to stop him from getting her back. He swiped his paw across the yard and men flew everywhere. He charged over to where she was and bite the man hurting her in half. ONce he was sure that he was dead he looked at her and whimspered softly. He let his fangs go away he so he could lick her head. He then curled up around her to keep her safe and looked down at her worried.

Gesei whimpered some though only fell to the ground unable to hold herself anymore and passed out as she bled horribly. Her clothes were pretty much ruined and you could see the angry whelps from where they had hit her, beat her, and whipped her... she was bleeding so bad that if some of it wasn't stopped soon then she would die from it... After Dustan had done all that the men that had survived all dashed off and were soon being treated.... they wouldn't get in his way now. The old healer looked around worriedly as she walked over to the two and knelt down near them though not too close not sure if Dustan was still inraged or not. "I can help her... I would hate to see her die... please, let me help you two." she said softly and tenderly only wanting to help the two so they could get out of there and be safe.

Dustan stayed close to her and whimpered softly. He knew that she was bad but he couldnt' help, he only had claws on his side. But when he felt a precence near them he growled but stopped when he heard her. He looked at he healer and whimspered again. He moved slightly so that she coudl get to Gesei but stayed as close to her as possible. If they decided to attack him he would kill them all.

The healer looked at Gesei then looked around then back to the girl as she checked on her wounds and frowned. "Can you take me to your cave with her? We need to get her off the ground and I don't trust them right now close to her or you... they'll try to kill you." she whispered softly as she touched Dustan's paw softly sowing him that she wouldn't hurt either of them and that she just wanted to help them.

Dustan listened to her and then slowly nodde.d He nudged her with his nose and motioned for her to get on his back with Gesei. Slowly he grew bigger and his back was large enough for gesei to lay comfortably on there without trouble. He knew that they had to get out of there fast before the villagers decided to do something.

The healer nodded and got Gesei into her arms wrapping her in her shall snugly so as to try and slow down the bleeding then got up on Dustan's back laying Gesei down though still had a slight grip on her so she wouldn't fall off. "Okay I think we're all set." she said softly Rubbing Dustan's head softly and in a friendly way.

Dustan smiled when he felt her rub his head and slowly got to his feet. A few of the villagers glared at him but no one tried to stop him as he headed out of there. As he got to the village boarder he could hear Kazu scream. He smirked and then headed into the forest as quickly as possible. He needed to get her to his cave right away. After a few minutes they where there and he headed straight inside. Right when they got to his room he layed down and waited for the healer to take Gesei off and work on her.

"I don't know how she would feel about this... though I need to take her kimono off to work on her wounds... also do you think you could get me some water, a cloth, and some bandages?" the healer said softly as she laid Gesei down on the bed and felt that the girl wouldn't like Dustan being in the area when she didn't have any clothes on past a wrap around her chest... which was probably about to come off because of her being whipped and her under garments... yeah she didn't think that Gesei would want him to see her with hardly any clothes on.

Dustan nodded and dissappeared out of the room for a seconds. When he back back he had the supplies and had changed into a human, "here, you know more about healing them I do. SO I will be guarding the door. no one is going to come in here and get close to her." he said as he looked at her and smiled. He then looked at Gesei and got worryed. "or I can help you if you like."

The healer nodded some in thanks as she took the supplies then looked at him thinking some and shook her head. "No I don't need help though thank you... just make sure no one comes in..." she said softly as she went ahead and started mixing some herbs.

Dustan nodded and smiled at her, "okay be right outside." he said and then headed out of there. When he got to the enterence of the cave he turned into the form he had taken earlyer and made sure that no one could get in. He kept all his sences on alert and kept his eyes open.

The healer then removed Gesei's kimono since Dustan was out of the room and started working quickly and carefully. After about 30 minutes or so she came walking out to where Dustan was. "Do you have a new change of clothes for her? I'm done and I just wanted to get her changed into some fresh clean clothes." she asked him softly seeming happy that she could save the young girls life.

Dustan smiled when he heard her and shifted back into his human form. "there is clothing right down the other hall. YOu can take any clothing you want." he said as he looked at her and smiled. "how is she?" he asked and wanted to go and see her soon.

"She's okay though her body's under a lot of stress from them beating her... you got her just in time for if they had beaten her anymore I wouldn't have been able to save her... let me go get her dressed and then you can come in there." The healer said softly as she made her way to the other room then took the clothes and dressed Gesei making sure none of her wounds had started bleeding through too quickly.

Dustan watched her go and waited till he knew it was safe. Slowly he came into the room and frowned when he saw Gesei, she looked bad. He wished he had gotten there sooner, they should of never done this to her. He sat down next to her and gently took her hand into his. "I am sorry." he said softly.

"I'm not sure when she will awaken... She took quite a bit of damage and from what I could see she had already been weak before that." the healer said softly as she came back into the room. Gesei twitched slightly when her hand was taken and he spoke to her though she couldn't really tell what he was saying.

Dustan held her hand and gently ran a thumb over her knuckles. "this is all my fault, I should of protected her better. I should of never of let my guard down." he said softly and you could tell he hated himself for this. She was like this because of his carelessness. But for now on he owuld protect her no matter what and make sure that nothing ever happened to her again.

"Don't stress yourself... they were going to come anyway... there would be no stopping them past this." the healer said softly as she laid a hand on Dustan's shoulder softly and tried to comfort him at least a little though didn't know if it would work.

Dustan sighed and took little comfort from her hand. "But it is still my fault, it is my duty to protect her and I failed." he said kept ahold of Gesei's hand. "I promise that this will never happen to you again." he said to Gesei softly but knew she didn't know she coudlnt' hear him.

The woman sighed softly as she patted his shoulder then left the room to give them some time. The woman knew that she would only be here a little longer... as soon as she went back to the village they would more then likely kill her even though she had a doubter and she was the main healer. She didn't fear her fate though... it was worth it to make sure Gesei and this male were safe and sound from the village.

Dustan listened to her leave and then spoke up when she was at the door, "if you wish your welcome to stay here, a friend of Gesei is friend of mine." he said and then let the women leave. He hoped that she would since it would mean alot to him to have her here and be able to help them when they needed to.

The woman heard Dustan as she stood close to the mout of the cave and turned back to walk back to the door. "I must go though... if they let me back... I have an ill doubter in the village that needs me badly... I pray they don't kill me for her sake." she smiled sadly as she thought of her doubter and did fear slightly that they would kill her and her doubter would be left alone and would die because of her ailments.
