"I hurt him...But he probably moved on quickly..." she muttered, wincing slightly as he worked on the other arm. She watched his face as he spoke, and smiled, gazing at him softly. Her hand made its way over to his, and slowly, she rested her head on his arm and curled up on her bed, closing her eyes once again. She breathed in deeply, inhaling his scent, and sunk into him, holding onto his hand. "I feel pathetic ..." she said, scoffing quietly. Her arms felt much better, but still burnt like hell. She clutched his hand tightly. "I am tired of leaning on others...But you're just so welcoming...It's brilliant ... It's like I'm back home. You make me feel wanted, Rythen," she yawned and laughed. "Crazy, huh? ... My mom loved me very much ... My father had to leave to go find a job ... He was stabbed to death when I was four years old. I still hate him to this day for hurting my dear mother. She didn't deserve anything she went through after his departure. She cried every night, and I wanted to comfort her, but every time I tried, she'd hit my behind and yell at me for being awake. I fear that during those times at night ... She was high on heroine. I found needles in the bathroom when I was older. It made sense to me, why she always looked drained and ... Old." Talking about her mother made her tear up, and those tears dripped onto Rythen's arm. She's never talked to anyone about her past. She's been too afraid to cry.

Rythen smiled down at Mellie. He ignored the first comment. "Your not pathetic. You can lean on me anytime you need to. I feel very comfortable with you too." He sighed. "I am very sorry about your family." He always found it sad to hear of people who lost family so young. "In my town we never had problems with drugs like that. We had a few addicted to painkillers and a few herbs. After coming here I have seen the damage though that drugs can do. It must have been hard." He sighed and looked away from her. He looked around her tent.

She felt her head slide down his arm, and soon it plopped into his lap. She was too weak to hold it up, so he was going to have to either re-position her, or simply let her stay there. Her face was red, and her eyes opened slowly, as she looked up at him. "You can't even look at me...Why's that?" she asked, taking his hand and setting it on her abdomen. It was the most non-perverted place that he could reach that would not be awkward for the two of them. She stared at him, tracing his jawline, and his neck, down to his shoulders. 'Such a built man...It's a miracle he isn't with someone...But either way...He is not interested in me...I'm just another pathetic woman...' she thought, and with that, she side, resting her sore arm over her eyes.

''Well it's all about progressing. If they actually were as smart as our dear human Emily, they wouldn't be able to reproduce because women became too smart to fall for a couple of words...''
''Aha, indeed. Apparently human males do that so it was a bit of a comparison. And indeed, luckily they do~'' She said, pretty much ignoring the first comment. The woman wanted a person like her, immortal. If he died she'd be left alone, which is something she wouldn't be able to... Overcome. A small smile played her face, a sad one but in the end Cire thought Ahanna kinda understood, if she'd give the elf a hint. But there was no need to, passing her bothers on to others wasn't something she should do on a 5 minute basis.
''Hmm, really? You should... Meeting others of your kind I mean, it can be very refreshing since elves are very very nice people. I might be able to locate some through my books, who knows~'' She grinned, enjoying the thought of taking people to their own kind... Made her think of rebuilding her own community one day. That would be hard, but seems like fun.
''Hmm, another thing learned then. Would have never thought that elves would be wed out... I'm glad though, that you didn't. Often such planned marriages still continue no matter the feelings of the people actually marrying. And about me... Well, I used to. But I didn't bother trying, I wanted him to get a person that would be like him... So they could be and die together. I only wanted him to be happy, so watching him untill the day he died with his lovely wife was enough. She was lovely and the perfect person for him, after all. All she cared about was seeing him smile, we were friends and she knew about my feelings. A very strong woman.'' Cire said, sighing, smiling broadly. Yes, she was proud of that decision. Regretted it a little, but proud.
When Ahanna started to describe herself, Cire closed her eyes trying to get the picture. ''Well, your appearance won't hold your love life back. From what I hear you're very pretty... To say it suits you would be a whole completely different thing, but then again, I can't say I know you completely so I'll leave you to judge.'' She smiled, opening her eyes again to notice Adam's presence nearing.
''Oh but dear.. Haven't I told you? I am an animal to be mounted herself. I love, absolutely crave, running at night with the moon showering her light upon the earth. Taking a person up my back would be even more fun, for sharing the experience. So wait untill it's a bit darker and the coast is 'clear' so to speak. I can't leave with a threat in the circus, I've made it my duty to protect this place even though Zalia is perfect capable of that as well. You know what I mean...'' She said softly, turning to look at Adam as far as she could with her hazle black eyes.
Her eyebrows rose... Her smile almost dropped big droplets of doubtfully coloured venom.
''Next time you leave me, do not leave me at a crowded place without soil under my feet. I'll be sure to gauge your eyes out and let you know just how wonderfull that is. Understood Adam?'' She said, keeping her stare before laughing. ''Now, the scaring part has been gone, do take me seriously though. I'll need to feed the animals, but I'll show up at the canteen. Esting together wouldn't be bad, but only if Mellie agrees with you. Yes, I'm aware that you hurt each other. Even though I'm blind, I do see things.'' She said, smiling broadly. ''What do you think Ahanna? Eat together or give him the cold back~?'' At which she stuck out her tongue to him playfully before turning to Ahanna again.

Rythen focused on not blushing as Mellie's head fell into his lap then looked down at her when she asked and chuckled. "That isn't true. I can look at you." He let her move his hand. "I was just thinking about your childhood." She really was beautiful when he looked but what he really found amazing was that she could open up to him. She could share her emotions with others. He looked at her for a moment then thought about moving her. But she looked comfortable so he left her alone.

"Ah but a couple of words can work such magic.

I'm sure it would be refreshing to meet others of my kind but I think I will wait a while before.

Well we do not always have arranged marrages. My parents were not. Only a few couples are done that way. The elves that show an extreme talent in magic are usually paired together to try to perserve the power. Me and Rythen were matched because when are towns combined there were problems at first. The dark elves did not like the light elves and vise versa. Rythen's parents were the leaders of his town and mine were the favorite of ours. So we were put together to bind the towns. Of course no one is forced into a marrage. We are simply never expected to be with anyone else." She laughed at this.

"It must have been hard for you to deal with that but you made two people happy.

Well thank you. Yo wouldn't think it would hold back a relationship but that is all it seems to do. People either just look at my appearance or they simply will not approach me. Well then I'm sure it would be great fun to go out for a run. And I'm glad to hear you want to wait till after the show. I would not be able to leave to have fun with the others here with the hunters.

She turned to look at Adam too. "I see no problem with eating together." She started figiting with her hair and ended up braiding a portion of it. When they had first come here she had thought Adam was cute. He had seemed like a nice guy. But he never approached her. They had barely talked at all and with what had happened in this day she wasn't s sure about him anymore.

Mellie coughed, her body jolting as she did so. "So...I have a request," she said, moving her arm to look at Rythen once more. She smiled at him and tightened her grip on his hand, a security thing for her. Her eyes shifted as she looked around her tent, sighing softly. "I do wish to know ... " Pause. She couldn't ask. It's too personal. 'Come on, Mel! Just ask! Who do you like?! Just ask him! He's not going to throw a fit because you just wish to know who he has feelings towards!' She felt her face turn red, and a squeal escaped her lips. Her arm took its place back over her eyes. Slowly, she took a deep breath. "Rythen, who do you have feelings for?" she asked, keeping her arm over her eyes, her face even more red. It wasn't like her to be so forward with things, but she wanted him to feel like he could open up to her. She wanted him to tell her everything. All she wanted was a close friend. Even though she adored his personality, his looks, his way of life ... She would do anything to keep him as a friend. It's true ... She would most likely grow to like him ... Maybe love him ... But that didn't matter, yet.

Rythen's eyes lit up as Mellie struggled with the question. She was so cute when she turned red. He was happy that she could get past the embarsment of asking to ask him but the question did bring up problems. After what had happened he didn't think he could really tell her. But he chuckled. "So I take it you didn't like my riddle with that question? I like a woman who is brave, shows her feelings, and cute. She is not related to anyone here and isn't connected to any animal. She is willing to fight for what she believes and speaks her mind. And she turns a beautiful shade of red." He had started to turn red as he spoke. There she can either guess it or not but I hope I will still at least be her friend.

For a second, she thought, then finally, she became dumbfounded. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!" she yelled, hitting her forehead with her palm, then groaning at the pain. She held her hand over her face, and sighed, closing her eyes as she thought. 'He doesn't deserve to get yelled at...' Finally, she looked up at him. "Heh, as long as you don't tell me you love me ... We're on good terms," she smiled and reached up, running her hand over his cheek softly. She ran it from his cheek, to his neck, over his shoulder, and down his arm. Reaching the hand that was resting on her stomach, the one she abandoned to smack her forehead with, she grasped it and shut her eyes again, smiling softly. She then reached up again, stroking his long hair softly, before dropping her hand again to accompany his.

Lucifer watched the crowd through everything and scoffed, watching Adam go from Mellie, to Cire, back to Mellie, and then, finally, back to Cire. Considering he was back after going to visit Mellie, she must have told him off. He heard the girl yelling, from the practice tent, after Adam left, but he'd figured it was at Rythen. Sighing, Lucifer sat on the ground, watching everyone shift around, talk, laugh, and wait for the next act. It was going to seem like forever until Scarlett's act. He groaned and looked around for her. "Oh, Scarlett...?" he called out softly, like he was calling to a cat or dog. "Hrmph..."

When she yelled out Rythen had a moment of fear. She was upset and would leave him and he wouldn't even haver her friendship. But he couldn't lie to her and tell her it was someone else. He smiled when he heard her next words though. "I wouldn't dream of saying any such thing." Softer he continued, "until we're both ready." He squeezed her hand. "As long as we can be friends I will be happy." He sat still just enjoying the moment for awhile. Then he sighed, "We should head back to the show soon though. I promised Ahanna we would be back before the end and I'd rather not have her running through the camp alone looking for us. Especially with how she would find us." He blushed slightly.

Giggling, she sat up, ignoring the rush of dizziness, and turned to him. She smiled and leaned forward, kissing this cheek softly, and whispering, "Thank you," before getting up and walking to the tent entrance. Turning around, she smiled at Rythen, beckoning him. "Come on, lover boy!" she giggled more, stepping out into the night. She looked up at the sky, staring at the stars, and resting her eyes on the crescent moon. "I've never ... Seen something so beautiful ..." she spoke slowly, breathing in deeply. "Where I lived ... There were too many lights, so we never saw the sky ..."

Rythen couldn't imagine being happier. He stood up with a smile on his face and followed her outside. He could imagine a person who had never seen the moon in her own light. "The trees blocked her from our view at home but there was a clearing we went to see her from. And if you were brave enough to climb to the top of a tree and look she was amazing. Her glow was beautiful on the trees. But if you like her now just wait till she is full or for the harvest moon. It is amazing to see her turn orange." He had been looking up at the moon but at the end had turned to look at Mellie who was even more beautiful under the moon.

Adam:

Adam laughed when Cire stuck her tongue out at him. He turned to Ahanna when Cire asked her whjat she thought. "Sounds great to me, but I don't know if Mellie would come if she heard I was going to be there. I don't care for her that way you know. She probably doesn't care to ever see me again. It's sad, but it's my fault. I ruined any chance of talking to her again." His face expression wasn't sad. Adam already knew the damage he had done. It would probably change everyone's minds about him. Oh well. Anyway, enough about Mellie. "So, uh, where do you two want to go? I'll go anywhere you want to." Adam said with a small smile.

Ahanna looked at him then realized he was talking about leaving the circus to eat. She froze and it took her a moment before she could talk. "Oh, um, I can't leave the camp. I haven't left it yet. And I've never been to the humans' town." She looked down. She couldn't stand to go into such a place. To be surrounded by people who would stare. Of people that might want to kill her. And she couldn't do it with Cire and Adam. She liked Cire but she didn't know if she could do it. "I'll, uh, just stay here." She refused to look back up and her hair fell forward to hide her face. She continued to stare at her tightly gripped hands.

Scarlett sat her head up slightly when she heard Lucifer call for her. "Out here!" She called back, kind of softly but she didn't feel like getting up from her spot under the stars. Her green eyes shined along with the burning balls of fire in the sky, looking for pictures that they made. She hoped Lucifer heard her so he could see the beauty of the night as well, and because she loved being around him. Her chest went up as she inhaled, then slowly exhaled out of boredom. Maybe having the finale wasn't so great after all. She ran her hand threw her hair and looked towards the entrance of the tent to see if Lucifer wascoming.

Taking Rythen's hand softly, she walked slowly, smiling. "If I had to choose between warm nights or warm days for the rest of my life ..." she paused, lacing her fingers with his. There was a distinct difference between their hand sizes, but it made her feel safe. Like he was her guard. She tightened her grip and hiccuped, staring up at the sky. Her arms were still sore, but not as sore as before. 'It's my own fault. My anger the the best of me. I deserve what I got ... I should at least try to say sorry ...' she thought, her head spinning with play-outs of what would happen after she said sorry to Adam.

There Was The Possibilities of Adam;
Throwing his cup of juice on her.
Yelling at her.
Pushing her away, and walking off.
Throwing his pie in her face.
Staying silent and not accepting it.
Smiling and accepting it.

'So complicated ...' she thought, dangling her head whilst she walked with Rythen.

Lucifer laughed and stood up, walking over to Scarlett. He stood behind her, playing with her hair softly. "How are you feeling?" he asked, running his fingers down her neck softly, still watching the crowd. "Anything strange happen out there?" he laughed, looking down at her.

Scarlett leaned against Lucifer as he played with her hair. "I feel fine.. just my eyes are kind of going out of focus a lot from the lights so I got kind of dizzy." She said, tilting her head to look back up at the stars again. "Nothing really strange.. " She said softly, finding Orions belt in the sky. " See that? Orion's belt. Apparently Zeus sent a hunter named Orion into the sky to watch over everyone." She said, remembering back on the Greek stories she knew. "I have a question about the necklace.. though you'll probably think i'm stupid for asking.."

Rythen smiled down at Mellie as they walked. As they walked he felt very protective. He could tell she was thinking about something and from the fact she was holding his hand he didn't think it was about how to get away from him. Which made him even more happy. He didn't care what she thought of as long as it wasn't that. As the walked to the tent he noticed that Lucifer and Scarlett were outside of the back entrance. He pointed them out to Mellie. "Think we should go bother them or leave them alone?"

Lucifer laughed and put his hands over Scarlett's eyes. "No looking at the lights!" he commanded, laughing harder. He looked up at the stars with her and smiled as she spoke of Orion's belt. When she mentioned the necklace, he looked back to her, then his eyes shifted to her chest. Smirking, he leaned down and whispered, "You better cover those up before a perverted old man comes and stared at them." Standing back up, he laughed. "And, besides, I could never think you're stupid! Perhaps ... Slightly idiotic, but, you know ... That depends on the question," he joked, watching her. "Now, what was that question you wanted to ask?"

Mellie looked over at Scarlett and Lucifer, then in her mind she cheered happily. 'Rythen's mine! YES!' She took a second, pretending she was thinking, then smiled up at Rythen. "I think they wouldn't want to be bothered ... I'm sure if I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't want to be bothered, when he and I were alone and about to smooch," she giggled and walked towards the main entrance of the tent, hearing commotion. 'Oh no ...' she blinked, remembering how she felt when she was in there, watching everyone, hearing everything. Swallowing her pride, she tightened her fist and decided to take the risk of passing out, just so Rythen could enjoy himself. She fiddled with his thumb, using her own, and giggled, looking up at him. "You're too tall!" she whined and stuck her tongue out playfully.

She blushed as he stared at her chest. " Perverted men stare at me all the time, it's one downside to my act." She said to him with a small smirk. Since her outfit showed off her womenly traits it was sort of hard to hide them since the dress was made to show them off. She pulled the top up a little to hide the small amount of cleavage it showed and stood up, taking his hand. "Well.. what if in the future I wanted to.." She bit her lip. "Have a..baby? Would that even work? I mean, If I don't age then does that mean my body wouldn't be able to have one?" She asked, her green eyes flickering towards the ground to not look at him. She felt slightly akward asking this but just in case she ever did want to have a kid she'd like to know. "Oh, and if your going to talk about my cleavage then why not wear a shirt while performing? You know how many people are eying you.." She said with a small grin, turning to hug him.

Rythen laughed then followed Mellie. "I suppose you are right. I'll just have to bother him some other time. Flirting is fun but poking fun is more in this case." He noticed that when they reached the front she paused and froze slightly. He walked over to her and wrapped his arm around her. "Don't worry about the crowd. They can't hurt you. And If you want you can sit between me and Ahanna. I'm sure she'll let us sit with her." He chuckled and smiled down at her last comment. "I'm not too tall. Your just short."

"You see ... I like teasing the women, my friend," he grinned and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his hands on her lower back. "And, if my father wore that very same necklace, and had me ... I have a slight feeling that you will be able to have children," he smiled, rubbing her back softly. He leaned down and kissed her forehead, looking over and catching the glimpse of Rythen, walking with Mellie. This put a larger smile on his face, seeing the two holding hands. Slowly, he stood back up, straight, and looked down at Scarlett, raising an eyebrow. "Why would you ask that question, anyways?"

"No reason.." She said softly, guessing that by his look that he thought her question meant she wanted children with him. " I just thought that maybe someday i'd like to have a kid or two.. thats all.." She said, looking away and feeling a slight blush on her pale face. She would of course love to end up with Lucifer, but not many happy endings came true now a days. She smiled at Rythen and Mellie and leaned into his chest, wrapping her arms around him and looking up at him. She was already rejoicing to herself that Rythen was with Mellie so he couldn't be with Lucifer. Hopefully that would make him eventually only care for her. She knew this was selfish.. but she still gave him a small kiss on the lips. "Want to go see the flowers while we have time?" She asked, looking in the direction towards the flower garden she had seen earlier.

"Too short?!" she squeaked, pinching him softly. "You're mean!" Her voice was high and childish, slightly whiny. She pulled away from him and ran inside, spotting Ahanna and Cire, talking to someone. She stopped in her tracks, looking over at them. "Adam ..." she whispered, and turned to look at Rythen. Sighing softly, she made her way over and refused to look at Adam. "Hello, Ahanna!" she exclaimed, sitting next to her. "I left Rythen behind." Sticking her tongue out playfully, she giggled. Leaning forward, she waved to Cire. "Hello!" she giggled more and swung her feet, hiccuping softly. For once ... Her smile was true.

Lucifer smirked softly and watched Scarlett. He whispered in her ear, teasingly, "Of course we can have children, dear," and bit her ear softly. He kissed her back and grinned. For a second, he squeezed her, and laughed. "Let's go, then!" he grabbed her hand and pulled her softly. "Look at la lune!" he pointed to the moon, then bent over and sneezed. "Jeez, it's cold ..." He flexed and grinned as his necklaces jingled loudly. "Now, where is that flower bed?" he asked, turning to Scarlett, his smile lighting up his face as he pulled her close, wrapping his arm around her waist.

She smiled and followed after him. She had blushed a little at the comment of them having children together.. but she had no complaints since she would love if they were together with beautiful little children. "I'll show you where it is." She said, lacing their fingers as she led him to the left of the main tent and towards the woods. She led him along until they were in a small clearing in the woods that had flowers everywhere, swaying in the breeze. The area was slightly secluded since trees surrounded the area. She looked up to the moon, her smile getting a little bigger when he said moon in french she had learned a lot of french from her mother. Scarlett had learned as a child that the moon was named Luna and the suns name was Apollo. "You know.. Luna always yearns to be with Apollo yet they have to wait so long to see each other. And when their together everything goes black since their love is forbidden." She whispered, obviously talking of how every 70 years or more there was a solar eclipse where the moon and the sun could finally be together again. She took him over to the rose bush she had been picking roses from for her acts lately and ran her hand over one of the petals. She noticed a few lightning bugs fluttering around here and there and felt her eyes follow them before she ran her hand down Lucifer's cold chest. "Maybe you wouldn't so cold if you had a shirt on." She teased, putting her hands on his shoulders.
