Kyle was so engrossed in his 'act' he didn't notice much of anything, only up until he stopped a few minutes after the other girl left. Aki on the other hand had seen the emotions fly on Melony. Hyper aware of the nervousness the other girl felt she wondered if that was maybe what drew Naki to her. Out of the four, Naki was the most empathic, and sometimes it scared Akasha. "What happened?" He asked as he bounced from the landing. He esaily figured out how to collapse the blade and set it beside him. "I believe she may have a fear of heights. I'm beginning to think that may be why Kita was so friendly to a point." Akasha said softly, wincing slightly at having missed her sister having a panic attack. Kyle could tell what was going through his sisters mind and hugged her loosely as they waited for the others to come back.
The wolf whined, lowering its head in apology, but it did not leave their side. When Kita had paused, Caleb brushed along the back of her legs, offering his gentle support. Kita leaned into the touch, nodding even as a few tears slipped past her tightly closed lids. "No. I'll be fine. I'm going to take a run." She blushed from the kiss and easily hugged the older woman back before she stepped back to shift into a tiger, still small, an adolescent, but almost as big as an adult tiger. Caleb shifted back to his human form, his arms crossing against his chest as he watched the tiger run off. "She'll be rather large as a tiger." He commented, though there was a hint of pride lacing his words. "Lets hurry up before they run out of pancakes in the practice room." He chuckled softly.

A soft laugh escaped Casimir. Such a small thing to completely unnerve a hunter of his caliber! Thoughts whirled withing his mind as he saw Cire kneel in front of him in order to look at his hand. He held it out a little embarrassed at having to do so. "Meet humanoid supernaturals?" The man laughed harshly. "They are all I hunted, never once did I harm a unicorn, never did I lay a hand on a dragon. Vampires, werewolves, elves... I reveled in hunting them, matching my wits against theirs."He paused to look into Cire's eyes, he wanted desperately for her to see the sincerity of his next words."I regret that now, I feel bad for them, because now I wonder what their lives were like, or who they were." The hunter stopped and tried to calm his raging thoughts as he remembered the pleading faces of those he had destroyed. Shaking his head, he felt like yelling, but he kept it all within his chest.

Ahanna couldn't help but listen to Melony's problem. When she finished talking Ahanna wrapped her knees around the branch and tilted back. She fell off the limb and ended up hanging upside down off the limb. She waved at Melony. "Hello dear. Sorry for listening in. Kind of hard not to sitting in the tree and all. If you don't want to do something just tell them so. I ride a pegasus and you wouldn't catch me on the high wire. The trampolines are kind of fun but I don't jump high. Anyways, you seem to trust Day. How bout you go for a ride?" She swung back and forth for a moment and grabbed the limb with one hand. She pulled herself up so that she was just out of sight.
Day listened to Melony then looked up when Ahanna swung down. He listed to her then knelt down in front of Melony. He liked the girl and she was having a hard enough time.

A little shocked at the elf's sudden interruption Melony stared up at the tree for a moment before looking down to the kneeling pegasus. She could feel fear making her tremble, but Ahanna was right, she did trust Day. Taking a deep breath Melony carefully put a leg across Day's broad back and settled herself as comfortably as she could just in front of his wings. Leaning forward so she could grab the pegasu's mane the young woman whispered, "Don't go too high or fast okay? I'm sure you can tell by my trembling how terrified I am." Silently she wondered if she was crazy or not, a small smile drifted across her face. She would be crazy not to take this chance!

Day stood up carefully. Pff, like I would drop anyone. I have my pride. He stood up carefully and started galloping. He could take off from a standing postion but it was harder with a rider and he wouldn't go very high. To get over the tree line he would need the extra speed. Sadly there wasn't a straight path to run so he ran in a circle around the camp.
After a few minutes he jumped up and took flight. He quickly climbed in the air high but stopped when he was just above the tree line. He also slowed so that he was going about the speed of a canter.
After a bit he looked back to see how Melony was fairing. He loved flying so much he hoped she wasn't too scared. He had only flown with Ahanna and once Rythen so he wasn't sure how she would take it. Ahanna had simply compared it to a fast gallop in an open space. Which always made him sad. Flight was so much more.

When day began running around the circus, Melony immediately smiled. It reminded her of the very few riding lessons she'd taken. Automatically she tightened her legs around the pegasus to keep her balance. When she felt the his wings begin to beat in order to lift him off the ground she leaned forward to hide her face in his mane while clutching him frantically. After a few minutes she opened her eyes slowly.
Straightening Melony opened her eyes fully. The wind rushed trough her hair, and she could see so much! She started laughing with the joy of it all, it was intoxicating and wondrous. It felt like the sky supported them, purposefully lifting them high above everything else. "This is amazing! Everything's wonderful, this feels magical! I'm jealous of Ahanna getting to experience this all the time." Melony spoke loudly so the wind wouldn't steal away her words. On impulse she lot go of Day's mane to lift her hands up to the sky with a joyous laugh. "Thank you Day! Thank you so much for showing me this." Leaning forward once more, Melony hugged the pegasus as best she could.

''I see. Vampires often just want to die because of their curse... But to kill werewolves and elves goes a bit further than I'm comfortable with.'' Cire answered slowly, examining the hand as far as she could with the one hand she had. ''Nothing too serious, luckily.'' A smile played her lips as she whispered in what seemed a branch of old latin, drawing a small incantation in the air. ''It should be healed within a couple of minutes.'' She stood up quickly, now using two hands for the food. That way went so way faster after all. ''I'll need a few minutes to create a barrier, so it can prevent the animals from straying too far. That's something I can't learn you, as you're human it would kill you performing the spell.'' The fox said, brushing a hand through her hair.

Day was so happy to hear that she was enjoying the ride. He looked around for a moment and finally saw the clearing. He flew over it and saw that Ash was no longer there. He slowed down and landed gracefully in the clearing. He lowered himself so that she would have an easier time getting off. Maybe it is time.

The strangest feeling came over Casimir. He lowered his head, to hide his eyes from Cire. "You have every right to hate someone like me, and here you are taking care of my hurt hand." He watched silently after that as she took care of creating a barrier, and found it within himself to feel admiration for an ability he'd always loathed. To be able to heal a cut with a few words, to create barriers... The hunter felt envy of those he hunted, and did not want to kill them for what he did not have. Rather, he wanted to become capable of capturing one particular fox, and not in the manner he was used to.
With a last hug for Day, Melony got off his back with a smile. Looking at the pegasus she couldn't help but feel amazed. "I don't think I'm going to worry too much about the trampoline, after having experienced that." Tilting her head the young woman regarded Day happily. "There is one thing though... I wish you could talk. I wonder what you would sound like." Curiosity filled her eyes along with a little sadness at the thought of something she was pretty sure would never happen.

Day ran into the trees and shifted. He had stolen a pair of Rythen's pants and stashed them in the woods. He quickly put them on and ran back to Melony on his new two legs. He waited to see her reaction. He dreaded seeing it and even more explaining it to the others.

At first Melony wondered why he'd run off, then a young man came running out of the trees where Day had disappeared. He had wings the same ,or almost the same, as Day's. A puzzled frown crossed her face, it couldn't possibly be could it? Shakily she looked at him from head to toe, trying to figure out if her thoughts were true. "Day? Is that ... you?" Her words were a whisper, and Melony was sure that if she hadn't been hoping for something like this just a little she would have fainted with shock. She forgot about having to go back to the trampolines, and about getting her sword back. All she wanted to do was figure out what exactly was happening. Her legs trembled so badly that Melony had to sit down.

Day nodded. It had been along time since he had used this form and while movements had come back easily he wasn't sure about speech. "Sorry about the suprise." He went over to her when she sat and sat down in front of her. "I wanted to tell you that anytime you want to fly just to tell me. Ahanna will fly but she doesn't enjoy it as you do." After a moment he smiled at her hoping she wasn't upset by this change.

A blush started to form on Melony's face as she thought of all the things she'd said to him, and how she'd slept against his flank the night before. It was the strangest transition, everything took on a new perspective when she looked back on it knowing that Day could take on a humanoid form. "Sorry, I'm still surprised ... Kind of in shock really, but..." She paused and looked at Day with a smile. "I'm more glad then anything else! You know I'll end up pestering you to fly every day, I love it that much. Maybe next time you could take me higher? If you don't mind." Done speaking for the moment she reached a tentative hand out to touch Day's hair. It was just as soft and silky as it was in his pegasus form; Melony was glad it was so.

((It was so hard to find a guy with long white hair. All of the ones I found were all grumpy and mean looking. *sigh* So I'm going with him having white hair.))
Day noticed the blush but didn't say anything. He smiled back at her. "I'm glad you liked the flight. I would be glad to take you higher but we can't go too high this close to a town." He held still as she touched his hair. I'll have to tie it back in this form. It was so much easier in my other form. "I'm actually more suprised that your not upset about me keeping this from you. Or asking me questions." He looked around the clearing enjoying the view and finally settled back on Melony. Color is so much better.

The young woman laughed happily as she scooted over to sit beside him instead of in front. "How could I be upset when, I thought you only had the one form, and was wishing you had another. Didn't you hear what I said last night just before going to sleep? As for questions, just let me get used to this a little more, and I'll have plenty to ask! Like, were you born a pegauss with the ability to turn into this form, or was it the other way around? Which one do you prefer anyway? Does Ahanna know about this? " Melony surprised herself with all the questions, at least she knew that hadn't changed. She still felt like she could tell Day anything, without having to worry too much about the consequences. The blond woman felt the urge to lean against him, like she always did when Day was in his equine form , but she wasn't sure if he would mind it or not. She half leaned in to do, but stopped with uncertainty on her face.

Day was so happy that this was going so well. He laughed at the flood of questions that he had forced out. "Yes, I did hear you but I could have told you before. And take your time." He paused before answering. "I was born a pegasus. All pegasuses have the ability to take on human form after their twentith year or at least all of my family do. We just do not take this form often. I do not really know which I prefer. I have spent more time in the other form and I love flying. I do enjoy some things about this form, like color. No she doesn't. No one, other then family, know about this form."
He looked over at her when she started to lean against him. "And, other then combing my hair, and feeding me apples you can treat me the same as in the other form."

With a happy sigh Melony leaned in close to Day and put her arms around him to hug him tightly. "If only family knows, then why did you tell me?" She wanted to do something else, but Melony didn't feel like she'd known him nearly long enough. There was also the fact that she wasn't sure if he returned, or even knew, about her feelings at all. The young woman pressed herself as close as she could to the pegasus turned man, and breathed deeply to take in his scent. He still smelled the same too, fresh and airy, a little like hay. It was a comforting smell, that Melony was sure she would always associate with Day.

Day wrapped his arm around her and looked down at her. Well with all the changes I thought it was time. And I told you first because I like you. And you remind me of me. Everyone else here has someone. I might be part of Ahanna, Rythen, and Ash's group but we aren't that close. Everyone else has lovers, brothers, or sisters. Zalia has everyone and Cire simply scares me. The other hunters even have someone. And from what I've heard you don't have anyone outside of here. Do you have family?"

She wondered if he meant liking her the way she hoped he did, or if he simply liked her as a friend. When she felt Day put an arm around her, Melony stiffened a little automatically then relaxed into it with a smile. "My family? I have three sisters, all of them younger then I am. Then my mom and dad of course. They all think I travel around selling what I paint, which is true enough, but I hunt the supernaturals that... Well the ones that have murder on their minds, and want to hurt everyone. She looked up at the pegasus nervously before going on. "They have no idea, and I'd rather keep it that way otherwise they might think I'm crazy. What about you? What's your family like?" She wanted to know everything about Day, now that she could ask and receive answers from him. It was the most wonderful feeling, to know that he trusted her, liked her, enough to show her this other side of him that no one else had seen.

"I would find it very sad doing that. It is good though that you still have your family. I'd like to see some of your paintings sometime." He took a moment to think of the hunting part but she didn't kill innocents. "I understand not wanting to draw them into such a world." He paused thinking of his own family. "I... do not know what has happened to them. I left them one day do check on a grove and when I came back I found the forest we had lived in burnt down. I searched for them but found nothing. That was when I found Ahanna. I decided to travel with them. The hunters that had attacked their home had sat fire to their home and it had moved to the forest where I lived." After a moment he continued, "I gave up looking because I know they are dead. If they had survived the fire they would have gone to the grove for me but they didn't." This is a sad topic for a time that should be happy.

Melony pulled away from Day to look into his eyes with a sad expression on her face. "I'm sorry... Maybe I could paint you, or... Is there anything you'd like me to paint for you?" Reaching out, Melony felt like she would start crying at any moment. She wondered why anyone would do that, as she gently ran one hand repeatedly over Day's cheek in a what was supposed to be a soothing gesture. Leaning in she kissed his other cheek gently. "I hope you're proven wrong, that at least one of them survived."

''I don't have a healing ability to be selective, Casimir. Plus, I need to practice as I'm terribly bad with it. A small gash within a couple of minutes is very slow.'' She answered, standing in the opening of the tent, starting with the symbols for the barrier. Luckily barriers barely needed chanting, the fox used a bit more energy when talking and moving at the same time. In the end she needed to talk when human, and not when a pure fox, so it wasn't something she preferred.

Day smiled at her after a moment. "Don't be sorry. It isn't like you did it. You could if you wanted but I don't care. I like art but I don't have much use for it." He shurgged, "I spend most of my time in the other form and I can't really enjoy it then." He let her touch him and leaned into her kiss slightly. "While that might ease my burden it would be to mean to wish on them. We were all very close and I wouldn't wish one of them to be out there alone knowing the rest died." He looked away from her. "And it isn't like we were the only herd. There are many herds in hiding."

Emotions tumbled trough Melony has she listened to Day, even more so when he unexpectedly kissed her . Even though their conversation was serious she couldn't help the large smile that brightened her face. "Then I hope you find them someday, Day. No one should be ever be alone no matter the circumstances." With a little disappointed sigh she disentangled herself from the white haired man. "We should be going back now shouldn't we? The trampolines await, and I need to get my sword back from Kyle before he breaks it." Looking back to Day after pausing she smiled, a little disbelieving at the turn of events. "Do you think we could hang out again later today? I don't know if you need to practice your act with Ahanna nor not so..."
Casimir watched as Cire went about her task, wondering if he could put his earlier plan into action. His grumbling stomach interrupted his thoughts. "How long is it we need to take for the animals? I could maybe run off to the cafeteria, or the tent you use as one, to grab some food for us both.... Tough I know everyone would probably try to kill me the moment they saw me free from your care." It was a hard fact to admit, that he could not wander anywhere without Cire. That he could not roam freely as he was used to. He felt trapped and at the same time it wasn't quite so bad as he'd first thought it would be.

''I usually take about 2 hours, feel free to go to the cafetaria on your own. I'm sure they won't kill you as long as you won't kill them. Plus, you need to be free from my care as I'm sure hygiene, such as taking a bath when done taking care of animals, will ask for us to be separate.'' Cire answered, glad that she chose such a convenient spell. ''At the moment I'd be fine with anything as long as it's vegetarian.'' A smile played her lips, so ironic. A fox and her body wasn't able to digest meat. Then again, it held a sort of pride as well... ''Oh yes, I've got a sweettooth, if you could get me something sweet, that would be nice.'' She said, barely audible, not really knowing why she said that but it wasn't wrong, was it?
