Quen stretched briefly, comfortable in the early evening, and looked over at her. "Camping or is there a place to sleep around here?"

"Around here, camping should be fine," Margaret said. She knew that Professor Elm's lab had spare cots sometimes, but she didn't want to just drop in and ask for a place to stay. It was a nice night, anyways.

Quen nodded and found a nice spot, once again getting a little fire going and feeding his group while waiting for the water to heat up for his ramen.

Margaret let her group out, settling in for a while. They were right on the edge of a pond, so she let Starmie go swim for a while, and then she pulled out a package of hot dogs from her bag.

"Want one?" she asked Quen as she set a few to cook on sticks over the fire.

"Sure, thanks." Quen grinned. "Haven't had a hot dog in a while."

"Aleron put them into my bag," Margaret said. "No buns, unfortunately, since bread wouldn't have survived the Falls, but hey, we still have the hot dogs."

"Who needs buns?" Quen said with a grin. "Hot dogs are just fine on their own. Or in ramen. I can make some ramen for you if you want."

"Ramen for hot dogs?" Margaret asked. She grinned and shrugged. "Fair trade."

Quen grinned and put more water in the pot, waiting for it to heat up before he dumped the noodles in and then portioned it out into two bowls, handing one to her. "There you are."

"Thanks," Margaret said. Reaching over, she handed him a stick with two hot dogs on it. "Trade."

Quen grinned and nodded, starting to eat. Dinner was tasty and passed in companionable silence.

Once she was done, Margaret leaned back against Metagross with a sigh. "So where do we want to go first?" she asked. "I have all of the Johto badges, so it's up to you."

"Whatever's closest," Quen said with a shrug. "We got all the badges over in Kanto, so really I'm fine with just meandering over to all the gyms, so long as I do manage to get all the badges."

"How do you feel about flying-types, then?" Margaret said. "The closes gym to here is in Violet City, I think, and the gym there specialized in flying-types." She grinned. "The gym leader there is the one who gave me Natu."

Quen grinned. "Well that should be a fun battle," he agreed. "Sure, let's head there."

Margaret grinned and nodded.

"We'll head that way in the morning, then," she said.

Quen nodded, satisfied with that, and settled down after letting his team out.

"See, not so horrible, are we?" he teased.

Margaret turned a bit pink, eying his team.

"It's just... I don't know, something keeps telling me that dark-types are the ones to stay away from, but I mean, I know intellectually there's nothing wrong with them," she said.

Quen nodded. "Well, you are attuned to your psychic-types, so that probably doesn't help."

"If I did it right, we could win against a group of dark-types," Margaret admitted. "Secondary type-matching and all. But pures like Absol or Umbreon?" She shook her head. "I would need a Gallade or a Medicham for that, ideally."

"Yeah, that makes sense," Quen agreed. "But secondary types are amazing, even for me. We're not immune to everything."

"I love secondary type matching," Margaret said with a grin. "It lets me put Starmie against a Houndoom and win. Like I said, pures give me problems."

Quen nodded. "Yeah, I know how that goes." He shook his head a bit. "At least it's not a problem either of us commonly runs into in the wild."

"True," Maeve agreed. "I've run into a couple of pure dark-types, but not many. Kanto and Johto don't have a lot of native dark-types."

"Nope. Which will make it that much more fun to watch people when they realize I have a dark-based team." Quen grinned.
