Aleron laughed quietly and got comfortable, resting there for the time being. "I'm kinda hungry."

"I have some instant noodles in my bag," Andy said. "Supplies and such for on the road. Unless you wanted to get something from town..."

"Nah, instant noodles are fine with me," Aleron said with a little stretch. "I don't mind. Junk food is good for the soul."

Margaret grinned.

"That it is," she agreed.

Aleron got out a pot and glanced around for water, since she didn't have any on her.

Margaret blinked when she realized the problem.

"Want me to run into the pokemon center and see if I can't get some water?" she asked. It didn't occur to her that she now had a water-type pokemon.

"Um, sure," Aleron said. Then she paused for a moment.

"Wait a second. You have a Staryu now. I totally forgot."

Margaret blinked.

"Yes I do," she agreed. "Go ahead and ask, then. I don't mind if you try."

Aleron looked over at Staryu. "Would you mind giving us a bit of water?" She held up the pot.

Staryu seemed to consider for a moment before filling the pot with fresh water.

"Thank you," Aleron said with a smile. Vulpix got a little fire started for them, and Aleron put the water over to boil.

Staryu made an affirmative reply, and went to go relax in the shallow water.

Aleron just relaxed, waiting for the water to heat up sufficiently before she dumped in the noodles.

Margaret looked out over the water as it started to get dark. Soon, she started to see glimmers out under the surface.

"Look, you can see them glowing," she said, pointing. Even her own Staryu in the shallows was starting to glow.

"Hey, that is cool," Aleron said with a little grin. "Look, you can see a couple Starmies out there too."

"What?" Climbing up on a rock, Margaret looked out over the water. "That's not fair, where were they earlier?"

"Hiding out in deeper waters." Aleron grinned when she saw one of the Starmies blinking. "See? Way out there. You'd have been soaked if you went out there."

"True," Margaret replied. "Well, we'll see if my Staryu wants to evolve eventually. I have a water stone stashed away at home somewhere."

"That'll work too." Aleron chuckled as she slurped up her ramen.

Margaret started on her own noodles. Somehow, she liked the junk food more than usual. Aleron was right, it was good for the soul.

Aleron ate in silence before she settled down to rest for a little while. There were a ton of stars up in the sky, and all the Staryu and Starmie out in the sea were blinking and glowing. It was very peaceful.

"It's a nice night out," Margaret commented. She paused for a second. "It would be just our luck to be tripped over by another legendary."

"Don't say that," Aleron said with a little groan. "You're attracting them."

"Sorry!" Margaret squeaked. "I don't even know what made me say it!" She'd just gotten this... feeling, and she needed to say it. She didn't know why.

"If one of them shows up, I'm blaming you." But Aleron's lips twitched into a smile.
