Aleron chuckled as well and shook her head, watching the little pokemon. Vulpix was acting mother-ish twards him, which surprised her.

Margaret slowed down a bit once they were far enough away from the main roads.

"I doubt any other trainers will be out this far," she said. They were also far enough out that if they tripped over another legendary, nobody would know.

"Probably," Aleron agreed. She kept walking, though, just not as fast. She took her time looking around and watching Suicune and Vulpix.

Margaret relaxed gradually as they walked through the woods without anything happening. She kept an eye on Vulpix and Suicune, as well.

Aleron just kept walking at a leisurely pace, watching everything around them. It was quiet and peaceful, something she liked.

"How sad is it that I'm not entirely sure what to do with such a peaceful walk?" Margaret joked. "In the week I've been in Johto, we've barely had any peace and quiet like this."

"Yeah, I know the feeling," Aleron said with a chuckle. "I figure since it's nice and quiet we can just walk for a while, wait to see what happens. Let's not tempt fate or anything."

"Not that fate needs any more tempting," Margaret replied, grinning a bit.

"Most definitely not," Aleron agreed with a brief shiver. She could just imagine how bad things could get if they really were tempting fate.

"You want to stop and rest for a bit? I could use a snack, since we skipped breakfast, and I'm sure those two wouldn't mind a little break to walk around and investigate and smell things." She couldn't help but smile at the little Suicune.

"A break sounds great," Margaret replied. Aleron was right, they'd missed breakfast, and relaxing for a while sounded nice.

Aleron nodded and set down her stuff, sitting down and relaxing with a little sigh. She'd have to see what she could find to eat.

Margaret sat down as well with a little sigh. Opening her bag, she rummaged through it for a moment before pulling out a couple of granola bars. She held one out to Aleron.

"Thanks," Aleron said, taking one of the bars and munching on it quietly.

"So where to from here?"

"I have no idea," Margaret replied as she nibbled on her own granola bar. "I would say we should try to find the parent Suicune, but that could take ages. It could be anywhere in the region."

"Yeah, I know. It doesn't help that Suicune doesn't like to stay in one place, and doesn't seem to have a home base." Aleron made a face. "This is minorly annoying."

"Things would be so much easier if the three of them like talked to one another or something," Margaret replied. "We could just climb Sprout Tower again and be done with it."

"I know." Aleron scowled a little. "Well, on the up side, we get the cute little baby with us for a little longer."

"This is true," Margaret replied. She glanced over at the little Suicune, who was wandering around the area curiously. "It really is adorable."

"Yup." Aleron chuckled and shook her head as Vulpix trotted after him to keep him from going too far. "I think she's turning into a mother now."

"I think it's kind of sweet," Margaret replied. "Besides, wouldn't it be a little easier for her to look after him than us?"

"Oh, definitely," Aleron agreed. "And it is sweet. Not to mention it makes our lives easier."

Margaret stretched and leaned back a bit. She grinned.

"You know, it would be just our luck that we'll give him back to his parent, and then eventually run across him again once he's grown and he'll either pounce on us, or just roll his eyes and keep going."

Aleron snorted. "Yeah, that sounds about right." She shook her head, just watching the two.

Margaret grinned as she watched them, but her expression vanished when she heard a howl in the woods. It didn't sound all that far away. Almost immediately, the little Suicune lifted his head and howled back.

Aleron shivered briefly. "Well, so much for spending time with him," she muttered, watching the woods around them warily. So when the adult Suicune stepped out of the trees, she wasn't too surprised.

The adult immediately went over to the little one, sniffing him and checking him over, all while keeping a suspicious gaze on the trainers. Aleron didn't dare move.
