Mewtwo looked at Mew for a few more moments before it teleported both of them back over to the girls and put Mew back by Margaret.

Margaret couldn't help but grin at that.

"It likes you," she teased. She paused and blinked a bit when she really looked at the pair. Maybe the cloning experiment wasn't quite so far off as they originally thought.

Mewtwo managed to shake it off and into Margaret's lap again. Because, yeah, he didn't deal with baby pokemon. Especially not such cheerful ones.

"Why are you giving it back to me?" Margaret asked as the little Mew was dumped in her lap. "It went to you."

It already claimed you, Mewtwo said with a shrug before vanishing again. Hopefully Mew would stay for a bit.

"Claimed?" Margaret repeated even as Mew snuggled her. She looked around helplessly, and then glanced at Aleron. "How are we going to get anywhere with a legendary following us around? I can't exactly catch it, I'm already training one baby and it's just the least bit conspicuous."

Aleron shrugged. "I don't think you catch Legendaries anyway. Maybe we can keep it from following us all the time, like in cities and such?"

"And leave it alone?" Margaret pointed out. She shook her head. "That's asking for trouble."

"You have any better ideas?" Aleron raised her eyebrows.

"Not at the moment," Margaret replied. She sighed slightly. "I would leave someone with my parents and take Mew with us, but I don't trust them. Not right now. And I doubt it's a good idea to leave anyone with your parents, either." She bit her lip, thinking hard for a solution.

"No, not with my parents." Aleron sighed, wracking her brain. Then she paused.

"Hey. Maybe we could just ask the Professor? I mean, my family talks to him all the time so he knows me pretty well by now."

"Professor Oak?" Margaret asked. She nodded a bit, thinking. "I've met him once or twice through my parents. You think he can help?"

"Maybe. If anyone could, it would be him. He has a whole bunch of pokemon there, and he can take care of it for us, for a little while at least."

"It's the best idea we've had so far," Margaret allowed. "He's in Pallet Town, right? That's on the other side of the region from here."

"That's okay. Maybe we can get Mewtwo to help, or we'll just stay off the roads while we go." Aleron shrugged. She was trying to be calm about this whole thing, really. Because someone needed to be.

"We'll see," Margaret said. It was plausible, at any rate. "Maybe if we had someone use Fly to get us there?"

"That could work too," Aleron agreed after a moment. "So really either way works."

"Flying might be the best way for now," Margaret mused. She glanced at Mew, who was happily giggling and playing with Natu. "Less of a chance of being spotted that way, I think."

Aleron nodded. "Alright. Well, let's get our things together first, and then we can get going."

Margaret nodded and started to gather her things. It didn't take long, since she didn't have much unpacked anyways, and she waited for Aleron to give the word to leave.

Aleron finished packing up her things and nodded to show she was ready to go.

The flight to Pallet town was long and uneventful. Pallet town itself was also uneventful, at least to Margaret. She was used to cities, not quiet little towns. At least it was easy enough to find the Professor's lab in town. It had a street all to itself.

Aleron led the way to the lab, entering first and going to find Professor Oak.

"Professor?" she called, looking around.

"Back here! Ouch!" Professor Oak was in the back with some of the pokemon, one of whom was rowdy. "Oh, Aleron! It's good to see you again!"

"You too Professor." Aleron just grinned.

Margaret looked around as Aleron talked to the professor. She'd never been to this kind of lab before; it was much more open and inviting than anything she'd seen in Silph Co.

"We have a favor to ask." Aleron moved over to him and motioned Margaret forward. "We need you to look after a pokemon for us. But you can't tell anyone about it."

"Oh?" Professor Oak sounded intrigued now.
