Margaret reached for the blue one and flinched when it lit up just before she touched it. When the light died down and didn't react when she touched it, she cautiously picked it up and put it into her bag. "You want the green one or should I?"

"Sure, I'll take the green one. For the moment at least. Not like they're real heavy, which is good." Aleron picked up the other orb as well.

"So, back down the mountain now? We might be able to make it to the Cave by tomorrow afternoon if we leave now."

"Yeah, back down the mountain," Margaret replied. She wanted off that mountain as soon as possible so she wouldn't have to deal with the ghost-types.

Aleron nodded, all too happy to get down off the mountain as well. And even happier when they didn't run into any ghost-types.

Letting out a sigh, she started walking again, shifting her bag to make everything sit more comfortably. "Well, now we walk for a while."

"Towards Lilycove City," Margaret said, checking the map on her gear. "I think from there we can go south to Sootopolis City, and the Cave of Origin should be there." She looked sympathetically at her friend. "It'll be a lot of Surfing, I think."

Aleron made a face. Really, the water wouldn't bother her so much if she knew that Gyarados would behave. But she didn't know that, and so she was worried. Very very worried.

Margaret knew what the face was for, and almost offered up the use of Starmie, but the water-type wouldn't be able to tow two trainers with it. It just wasn't big enough.

"I'll be alright," she said sympathetically. "We have Jolteon and Starmie to keep him in line if we need do."

"Yeah. Luckily." Aleron heaved a sigh. "Okay, let's get this over with. The faster we get there, the sooner this'll be done." Although she was curious to see what the orbs would do once they were in the Cave.

Margaret nodded and started walking in the direction of Lilycove City. With luck, they could make it there before dark and get to the pokemon center for the night.

Aleron was a bit surprised when they made it to Lilycove, although they got there just after dark. The nurse there was kind enough to let them in for the night, and Aleron grinned gratefully as she sank onto a cot.

Margaret sighed softly as she flopped over onto a cot herself, almost before she got her bag off her back.

"This place feels like a cross between Celadon and Vermilion," she commented, rolling onto her back. "Like what Celadon would be if it was near the ocean. It's that kind of familiar."

"Yeah." Aleron smiled a little. "It's nice, though. It doesn't feel totally foreign, even if there are new pokemon running around."

"Yeah," Margaret replied, grinning. "But I swear I saw some familiar ones, too. I know I saw a Heracross in a tree, and I think there may have been Vulpixes on the mountain."

"It wouldn't surprise me, actually. I mean, with how easy it is to travel now I'm sure people bring pokemon over, and then you get a few accidental eggs and next thing you know there are some in the wild." Aleron shrugged. She'd seen it happen before. Because she was still sure that at least one Eevee egg had hatched and escaped to the wild when she was younger.

"Still, it's kind of comforting there are things here we know how to deal with," Margaret replied. She snickered. "Although if we run into too many Tentacool, all bets are off."

"If we run into more than four or five I'm just going to have Jolteon blast them all," Aleron grumbled. "Just Thundershock the whole damn lake."

"Can't do that to the whole ocean, though," Margaret pointed out teasingly. "And they're more likely in the ocean. Magikarps tend to be in lakes."

Aleron rolled her eyes and muttered something but otherwise didn't complain. She could deal with that when the time came.

"Oh well. At least we'll be to the Cave by tomorrow. And then will be the real test to see if Gyarados behaves."

"One good Thunderpunch or Zap Cannon will make him behave," Margaret replied with a bit of a grin. "Or a Thundershock or something. Gyarados are half flying and half water, so anything electric is crazy effective."

"Oh I know. Trust me, this is one of those times I'm really glad I have Jolteon." Aleron shook her head a little. At least she could make Gyarados sort of behave. But she'd still prefer it if the pokemon decided to behave as opposed to being enticed to. Or forced to.

"He'll probably mellow out eventually," Margaret said. It didn't take a genius to figure out what Aleron was thinking. Maybe a psychic, but not a genius. "As much as Gyarados do, anyways."

Aleron nodded. "I look forward to the day he listens," she grumbled. "Hopefully it'll be soon. Once he listens it'll be easier to deal with his temper." Because Gyarados never lost their tempers, not really, but she could deal with temper tantrums.

"I'm sure it'll be soon," Margaret agreed. "For the moment, we'll just get to Sootopolis as soon as possible tomorrow."

Aleron nodded her agreement and stretched briefly. "Alright, I think it's about time for me to head to sleep now. Especially if we're going swimming tomorrow."

Margaret nodded and settled in herself.

"Night," she said.
