"Think he'll let me use a TM on him?" Margaret asked. "I'm fairly sure Gyarados can learn Ice Beam or Blizzard."

"Yeah, he'll let you. He might grumble about it, but he grumbles about everything." Aleron shrugged. "Don't worry about that, he'll behave."

"Cool," Margaret replied. "I'll let you know when I get to Blackthorn, then. For now, I want to get to Cianwood to sweep the fighting-type gym." She smirked. "Easiest badge ever."

Aleron snickered. "Oh yeah. That won't be a problem for you." She grinned.

"Well, I'll be sure to let you know if anything esle exciting happens around here, and those three little psychic-types will be there shortly, I bet."

"Alright, I'll keep an eye out," Margaret replied. "You go have fun with the babies, I'll probably check in within the next couple days."

"Alright. Be safe." Aleron smiled and hung up, going to go separate Suicune from the two newborns, herding the two into Rapidash's care. At least some of the pokemon were cooperative.

Margaret hung up and put the Celebi egg into her bag, settling it on her shoulders and setting off through the forest. Indeed, the three legendaries caught up to her between Goldenrod and Ecruteak, and she had to convince them that no, they couldn't follow her through the cities and no, even without the Celebi egg, all three of them couldn't fit into her bag to hide like Mew did. It ended up being an interesting conversation.

Aleron ended up spending most of the day outside teaching the newborns how things worked around their little ranch and then just spending time with them getting them used to her. And since Ho-oh and Suicune decided they didn't like sharing her, it was a very interesting day.

Margaret spent a while wandering around, taking a ferry out to Cianwood to challenge the gym and then coming back to take on the Olivine Gym as well. She checked in with Aleron every couple of days, even on the ferry, and finally managed to make her way to Blackthorn.

Aleron just kept track of everything around the farm, although when Mewtwo dropped off a little Ralts for Margaret she just kind of pushed the little one over to Noctowl. They could stick together until Margaret came back to interpret for the little one.

Once Margaret was in the Blackthorn pokemon center for the night, she used the proper video phone to call Aleron.

"One more gym left, then I'm on my way back," she said.

"Oh good. Mewtwo left something for you." Aleron turned the vid screen around to show the little Ralts, which was busy cuddling with Noctowl. "I figured that would be good enough for now. And clearly he didn't leave it for me, since it's a psychic type. Makes me wonder why, though. They haven't done this before."

"A Ralts?" Margaret asked, curious. "Ralts are uncommon, sure, even rare in places, but they aren't legendary by any means. They're practically the Abra of Hoenn." Which raised the question of why a little one was left for her. And it was a little one; it looked like it was barely outside the egg. "Well, one more badge and then I'll be home to see what's going on with it. Noctowl can look after it until then."

"Yeah, I figured. Hey, you want Gyarados for this gym battle? We can switch and I can look after Natu or one of your others for a little while if you'd like." Aleron shrugged.

"Sure," Margaret replied. "Natu isn't strong enough to face down a firing line of dragons, anyways, so I wasn't going to use her."

"Alright. Well, I think there's some sort of trading option on this thing... These are supposed to be pretty much top of the line," Aleron grumbled, looking at the gear. "Start looking and see if you see something like "trade options" or something."

Margaret poked around on the touch screen for a moment before stumbling across the trade options display.

"Found it," she said. She pulled Natu's pokeball off her belt and hit the button, returning it to full size. "Ready when you are."

Aleron returned Gyarados to his pokeball and held it over the screen. "Okay, I'm ready." She pressed the button on her side and watched as Gyarados's ball vanished, replaced a few moments later by Natu's ball.

"Well. That was easy."

Margaret picked up Gyarados' ball and put it on her belt.

"All set over here, then," she said. "If you want to work with Natu a bit, feel free. At the moment, she knows Uproar, Peck, Nightshade, and Confusion. What all does Gyarados know? So I know what not to replace with an ice-type move."

"Surf, Dive, Strength, and Hyper Beam. I can always reteach him Strength or Dive, so one of those will be fine." Aleron shrugged and let Natu out when Vulpix trotted over.

Margaret snorted.

"You made a shiny Gyarados an HM slave?" she asked, using the trainer's slang for the one pokemon every trainer had that was taught multiple HMs that a trainer couldn't go without. "I'll replace Dive, then, to keep the set balanced. Hyper Beam is a bad move to replace, and Strength could be useful."

"Yup. For the moment, at least. We'll see if I get another pokemon I can teach some of these moves to instead." Aleron grinned.

"Work with Torchic," Margaret suggested. "Can't Blazikens learn Strength?" She could have sworn she'd heard that somewhere.

"Yup. They can. Once he evolves enough I'll do that. Gyarados is really the only one that can learn the water type HMs, so unless I go get another water pokemon or two he's stuck." Aleron grinned. Clearly she felt no remorse over that at all.

"So do you want me to replace Strength instead?" Margaret asked. "Leave Surf and Dive alone?"
