"Sure," Trent replied. He didn't mind camping.

Margaret glanced at Aleron. The legendaries all probably knew there were visitors, by now, and it would be tricky keeping them from investigating.

Aleron grimaced but shrugged. What could they do to run the two off now? They didn't seem bad, certainly, and there was no real reason to tell them to skedadle.

"The Falls aren't far," Margaret said, looking at the guys. "But it's best to stop for the night around here. High-levels come out sometimes, and you don't want them sneaking up on you in the dark."

Trent looked at his brother. The reasoning seemed sound, but something was off. Why didn't the girls want them to stay around the farm?

"Have any extra cots?" Quen asked hopefully, just to see how they'd react.

"No, sorry. We're not prepared for multiple visitors." Aleron glanced between the two of them. "Really, you're best off by the road."

"Not even floor space?" Trent added. "Really, we're not picky about shelter." If they were refused again, then he would be sure something was up. Not that they could do anything about it, but still.

"The house isn't very big, and we're already hosting Professor Oak. There's really not room for anyone else, especially not after you factor in the pokemon that sleep inside." Which wasn't a lie, exactly. Just half the pokemon that slept inside were legendaries.

"I see," Trent said. Something still seemed fishy, but there was nothing he could do about it. He nodded to his brother. "We may as well find a spot to camp, then."

"Yeah. Maybe we'll see you on the way back through." Quen nodded to both girls and started walking back towards the road, though he was definitely still curious.

So when he saw the little Suicune run over to Aleron, clearly wanting to play, it gave him pause. That was not a pokemon he recognized.

Trent saw it as well, and blinked. Even though it was a little ways away, he could still hear it begging Aleron to play. He could hear it clearly.

"Huh," he said. "A water-type. Or partially, at least. Wonder what it is."

"I dunno. It doesn't look like anything I've seen before." Quen shrugged. "Maybe a rare native to this region?" He was tempted to go take a look, but Aleron herded the little one back to the back area so they could play.

"We can look it up when we get through the Falls, I suppose," Trent said. He stretched a bit and glanced at his brother. "So what did you and the other girl talk about while you both were all by your lonesome?" He grinned a bit, teasing.

Quen rolled his eyes. "We didn't. She and her Espeon just stared at me like I was about to release all my pokemon and start a full attack on the house, or something."

Trent snorted. He couldn't help it.

"Wow," he said. "She must not have been kidding when she said dark-types freak her out. Espeons are pure-psychic-types, aren't they? So they have no defense against dark-types at all." He hummed thoughtfully for a moment. "I wonder if she has any half-types to compensate? She must, with the Noctowl, but I wonder how many more."

"I dunno." Quen shrugged. "But she wasn't comfortable at all." Of course, that didn't stop him from being curious still.

Trent shrugged.

"The other girl has a shiny," he offered. "That Gyarados of hers. He's red. He's got the same temper that all Gyarados do, but he seems like he's a lot of bluster. Probably trying to make himself seem worse because of his coloring. But it's interesting." He looked thoughtful. "A Jolteon, a Gyarados... Makes me wonder if she really is that close to fire-types."

Quen shrugged. "People catch off-types to help balance their teams," he pointed out. "Hell, we both have part-types to help us out. There aren't that many part-fire types, not really. Maybe this is how she compensates."

"Maybe," Trent mused. He grinned. "Blastoise sparred with the Gyarados for a while. Seemed like he was having fun getting gnawed on for a bit, till he got fed up with it and hit the thing in the face with his cannons."

Quen snickered. "He probably enjoyed that far too much," he said with a grin. "I swear, he's a terror. You just don't know it yet."

"Who, Blastoise?" Trent asked. He grinned and shook his head. "Never. He's m'buddy." He nudged his brother. "I could say the same thing about your Spiritomb."

"Spiritomb is not a terror. He just likes to see what he can get away with." Quen grinned and found a nice spot for them to settle down for the night.

And if it was directly above the ranch so they didn't have to go far to see what was going on down there, well, maybe he was more curious than he was willing to admit.

"Same difference," Trent shrugged. When his brother stopped, he glanced around. The spot seemed okay... Even better, there seemed to be a little spring-fed pool right there, so he would be able to let his pokemon out for the night.

And he didn't miss the fact that the spot overlooked the ranch.

Quen settled down, letting his bunch out for the night too. Spiritomb floated straight over to Trent, staring at him. Quen just snickered and let Absol settle down by his feet while Sharpedo got used to the new water.

Trent stared back for a moment or two before turning to let his own pokemon out. Lady grumbled and stretched as she got into the water alongside Duchess, his Kingdra. Blastoise settled down next to the pool, while Wooper and Lombre got comfortable in the water with the other two. Poliwrath just settled near Blastoise.

"Hey, guy," he greeted the Sharpedo as he made sure the pokemon were all settled.

Murkrow settled in next to Absol, while Sneasel plopped himself by Lombre and Wooper, although not actually in the water. Mightyena yawned and stretched before picking his own spot on the other side of Quen's little spot. Sharpedo grumbled up at Trent, greeting him in return, before moving off to go bother Lady and Duchess. Quen snorted.

"Good thing he's not reckless or arrogant or anything."

Trent snorted as well.

"Not my problem if he gets chewed on," he disclaimed.
