Name: Terrian Bell
Age: Appears to be around sixteen
Appearance:
Kitten form

Ristia pet shop was the only pet shop within a ten mile radius of town, which meant it was almost always busy. And today was no different. The only difference was there was a small crowd infront of the kitten area. It seemed they had gotten a new kitten the previous night.

The kitten was black with emerald green eyes. And all it seemed to be doing was pacing the cage, meowing forlornly. Every time someone tried to touch it, however, it hissed and tried to bite the person. Which made it a bit harder to sell it. Normally the kitten would have been sold by now.

It seemed like the kitten was either waiting for someone, or wanted to be bought by a specific person...

Alinor had decided to stop at Ristia pet store to see if they had a new shipment of rats in. She'd been keeping the small creatures since she was little, and her last rat had died a few months before.

She paused when she saw the crowd around the kitten's cage, and she went over to go investigate. The young woman, just barely twenty, raised her eyebrows at the little black kitten.

"I'm surprised it's still here," she said, more to herself than anything.

"It tries to bite anyone who tries to touch it," one woman near her said in a confidential tone. "But it's so cute..."

Rolling her gray eyes, Alinor moved over to the kitten's cage, examined it for a few moments, and then looked it directly in the eyes. A truly aggressive cat would puff up at the dominance display and try to attack her. An agitated or scared cat would simply try to back away. Or a cat who just hadn't found a smart enough person yet might react differently. Now to see what this kitten did.

The kitten's eyes seemed to lock right on Alinor. One paw reached out to bat at her hand, testingly. Most of the people before would have backed up, or squealed at the cuteness. This kitten didn't seem to care about how cute it was. The kitten made sure not to break skin. It seemed curious, and surprised that she hadn't instantly tried to pick it up, or had someone else try to pick it up. It's ears were flat against it's head, showing that part of the issue was fear. It was locked in a cage with people staring at a touching it, so what could one expect? After a moment, it padded forward an inch and sniffed at her hand before looking back up at her.

(I keep picturing her going to bed with him as a kitten and waking up with him not kitten-y. XD)

Alinor smiled. "Hey there, little one," she murmured. "Scary place, huh? Don't worry, I won't hurt you." She extended one finger to let the kitten sniff and inspect to his heart's content. She had the feeling this one would require special handling, and she took in animals like that from time to time.

Turning to a handler, she said softly, "I'd like to use your back room to get to know this kitten a little better."

The handler carefully picked the kitten up. The kitten just hissed slightly, not liking the contact. The handler just frowned and lead Alinor to the back room and set the kitten down gently.

The kitten just curled up, glad to be out of the cage and away from all the staring. It stretched out, yawing.

Alinor looked down at the kitten before she sat down, stretching her legs out in front of her. "Well, this is better. Quieter." She yawned briefly. "I can't believe women. I mean, we always say men can be bad, but women? We go ga-ga at any cute, fuzzy animal."

Still muttering to herself about the failings of her gender, she looked over at the kitten to see if he was feeling better yet.
