I don't know Japanese, but Chinese (Mandarin, to be specific, as I wouldn't know one end of Cantonese/Taiwanese/etc to the other...) is pretty much my native tongue, so...

Ugh, I don't miss moving. xD
I have to move like 3 times a year or something due to my Co-op. I'll be in like 3 different states at least once a year. UGH.
And I can never remember people's previous names. xD Sweet.
And It's also been too long since I've visited China... I've been gradually losing my fluency!!

lol, I don't either. :XD It's always hell trying to cram everything into my bags and cleaning the stuff and then carrying everything and stuffing them into the car...not to mention the long drive...
...Though the drives were probably not anywhere near as long as it would've been had I been living in the states, considering how small our island is. A trip usually takes around three to four hours.
Hehe, no need to remember my previous names, just call me whatever you feel sticks. :XD

Because they took a lot of strokes out from the traditional Chinese, or altered how a character was written. I grew up learning traditional Chinese, so simplified Chinese, written all different from their traditional counterparts, make them very difficult for me to read. It's pretty much like learning completely new characters. And there are enough traditional Chinese characters out there already without needing to add simplified Chinese characters into the batch as well.

Hmm. Kind of reminds me of Japanese. :XD When they just kept adding on the Chinese readings for Kanji in addition to their own readings/meanings. :gonk:

Someone (preferably someone active) should go and change their username to Protagonist so I'd have someone to be a proper Antagonist to! o 3o

Yeaaaah. Confusing languages. One character could have several different pronunciations, not to mention all the different meanings they could have...

@Nim-san: My friend knows a good bit of French and she says she wants to study it more; so ... I'll have her if I ever want to seriously try and study French. I want to learn German too. Blargh. Too many languages.

UGH, driving. /rage/
I just call people by whatever is floating above their heads. Or shorten it down to ~3 letters.
AND UGH, traditional! I juuuuust barely learned some simplified chinese. Traditional has SO MANY STROKES. Ugh. Chinese, why you so difficult?
And then my boyfriend tried teaching me Canto and my throat and tongue are not that talented to make the noises they make....

I'm just glad I didn't have to do the driving.
I probably wouldn't be able to pronounce Cantonese either...it's bad enough with Taiwanese. :XD;; According to a friend, I keep getting the enunciations wrong.
And UGH, so tired right now, I feel like I'll just faint somewhere and crack my head open on a wall or something. :headdesk:
