Wow! That looks awesome, we usually just stick the seeds into pots of dirt and water them and then leave them outside on the balcony. :XD;; I really like the one inside the half a plastic bottle though, that looks so cute. :XD
Hmm...it's possible that the ones we planted were expired or something. I know we usually don't plant them immediately after buying the package, and who knows how long the packages had been sitting in the store before we got them...:XD
No, it's my usual chibi-style. :sweat: Chibis have rounder chins and large doe eyes anyway, so I didn't have to change that. :XD It's the more 'serious' type that I'm working on. I could upload the one I succeeded in, but it's Traffy-fanart.
|
Hahah. Really?? I actually don't mind them too much. There's one instance where the move reminds me of a damn horror, but it's not too bad.
Lmao! Yeah. There's a clear plastic piece that goes on top to help keep their environment warm and humid. My other little seeds that have sprouted are now too tall for the thing, but I feel like they need to stay in it some more. D:
That plastic bottle thing is neat though. xDD Maybe I'll stick the top of a plastic bottle over them.
Aah. I don't know when they usually expire... I just know there can be some duds! :lol:
Ooh okay. Been a long while since you've shown art.
Yus, show it! :yes:

I used to like watching horror movies so much, now, not so much. :XD;;
Maybe you could put them all under plastic bottles? :XD
Maybe we should try the keep-a-cover-over-them method next time...I don't think we did that, mostly we just dump them into a small container and pour water into it, wait for it to sprout, before moving them into a pot. :sweat: My dad was doing that the other day with a bunch of orange seeds...
Yeah...haven't been doing much drawing lately, and they mostly failed so I shredded them all while at work. :XD
Traffy~ :ninja:

The eyes are still a little too large, so I'm still working on that. It's so hard for me to shrink them for some reason! :XD;;

Lmao. What happened? :O
Yeah I think I might. xD For the little ones anyway. The pumpkin sprouts need to ... go... outside or something. Last night they were both standing upright, but this morning one them was keeled over. D: I think it's a combination of being heavy and not having much support and wanting to get some sun. :lol: All the seedlings had a little curve to them because of the sunlight.
There's another way you could do that's supposed to help get them started. It involves a paper towel and a ziploc bag.
Here we go: Germinating Seeds with Paper Towels & Ziploc Bags - Planted Space
Omg, you shredded them?! XDDD Well, that's better than hoarding, I suppose~
Hmmm... I think it looks fine. P: Seems obvious that it's a man, but I wonder if the goatee is playing a big part in that. :lol:
Show it with the small eyes once you get there.

My heart isn't as strong as it used to be, I suppose. :XD And they'd probably make me have a harder time falling asleep at night too, my overactive imagination can draw up some pretty vivid scary images. :gonk: I don't mind monsters though. It's just the ghosts and spirits and zombies that freak me out.
Oh, yeah, they probably need more sunlight. :lol: I remember reading somewhere about a farmer who had to turn his prize pumpkin over to a different angle every day so it would have the perfect shape. It ended up winning first place in a pumpkin contest I think.
Oooh, neat. :eager: I don't think we have many ziplock bags though...hmm...would a plastic bag work? :ninja:
I don't like keeping failed drawings around. :lol: I threw out a whole bunch of them while cleaning out my room the other day. :XD
Hahaha, yeah, that's what I thought too. Here's how he'd look without the goatee:
http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...e/ShavedXD.png
I think the eyes helped too. I usually line the upper half of my eyes a bit thicker, giving them a more 'lidded' look, so they end up looking like they have eyeliner on or something...:sweat:

Awww. You're like meeee! :lol: Nah, nothing in there should be too bad. Funny how science can take the fear out of things sometimes.
Wow. :O That's dedication! I just want to put them outside so they can grow up instead of sideways, lmao.
XDD!!! I'm not suuure, unless they're clear bags. You might have to do the plastic bottle. xDD
Well, yay for cleaning! \ o / I'm going through one of my sketchbooks and re-using the pages that have crappy drawings on them. It's like ... recycling. >> Except not really.
Hmm. Yeah it doesn't look too bad. I think I see what you mean about it all being rounded. P:

lol! Yeah, I think it has to do with the way they explain things to make it seem logical, so you'd think, "Oh, as long as the conditions don't meet I'll be okay, so I don't have to worry! :D", as opposed to ghosts that don't have an explanation and would thus have people thinking it could show up any moment...
Yeah :XD I wouldn't be able to do that...I'd probably flip it every day for like a week before I forget about it until it's too late. :XD
Urp, yeah, I suppose so. :( Don't have many clear plastic bags...nor plastic bottles, for that matter. :sweat: We do have a ton of empty plastic milk bottles though. :lol: (but they're all white and not see-through)
I usually prefer starting over once I've deemed a picture a 'fail' :XD Mostly because it's almost impossible to draw over the old lines. :sweat:
Yeeah...my chins used to be so pointy. Just look at the Nalin I'd submitted for the art contest last event. Pointy chin, thick eyelashes...urgh. :headdesk:
Eyelashes that have been brushed. Multiple times. :XD

@Nim-san: Hahaha yeah. That's why I don't mind Resident Evil so much.
I put them in bigger pots outside today. I hope they surviiiive. o 3o
The pumpkin sprouts are all exposed, but the dill sprouts were looking kind of pitiful; so I got some water bottles, cut them in half, and stuck them over the sprouts.
Hmm.. maybe you could make a kind of.. teepee with some sticks then drape some plastic wrap over it. xDD
Hahah, I think I just give up altogether if the drawing is going horribly from the sketching stage. Are you heavy handed when sketching? o wo
Pfft, that's just your style. Takes some time and effort to change. :yes: Speaking of, I meant to sketch over your drawing of Trafalgar and see if I could make it... see what I could do with it.

XD!!! Make sure you still have a pot or somewhere for the sprouts to go though! I think I'm going to do that with some cherry tomatoes we have. I've done it plenty of times before, but having no where to move the seedlings too makes it pointless. xP

...Zombies being the exception. No matter how logical their explanations are and how I know they're pretty much impossible, they still freak me out. :gonk:
Oooh, I hope it survives too! :eager: Can't wait to see when it grows to be as large as your head...er, if it grows to be that large. :XD;;
Haha, it'd probably be blown away with the winds here...unless it's indoors, but then it wouldn't get enough sunshine. :headdesk: Plastic bottles should work better. I'll just have to start looking for them. :XD
I used to, but now I keep the lines light until I'm done, and then I press down hard to make a sort of 'lineart', so it'll be more visible after I take a picture of it with my cellphone. Makes it a lot easier to edit on Photoshop. :XD
lol Sure, have fun with him. :XD
I'm almost done with Eustass, was up to about half past three last night working on it and continued this morning, though I didn't manage to finish it before I had to leave for work. And his accessories totally made me want to whack him, despite the drawing being chibi already. :gonk:

Lmao, are you saying I have a big head? :gonk: I ran out of soil too; so when payday rolls around I need to get more and replant the pepper. Well... if it survives. One of the pepper sprouts that was doing well is all pitiful looking now. :c
Good luck! :D Just get a bottle of water one day or something. :lol:
Ah, that's good then. I used to sketch so hard.. Poor paper.. :XD
Here's what I have for my face style for your picture: Clicky
Err.. and coloring too because it was good coloring practice I guess, but that's less important.. XD

Yeah, a lot of the times after the seed sprouts they just wilt down and die after a few days despite all the fertilizer and soil and water. :(
Yeah...I'd sketch really hard, erase really hard, and in the end end up rubbing a hole through the paper. :sweat: Learned to draw lighter after a few times of that. :XD;;

I knooow. It's sad! :c Live little seedlings, liiive! :illgetu:
Haha, I didn't learn for a whiiile. It's funny, the phases I've gone through. I used to be super sketchy, then a friend told me to ease up on it. Then I became not sketchy at all and just worked with single lines from scratch. Now I'm getting back into sketching. Trying to find a good equalness to it. The drawing I did in your sig started out as sketchy. 8D
Thanks! 8D
When I was doing the lines, I didn't realize that I was on a dark blue instead of black.. xDDD

Haha, body sizes vary a lot more...I could use a few extra inches to my height. :XD
I think most people start out with sketchy-ness? :O I dunno, I used to be like that too...I'd scratch out a shape instead of just using a single line. I'm better with a pencil now at drawing simple lines, but I still scratch a lot when using Photoshop thanks to my shaky hand and mouse. :XD Good thing it's a lot easier to erase things on a computer than with a real life eraser...
lol! Aww, thank you :hug: I'll be trying to master Eustass next, his hair is killing me, even more than his accessories (giant mechanic arm while in magnetic battle form not withstanding). The thing I tend to mess up most is that I often color/draw on the wrong layer. :sweat: And then when I need to edit something, it becomes a huge pain in the ass. :headdesk:
