Well...that might work on older kids. But for those firsties to fourth graders...no. They'll just stare at you blankly until you repeat yourself in Chinese. XD;

Yeah in like 3 hours is when most people come online before work.

I usually don't get to get online before work because I'm always in a rush. xD But then again I can get on Mene while at work so I don't mind much. :) If anything, it ensures that I get like eight hours to spend on Mene every day if I want to. XDDD

is it weird to be on an english site when you speak a different language?

Yeah, it's good for my stress levels though since I don't do too well constantly working. xD I do better if I get little breaks in between projects. ^^;;

Hmm...not really. I've been on mostly English websites since my second year in junior high. At first I went to Chinese websites, but they annoyed me with all their 'Martian' talk (kinda like 1337 or chat speak on English websites), so I was like, 'Fuck this' and went looking for English websites instead. Discovered the existence of forums, joined, and found that it was awesome, and have stuck to forums ever since. xD While 1337 and chat speak also annoy me, they don't annoy me as much as Martian-speak, and after a while I just got used to visiting websites in English. :)

It certainly helped with keeping my English proficiency up, even if my grammar is still horrible. xD;;

Yeah, the people here call it '火星文' since it's like alien speech to those who are not familiar with it.

Are chinese computers different from other computers?

Not really. We just have other characters aside from the English ones also printed on our keyboards, for typing. :3

After so many years, I don't have to look at the keyboard anymore for typing in English, though sometimes I still have to look when typing in Chinese. I don't spend enough time on Chinese websites so I rarely have to type in Chinese, so despite living in a Chinese-speaking country I have more trouble typing the language than English. xDDD;;

xD that's hilarious! that is why i thought you were in a country that spoke English, but when you when you said cram school i was pretty sure you were anymore.

Yeah, I don't often make mistakes when typing English (though sometimes when I'm typing to fast some of the letters would get mixed up and I'd have to go back and fix that xD0, but when typing in Chinese it's like TYPOS EVERYWHERE! DDDx)

Hmm...I used to be on Gaiaonline, but I quit several years ago after joining Menewsha. The first forum I ever joined after abandoning Chinese websites was Yu-Gi-Oh! Online. Used to be so active there, but after a few years the site pretty much died so I moved on to other random forums and websites...spent a few years on Xanga and MySpace before a friend from MySpace got me onto Gaiaonline, where I spent another few years before finally making my way to Menewsha. xD

Currently I'm also on websites like Facebook and deviantArt. I don't own a Tumblr though. I like visiting sites like Cracked.com, Cyanide and Happiness, Hyperbole and a Half, and etc. :)

You mean from Ally's articles? I don't know...they're all so hilariously funny and interesting. I think I have a certain fondness for her Christmas entry about how Kenny Loggins ruined the holiday for her though. xD

Oh gosh! Yeah, that one killed me too. xDDD I actually had a similar experience where I filled up a hole I dug in the ground with water and was all happy that I made my own pond, only to come back to it later and find that the water had all disappeared and was so shocked and sad about it. X'D At least I hadn't put a fish inside it...xDDD

Read that she's suffering from a bad case of depression though. I hope she gets better soon. D:

Oh really, that's sad. She is seems like such a nice carefree person.

Yeah, if you've read her last blog entry which was some time in October last year, it was about depression. D: She's been battling it ever since, though from what I found on Google she had posted a message about how she's been getting better, but still recovering.
