Yeah, at first, he told the police that he killed the cat because the cat's meowing kept him awake at night and after bringing it up to the owner a couple times without any improvement, he got fed up and killed the cat.
But the owner later revealed that the more likely reason was because the guy's wanted for several crimes, and had mentioned before that it's better to 'be at a mental institute than in jail', so by killing the cat in an unusual and cruel way, he had a higher chance of pleading insanity in court.
Either way, the guy's an asshole.
Sadly, our laws suck and at most he'd only get like a year in jail for doing that. :|
If I had it my way, I'd stick him in a microwave set for fifteen minutes and see how he likes it.

Ended up accidentally falling deeply asleep and not waking up until about twenty minutes ago. Hope the nap wouldn't interfere with my sleeping tonight, or I'll be in trouble tomorrow. o_O;;

Naps always affect my sleep :(
