Samson was granted supernatural strength by God in order to combat his enemies and perform heroic feats.

All of his strength was in his hair and he told this woman, but she betrayed him and had his head shaved.
So he lost all of this strength and was captured by the enemy. They stabbed out his eyes and put him to work. But over time his hair grew back and one day while they (the enemy) are assembling a sacrifice for their deity, they bring him there to watch. He asks a servant to let him lean against a pillar and then starts praying and brings the pillars down killing them and himself.
