Yeah. Preferably a new computer, but they cost money that I do not have...

I've found some things that work on my computer, I just keep forgetting to copy my story to them before I leave the library so I can edit it at home.

You need to set up some sort of reminder for yourself to do that.

I post my writings in my blogs on websites, so I can recover them later no matter where I am.
I've had too many computers maliciously broken or thrown out.

I have a lot of my stories in emails for the same reasons. Also privacy when I was younger, my parents were very nosy.

Google documents is wonderful because it automatically saves your work, and it can be accessed anywhere with internet. And I don't think google will go out of business any time soon. Although I probably should back up everything somewhere else in case I somehow lose access to my account.

A note to those of you who have aspirations of professional publication: I learned during the writing workshop I attend at Stellar every year, from a publisher, that if you post your story anywhere that it can be publicly viewed by someone without requiring a membership or login: that story is officially published and no publishing house worth working with will ever touch it, because it's already published.

Well luckily I rarely ever post anything on the internet,but...There's this one site that I know of where people have put up their work, and gotten it published by a company.I just can't remember which one it was.

If I go lay down I'll end up getting up at like 3am or something. I'm gonna try to stay up until something resembling a reasonable bedtime.

monstahh-Your luck is as bad as mine..

quasi-You remind me of a guy I knew in university...He'd stay up till 3am then sleep trough the day until it was four...OR during hte week he'd sleep at two and get up for classes at 8am. I have no clue how he managed to do as well as he did.

For the years of school that I wasn't a theatre major...my schedule was usually

up in time for 11am class. Class til 3 or 4. Work at 5 four or five nights a week, til around 11 or so. Awake until four or five in the morning.

Paper writing usually started at 6PM the day before due date if the paper was less than 15-pages, two days before due date if further, and usually ran until 8 or 9 am. Then class, and hopefully no work.

and there was a semester or two I was actually working two day shifts 11-4 during the week plus three night shifts over the weekend plus full time school.

it's all about managing time as your needs require. I can write a ten page paper in 12 hours, and I can do it in one go. Not everyone can manage to stare at walls of text for that long. I'm not really sure I can do it that easily anymore, I'm not as young as I used to be.
Hush, Abbi. I know what you're going to say. :-P

----------

and speaking of walls of text, I should probably get started on my RP thread before abbi gets sick of waiting for me to get it up and going.

Are you saying you act? Or want to act for a living? And as for writing papers..I managed to do it the night before and still got Bs,and sometimes even an A! But that was in English class, which was my favorite. I have no clue what to expect in September when I go into Fine Arts.

Is it a group RP? If it is I might want to join.

I did theatre through most of high school, and my first four years of college I was an acting major, but in my mind film > theatre so it wasn't exactly the best thing, I never really got cast in anything and eventually I took a year off and came back and then switched my major to anthropology.

The RP will most likely be a group thing, by menewsha standards it will be literate to advanced level for the most part. I personally have about...eight to ten characters who already have pictures and rough backstories from all my old RP chatrooms back in the day. My photobucket is loaded down with nothing but character pictures.

I have a few characters lying around, but no pictures of any of them. Well except for a drawing I drew of one of them...What will it be about? Or is it about if you've already created it.
