"Yeah, I'm okay." Nika said up and blinked when she saw the other demi-god. "Hey, who's he related to? You two?" She glanced at Jason, noticing the similarities between the two.
Seth paused when he saw the other demigod. he looked familiar, but he wasn't sure where from.

Jason looked over. The other demigod looked very familiar, and he knew that he should recognize him, but so much had happened over the past few days that his memory was shot. Dawn had no such trouble.
"Aaron?" she ventured. The demigod didn't react, but Dawn knew. "Aaron!"

"That's Aaron?" Nika got up and watching him cautiously. "Well, maybe not anymore. Don't go over there, Dawn." She could tell something was wrong with him, she just couldn't quite tell what.

Jason could immediately see it was Aaron, once Dawn sparked his memory. Something seemed wrong, though. His eyes were dark and blank, and he didn't seem to recognize them at all.
"But... It's Aaron," Dawn said, lowering her bow a bit. "He's our brother." She bit her lip. She didn't think she could bring herself to shoot her older brother, even to defend herself.

"I don't think you'll have to shoot him unless he attacks us first," Nika said cautiously, watching him. When she moved forward, he moved to counter her, clearly blocking her from getting to the Void.
"Well, this sucks."

Dawn glanced at Jason helplessly. She didn't want to hurt Aaron, but they needed to be able to get at the Void. Carefully, Jason reached back and pulled out one of his flash arrows. Dawn nodded slightly, understanding what he was about to do. She just hoped that the white fletching on the arrow didn't give it away to Aaron. Reaching back, she pulled one of her explosive arrows. If Jason could distract Aaron, Dawn could shoot at the Void.

Nika noticed them both moving and drew Aaron off to the side so that he could be more easily distracted, and so Dawn would have a better shot at the Void.

As soon as Dawn had a clear shot at the Void, she took it. At the same time, Jason shot his flash arrow at Aaron's feet, using the brilliant magnesium flash to distract him. Both the explosion and the magnesium flash were bright, and spots danced in Dawn's vision as she readied another arrow.

Nika blinked a few times to clear the spots from her vision, just in time to see the Void take one last lunge at her. It landed right on her chest, sliding over her nose and mouth and breaking a few of her ribs. The sharp cracks rent the air.

Dawn whirled around when she heard the cracks.
"Nika!" Dropping her bow, she drew her dagger and lunged at the Void, intent on getting it away from her friend. She was tackled from the side by Aaron, and held down. The edge of a blade rested delicately against her throat and she froze.
Jason drew a regular arrow, not wanting to risk hitting Nika.
"If you love us, help us," he whispered, sending the prayer up to his father. Then he shot the arrow.

The Void jerked twice before falling to the side, slowly vanishing into nothing. Nika coughed a few times, bloody foam forming at her lips. She managed a weak grin.
"Well, least it's dead," she said, her voice quiet.

Once the Void had vanished completely, the blade being held at Dawn's throat relaxed.
"What's going on?" Aaron asked, shaking himself and looking around. He jumped when he realized he was holding down his own sister and let her up. "Dawn!"
Dawn scrambled to her feet and rushed over to Nika.
"Nika!" She looked around for her bag. "I know I have some ambrosia somewhere..."

Nika shook her head a little. "No time," she rasped. "It's fine, Dawn. Tell them that the Void is gone. Tell your father." She managed to grin up at her friend. "And don't... do anything... stupid." She coughed again, turning her head to the side, and closed her eyes.
Seth stayed silent through that, just watching.

Dawn was silent, shaking. Her brothers watched her carefully, knowing full well how close she was to just exploding. Suddenly, she got up and snatched up her bow from where she dropped it.
"Dawn?" Jason asked cautiously. He kept glancing at Nika, as if she would get up at any moment and start bossing them around again.
"One of you talk to Dad," Dawn said softly. "I know if I try to, I'm going to end up stabbing someone, possibly him."

Seth stayed quiet, knowing it was better not to get in her way when she was this mad. He watched the Hellhound look at them all before snorting and loping off, to go back to its normal duties.

Jason grabbed Aaron's arm and dragged him off to the side so they could talk to their father without setting Dawn off. He knew exactly how much she disliked their father, and right now it would only be worse.
Dawn ignored them, working on not stabbing Apollo as soon as he appeared. She heard the three of them speaking softly, so she kept herself busy going through her arrows to see what she had left. After a couple of counts, she realized that she wasn't missing any of them anymore. Heart-songs slowly faded into existence around her, and she relaxed marginally.

Seth decided to stay closer to Dawn, since he didn't trust the sun-god for all his help. He looked at her and back at her arrows for a few moments before he spoke.
"How're you holding up?"

"A little better, now that everything isn't silent anymore," Dawn replied softly. She slung her quiver across her back and put her bow away. She didn't look at either of her brothers or her father. Instead, she turned to head back in the direction of the gate to the Underworld.

Seth blinked but followed her. "What are you planning?" he asked quietly, keeping even with her. If she was going to try to ditch him, she had another thing coming. You didn't ditch a Hermes' kid unless they wanted you to.

"I'm planning on doing something that could potentially be classified as stupid," Dawn replied. Picking up her bag, she dug her lyre out of it and attached it to a special strap on her belt. She dug a little deeper into her bag and pulled out her little pouch of drachmas. "If it's not classified as stupid, then it could also be considered bold, cocky, or reckless, take your pick."

"Yes I am," Dawn replied. No sense in trying to deny it. "My father's children are notorious for it, you know." She glanced at him. "It shouldn't be all that surprising to you, doesn't your dad go in and out of the Underworld all the time?"
