Dawn visibly relaxed once she got back onto camp ground. This was where she belonged, not on Olympus.

"Huh... Interesting place. I've never actually been here."

Dawn jumped and whirled around, her dagger in her hand. Asclepius grinned.

"Nice reflexes, little sister," he commented.

"What are you doing here?" Dawn asked. She hadn't gotten a vision of him being there, and therefore hadn't been expecting anyone to follow them.

"I think it's about time I tutor my siblings in healing," he replied easily. "I would be a terrible brother if I left my younger brothers and sisters to flounder."

"Brothers," Jason interjected. He'd seen Asclepius following them, so he hadn't been surprised.

"Hm?"

"Dawn's our only sister," Jason replied. "And she can't heal."

"Interesting," Asclepius replied. "Well, come on, introduce me to our brothers, then."

Dawn was just speechless as her two half-brothers walked back towards the cabin.

"That's it, I'm sleeping in my car," she said to herself. Then she paused. "No I'm not. I should just go home."

Calix went over to the Ares cabin unerringly while Seth floundered for a minute before he headed back to his cabin.

Rolling her eyes, Nika headed after Dawn in time to hear her comment.

"Hey, you could come live with me for a little while. You'd certainly be away from your brothers."

"And be around yours?" Dawn pointed out. She shook her head. "No. I'd shoot someone, if I didn't stab them first, and that would just piss people off." Sheathing her dagger again, she checked her arrows out of habit. "I'm tempted to go back just to get my lyre, and then take my gaudy car home." She resigned herself to a hideously gold car. It could always be worse. "Thanks for the offer, though."

"I meant outside camp. I have an apartment in town, and a house in San Diego." Nika shrugged. "Trust me, with Calix here, I'm eager to get far, far away."

"I never thought I'd say this, but getting away from here sounds good," Dawn admitted. She hated being reminded whose daughter she was, and it was happening more and more often lately. "I'll follow you in my car, then. Probably best if I get a feel for how it runs and all."

Nika nodded. "Sure." She headed over to the parking lot, getting into her car and starting to drive into town, making sure that Dawn was keeping up and getting used to her car.

Dawn followed, once she had made a run back to grab her lyre. She didn't really need anything other than her lyre and her weapons. Everything else she might want could be bought later, if she needed it.

She hated to admit it, but the new car handled beautifully. Every last control was smooth, and it seemed to just glide over the road. It really was a fantastic car, and she would have loved it instantly if she'd bought it herself.

Nika drove to a private apartment building and buzzed herself and Dawn in through the gate. She parked in her spot and waved Dawn in next to her, turning her car off.

"My place is over here on the left. Sorry if it looks a little dusty or underused."

"I'm sure it's fine," Dawn replied as she turned off the car and got out. If she ignored the color, it was a perfect car. Taking her quiver, she manipulated the Mist a little to make it look like a normal bag and slung it over her shoulder. Her dagger was still on her hip, and her lyre was in her hand. "I have everything, so I'll follow you."

Nika nodded and went up a half flight of stairs to the front door, unlocking it and letting her in.

"Welcome to one of my homes. Ish."

Dawn went in when the door was unlocked. The apartment was small and fairly sparse, but it wasn't all that dusty at all.

"It's nice," she said.

"Thanks." Nika dumped her stuff on the couch. "Um, the couch expands into a bed, so at least you won't have to sleep on the floor or anything. Or I have a hammock."

"Either is fine with me," Dawn replied. "I'm not picky, so grab the one you want and I'll take the other." She was just grateful to be away from her brothers for the moment, though every so often she caught her thoughts wandering back towards Seth. She shook them off, but they kept drifting back persistently.

Nika nodded and disappeared into another room for a minute. "Everything's clean, at least. Fresh sheets and all that."

"Cool," Dawn replied. "Thanks again for letting me stay. I was seriously considering shooting one of my brothers, and it was probably going to end up being one of the immortal ones."

"Oh, trust me, I know the feeling." Nika shook her head. "I've fought Calix a few times. Like seriously fought him. It didn't end well. You don't screw with the God of Passion without repercussions."

Dawn couldn't quite hold back a snort of laughter.

"I'm trying really, really hard to take that the way you meant it," she said. Blame it on growing up about a dozen brothers.

"Well apparently you can screw him without repercussions, but not screw with him." Nika shrugged. "I personaly wouldn't know, but he brags enough."

"And I have no intention on finding out," Dawn added. She stretched a little. "Is it bad that it made me feel better when Artemis hit my dad with her bow?"

Nika snickered. "No, not at all. I thought that was hilarious." She grinned. "Almost as hilarious as the look on Ares's face when I threw that net over him..."

"That was the most reckless thing I've ever seen," Dawn replied. "I honestly couldn't believe you did that, for a second." She grinned, and shook her head. "You know they won't let me drag you back a second time if you get yourself killed again."

Nika grinned. "Yeah, I know. That's why I'll just have to make sure I don't die or get killed again. It wasn't a pleasant experience the first time."

"I don't think anyone else would have had the guts to do that with the net," Dawn said. "I will admit, I was honestly speechless."

Nika grinned and preened just for a moment. "Yeah, well, I'm just glad he was too stunned to god-bolt me."

"I think you stunned everyone with that move," Dawn said. "Nobody knew how to react."
