she gave an upset meow and jumped up on the bed with them.

Alice looked at them and said "Now we wait until lunch", she looked at Kelsey then said "Then after that you can have candy", she smiled and then looked at Stella and said "So you really don't remember anything from last night?".

Stella shook her head. “No, but I wish I could remember. I can never remember what happens when my other self takes over.” She swung her legs slightly as she sat at the edge of the bed. She was a little trouble by not being able to remember, but there wasn’t much she could do to fix the problem. “So umm…I’ve been wondering for a long time now. What is it like to have parents and to not have to live in a place like this?”

Alice looked at Stella and said "Well lets just say that you stood up while Kyoko had her Kentar out so that may not have be the best idea" she smiled. When Stella asked about having parents her smile disappeared then said "Mine were really nice but you could say that I was a trouble maker" she paused then said "The only reason why I ended up her is because I was sliding around on my socks and then I couldn't stop when I reached the stairs. But my parents had told me not to slide around in my socks so I guess that this is all my fault". She looked at the door and then said "But living with parents is a lot nicer then living here in my opinion" she smiled and looked back at Stella and said "That is why when I get the cure for Kelsey we are getting out of here and then we can all go home", she laid back on her bed and looked up at the ceiling and said "Then we could all be happy again".

Layla was watching and listening the whole time. She sighed and looked down when Alice said something about leaving and going home. "This is the only home I know. I don't even know does my father have a house anymore. He has been spending a lot of time here. I have heard that he moved into his office after my mother died, so he could be closer to me."

Alice looked over at Layla and said "He is probably here so that he can protect you", she looked back up at the ceiling and said "He probably still has a house".

"You are probably right." Layla replied with a slight smile and perking up her ears.

kelsey jumped in alices lap. she licked her paw. then she tried again to talk. "maybe my cat form could help us get out," she tried. she didnt know if it came out of if it was just a meow.

Either way, Layla understood Kelsey because of her cat genes. "Maybe Alec could help you guys out. He can turn into a cat by will."

Meanwhile, Dexter called Alec to his office in order to speak with him. "I need to tell you something, Alec. Now that you are close with Layla, I should tell you that she was born to be your mate."

"can he really," she meowed excitedly.

"Yeah, but only for ten minutes though." Layla replied with a smile.

"I figured it out when I started to have feelings for her." Alec replied with a serious tone.

kelsey jumped up an down. "yea" she said. her talking probably only sounded like meows to the others.

Layla smiled. "I could introduce him to you if you like."

"I know you will protect her, so I am not worried about my little girl around you." Dexter said with a slight smile.

"Of course, she is safe with me. I love her and will always protect her." Alec replied. "Is that all?"

"Yes, you may go for now." Dexter said.

"please please please" she said.

Alice looked at Kelsey and Layla talking and then shook her head thinking 'How can she understand her all I hear is meows'. She sat up and said "so there is another cat person here?".

Alec went to Layla's room and noticed that she was not there. He looked up and figured that she went in the vents to go to another room. He jumped up and turned into a gray cat, landing in the vent. He followed her scent and saw she was with a couple of girls and a cat. He jumped down, turning human againin the process, and landed on his feet. "Hello, Layla. Who are your new friends?" He asked with a smile.

"This is Kelsey, and this is Alice." She said, first indicating the cat, and then, the girl. "Of course, you already know Stella."

Alec nodded. "Nice to meet you."

"can he understand me too," kelsey asked.

Alice was surprised by Alec Appering out of the vent, she smiled and said "Nice to meet you too", she looked over at Layla and said "So that how you got in my room".

why can't alice understand me kelsey thought to herself. "hey layla how come alice and stella cant understand me," she asked.

Stella just sat there listening to the others. "Hey, Alec." She smiled slight at the boy. It had been a while since the last time she seen him. Lately trying to stay away from Cairan was keeping her busy. "I kind of wish I was part cat too." She commented off-handedly.


Cairan walked swiftly down the hall heading towards Stella’s room. It had been days since he had last tested on her and he was getting tired of her games. His katana was strapped securely to his side under his long lab coat. “Stella it’s time for your check-up,” he said entering the empty room. “That girl, I swear…where has she gotten to this time?” It was clear to see he was angry as he stormed down the hall yelling Stella’s name. "Get out here you little runt. You're late for your check-up!"

Alice looked at Stella and said "If you don't want to be found you can hid under the bed", she smiled and then stood up and looked out the door window and then turned back to her and said "I would hid he looks pretty mad".

"Yes, I can understand you, Kelsey." Alec said with a smile. Then, he looked at Stella. "Hey, Stella. Long time no see. How have you been?"

"Maybe because you are talking in cat language." Layla replied. "Alec and I have cat genes, so we can understand cat." Then, she looked at Alice. "Yep. That is how." She replied with a smile. Then, she thought of something. "Maybe that is the key to your escape. The vents must lead outside."

"Cairan is coming? I will help hide her." Alec said in a serious tone.

((I won't be on tonight. Also, I am not sure if I am able to be on this weekend. If not, you could say that Alec helped with hiding Stella, and when Cairan left, Alec and Layla went back to her room.))

Kelsey heard someone coming down the hall which was her cue to hide. she didnt want any of the nurses or doctors to find her. she jumpe dunder hte bed.

Alice smiled and then said "Kelsey I ment Stella he is yelling her name but glad you remembered what to do" she walked over to her bed and sat down on it again. She then jumped and said "Hey why don't I go distract him it will give you more time to hide Stella", she walked over to the door and stood by it and the stepped out into the hall and closed the door behind her.
