“Yeah it has been a long day.” Ciaran rubbed his head. I’m going to be lucky if I don’t have a knot there later. “Thank you. I think I’ll go to my own office and rest for a while. See you later Dexter” He moved slowly towards the doorway. Man my head hurts. I’ve got to get out of this place and soon. Once in the hall he turned towards the direction of his office. At first he stumbled a little and had to stay close to the wall. After a little bit he regained his balance and was able to walk without tripping over his own feet.

Stella looked over at Kelsey. “At least all of them aren’t like that. Cassie is nice.”

"yeah. She is the one who has been taking care of me since i was first brought there when i was 3. I hope she is ok there by herself," she said.

"All right. See you later, Ciaran." Dexter replied as Ciaran left his office.

"She is not really alone. There is still Jiro and Dexter there. I am sure they are looking after her." Layla said with a smile.

Alice rolled over and finally fell asleep, there wasn't a dream though it was just blackness and she would rather have that then the nightmare again/

Lena came back down wearing a black dress with a small lavender jacket. “Everyone ready now?” Her voice was cheerful as she grabbed her car keys off the coffee table.

Ciaran walked slowly to his office. Once inside he locked the door and sat in his chair, slouching. He reached for a bottle of Advil on his desk and opened it, taking out two pills. He took them with a glass of water, still remaining in the chair. Sitting there he tried to figure out how he could leave without Dexter or the boss finding out.

Alec and Layla nodded.

Andrew was now able to see a little more then before, he stood up and left his office locking the door. He could see but they were all black and white. He walked down the hall and went into the break room and looked at the newspaper seeing as it was already black and white.

Lena made sure the door was locked. “Everyone to the car, it should still be unlocked. I’m going to check on Alice real quick and much sure everything is locked up before we go.” With purse and keys in hand she went down the hall. Quietly she opened the door to the guest room and picked inside at Alice. It seemed she was asleep. She smiled and closed the door quietly. I’ll just bring her back something that I think she’ll like.

Stella hopped off the couch. “I’m ready to go.” She went over to the door. “Last one in the car is a rotten egg?” She giggled wondering if the others would play along.

Ciaran wished his headache would go away. He covered his eyes with his hand. It wasn’t long before he fell asleep. This time he had a dream of Lena living happily with the children that had help escaped. If only that dream could end happily he thought as he watched. Those children belong to the boss and once he finds out they are missing who ever helped them will be in danger. The boss will show none of them any mercy.

Alice rolled over when she heard he door close she was always a light sleeper, she opened her eyes slightly and then closed them again trying to go back to sleep.

Layla sat in the seat that Alice was in when they arrived, and then, Alec sat in the middle. He figured that Kelsey could sit by herself just as long as she was behind a seat. That back of the seat could protect her. Plus, he sat in the middle, so he could make sure she was safe.

Dexter was still sitting in his office, thinking of a plan on what to do with the boss. He was the only one standing in their way. Andrew, Jason, and Kyoko could be as well, but he could deal with them later. He needed to get the boss arrested, even if it is on a unrelated charge. If that was not possible, he had to kill him and make it look like an accident. Maybe kill him in one of his own experiments. That would be a poetic death for the boss.

Stella climbed into the front seat and buckled herself in. "Do you guys think Alice will get her sight back?"

Lena locked up the house. She got into the car and looked to make sure everyone had their seat belts on. "What do you guys think about bring some nice stuff back for Alice? I'll also try to get in contact with Dexter to see if he might be able to do something about Alice's sight." She was worried about the girl. If losing her sight was just a side effect it should have worn off by now. What in the world has Andrew done to Alice?

Ciaran slept soundly in his office. He continued to have strange dreams.

Dexter decided to call the cell that he gave Alec in order to see how everyone is doing.

Once the phone rang, Alec picked it up and said hello. He knew it was Dexter, and he told them that they were doing all right and made it out of the hospital.

Dexter then told Alec what he found out and told him that he was either going to try to steal the antidote from Andrew or try to make one himself.

Alec then spoke to Lena. "Dexter has told me what you wanted to talk to him about. Do you still want to have a word with him before I hang up, or should I just tell you what he told me?"

Lena looked back at Alec and listened. “Yes, I would, if he has the time.” She held her hand out for the phone. She wanted to know how things were in the hospital and a few other things.

"Yeah, he has time to speak with you." Alec said as he handed Lena over the phone.

Alice sat int he seat and watched as lena was given the phone.

Alice sat up when she heard the front door being locked she wasn't getting back to sleep anytime soon.

Lena took the phone. “Dexter how are things at the hospital? Has everyone found out about the children missing yet?” There was only one doctor that really concerned her because he knew where she lived without having to look up her employ file to find out.

Stella rocked side to side in her seat. After a little she looked back at Layla, Alec and Kelsey. “Do any of you know what it’s like to go shopping and stuff?” She made sure to whisper since Lena was on the phone. “Also is the food going to be any better than that stuff they fed us at the hospital?”

"I don't think the boss knows yet, but Ciaran and Andrew know that they are missing. However, I have sedated them both. I got to Andrew before he could tell the boss. Ciaran bet me to the boss's office, but I don't think he told him. If he did, I would think that the boss would have informed me about it, which he has not." Dexter replied calmly. "They probably came too now, but I will keep an eye on them. I think Andrew is a bigger threat than Ciaran. However, that is only if he regains his eyesight." He said in a serious tone, grinning at the last part. "Also, I think I just tell you myself. Alice's blindness is not from a side effect of Andrew's experiment. It was the experiment. I am not sure does he have an antidote, but one thing is for sure. I gave him a taste of his own medicine. I hope that he does not have an antidote or at least not a very good one because that will mean early retirement for him. I know it is a double edge sword hoping that because of Alice, but I got a sample of the substance. So, I might be able to make an antidote for her."

Layla looked at Stella and smiled. "Well, I was in the hospital all my life just like you, but Dexter sometimes brought food from the outside, and it was really good. Better than some of the stuff they have been feeding us."

Alec nodded in agreement.

"i was in there since i was a baby. I haven't eaten anything that wasn't from the hospital," kelsey said.

Stella nodded. She didn’t really expect any of them to know the answer to her questions, but hoped maybe they did. “I hope it is good. I never really liked the stuff they gave us at the hospital. The only outside food I was ever given was candy.”

Lena listened to what Dexter said. “I didn’t think it would take those two long to find out, especially since Ciaran was being so persistant. At least Jason and the boss are out of the loop so far.” She grew silent as her thoughts wondered a bit, but when he told her about what Andrew did it snapped her out of her thoughts. “I was afraid Andrew’s experiment was something along those lines. I’m glad that you have done all this for us and I hope that you can either get or make an antidote. I should have never let him take Alice from my office….Dexter I have a favor to ask. If you haven’t done so already I would like you to destroy all of my employee records. That way Andrew can’t get a hold of them.”

Ciaran awoke and looked around his office. What time is it? Glance at the clock it seemed he had only been asleep for 30 minutes or so. His head still hurt, but not as bad. Without much thought he grabbed his keys from his desk and left his office. Time to go, but once I find Lena and the kids what should I do? He paused in the doorway thinking. Just talk to Lena and let them go. Then try to convince the boss that it was someone else that helped them escape or should I drag them back so that the boss won't find out?

Cassie walked by Dexter's office an dheard him on the phone talking. She knocked on the door.

Kelsey watched the houses as they passed by them.

"I hope so too." Dexter replied as calmly as he could. Then, he heard the favor that Lena asked of her. "All right. I will do my best to get to your files as fast as possible. Anything else before I hing up?" He asked, and then, he heard a knock on his door. "Who is it?" He yelled at the door as he covered the phone with his hand, so he would not yell in Lena's ear.

"it's me cassie. can i come in," she asked.

"Come in, Cassie, but close the door behind you." Dexter replied as he continued to listen to Lena.

Cassie walked in and shut the door behind her. "Dexter i got some bad news," she said.
