Hi there, I'm Uppers, nice to meet you. Seeing that you have stumbled onto my thread, I would assume that you are looking for a roleplay partner.
You may want to know a little about me before agreeing to participate in a rp, so here is a little background information on Uppers. I am 18 years old, and planning on majoring in philosophy and sociology. My interests include painting, sketching, and spending countless hours online. I am also an avid gamer. From Battlefields to the upcoming Rift mmo rpg, I play a wide range of games.
For the most part, I am a fairly literate person. I don't expect too much when roleplaying, and my experience with it is limited. However you can expect fairly proper grammar and spelling as well as a minimum of 250 words per post from me.
Currently, I want to try a rp with a romantic subplot and character development. None of that ‘love at first sight’ jazz.
Other than that, I am open to any ideas you may have. Just drop me a note, telling me a little about yourself and what you are looking for in a rp, and I will respond as soon as I can.
Also, no furry, yaoi or yuri please. I am just not into that kind of stuff.
Some plot ideas I had in mind...
- An archaic manuscript which was uncovered in an ancient ruined city may lead to the discovery of a powerful relic. However, with no concrete evidence of the artifacts existence, our main character must learn how to trust his inner instinct in order to find his goal.
- After being a long distance relationship for over a year, a young couple agrees to meet each other in the motel room of a rural town. Their planned retreat quickly turns sour when a poltergeist begins interrupting their ability to enjoy each other's company.
- Historical
- Sci-Fi
- Post apocalyptic
- Dirty business

His name was Rob Day. He was twenty-four years old and had three years-worth of experience in the American States Armed Forces and two years in the Terran Military Forces. He was currently the High Commander of a small dispatch sector for scouting information for the Terran military. His branch's goal was to gain information about their enemy, the Amix race.
The Amix were an alien race who continuously and viciously bombed Terran settlements once they discovered the people's existence. Ever since the humans gained the ability to become mobile in space, they peacefully began to settle into various earth-like planets which could sustain plant growth and provide people with living conditions. The aliens used their advanced military technology to bully the people from settling into their homes. At first, politicians tried to reason with the Amix but with no avail. It seemed that there was no ground for communication between the two races, so humans did the only thing the knew best. They began a war. At first, they mindlessly attacked the alien spaceships with various missiles and guns. Their attempts were futile as the alien spaceships seemed invulnerable to Terran's attacks. Forgetting their differences, people began copying and innovating new versions of the Amix weaponry and spacecrafts. Once they realized they had something to counter the aliens, people began bombing any stray ships found flying around. They would often scavenge the destroyed spacecraft, hoping to find more information about their enemy. However, the only thing they ever found was a hollow spaceships with its motherboard destroyed and a toxic liquid on the ground.
"SGT Daniel reporting with information on an Amix craft!" a young officer stood stiffly inside his office with one hand placed roboticly on his forehead.
"I'm listening."
"Our dispatch bombed another alien craft not to far away. Lieutenant Sanders believes the ship was spying on us."
Robert leaned back in his chair, "Calm down kid, Sanders thinks everything is spying on him. Is the main-board intact?"
"No sir! It appears that the.... thing operating the craft suicided once it found itself surrounded by our forces."
"Dammit!" he muttered under his breath. How was the Terran Military ever going to gain any of the enemy's knowledge if every time they took captured on of their spaceships, it were completely destroyed? Of course humans were able to recreate many of the weapons and vehicles, but none of them were nearly as sophisticated as the Amix's. "Did you receive any more information from this expedition?"
"There was a frequency that was released shortly before suicide. Our soldiers were able to capture the details of the frequency."
His mood suddenly became hopeful, "Have you released this information to anyone else?"
"No sir! We were only able to give the message to the scientists at our dispatch."
"Were they able to decipher it yet?" he wanted all the information he could get.
"I don't know, we only gave it to them this morning."
"No time to waste, we're going to the lab sector right now." He grabbed his jacket while following the Sergent. Maybe this was the break that the human race was looking for. If they could figure out the message, people would finally gain the ability communicate with the aliens.
Hello! I'm Gemini, and I consider my self a semi-pro roleplayer.I can post at least a paragraph with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.I am online every night, and I'm flexible.I can play a male or a female, though I only do hetero.I like fandoms, but I like other things as well, such as sci-fi, fantasy and adventure.I enjoy a romantic element, but properly developed and realistic.I had an idea for a next generation Batman rp, like in Batman Beyond.I should tell you, I'm quite imaginative, so some of my ideas can be out there.for instance, some of my favorite characters to play are demons, vampires (no twilight) and genetic experiments including animal/human hybrids.if any of this sounds interesting, let's talk! :)
~Edit: I was just watching some vocaloid videos when an idea hit me.how about an experiment that gains a conscience and/or heart, and falls in love with his or her creator.
Oh snap. I just met you and this is crazy, but I love your ideas so let's roleplay, maybe.
Sorry, I couldn't help it. Anyway, I like both of your plot ideas! But I also want to inquire about your 'Historical, Sci-Fi, Post apocalyptic, and Dirty business' ideas. Did you have any plots in mind or were you hoping to work out a story?
Since I'm kinda 'new' here, let me toss up a sample:

Quote:
The idea of having a choice was a hard concept to grasp. He knew it was true but he knew it also involved a lot of give and take. To make Rynn his own meant a lot of changes - some of which he wasn't ready to embrace just yet. How was he to tell Rynn, the woman he still loved, that he made a mistake? How was he supposed to tell her that he wanted to be with her all those nights rather than Jenny. It made him think back to the night where he wanted her the most and she was nowhere to be found….
Things had gone from bad to worse in a matter of moments. He was on the brink of tears and ready to end it all. To him, his life meant nothing. Not anymore and not with the heavy news that came with it all. The enemy they had to fight was no longer the path he sought to take. He wanted out, oh did he want out. It was one thing to kill someone he didn't know but to kill a friend, a brother, that was another thing.
Going off on his own (foolish, of course), Nicholas fumbled his way across the foreign terrain. Kapu, to his luck, had stayed faithfully loyal to him, keeping at his heel the entire journey. When he finally found his body worn and sore, he sought out shelter in a small shack. Eyes no longer able to cry anymore and heart barely beating, the raven thrust himself on a straw covered floor. With a small flame flickering in his hands (caused by a lighter he obtained), he thought about casting the object into the bedding beneath him.
As he watched the flames dance, he thought about her - Rynn Arokit - and how he wanted her more than anything. She was the one person that wasn't linked to his past that could make him understand his newfound mission.
The orange and red flames moved before his eyes and called him, saying that if he believed she would be there for him. His savior she was but his hero she was not. When the lighter was dropped from his hands, purposely, it was not her bright emerald eyes that he saw. No, instead he was met with a familiar pair of blue ones that taunted him day in and day out. The eyes of a past lover and the eyes of an old friend who had recently learned of the grave news.
Engaged to his brother, she was but her heart never lusted after Deks for all she wanted was Nick. Still, he wed the older heir of the family and forever make love to a body that was not the one you wanted killed her and he knew it. So when her body appeared before his and her hands stopped the flames from licking him up, he knew fate had stepped in. He was not meant to be with Rynn, he decided then and there for she was nowhere to be seen or heard (or so he believed).
Trembling hands and virgin innocence seemed to be fleeting as in no time their bodies were one and the deed was done. Although it was a bit of a pity affair, the two seemed to be the answer to the other's prayer. If only her lips were with him now.
When his mind came to, his eyes were staring at a very large house with a ton of windows. Jacob was retreating back to the road and muttered something about 'you're on your own.'
Darkness had set and moon was high, Nick didn't realize how long he'd be out. Whisking away the longing thoughts of romance (with who he didn't care) and clung to the vivid images of his children who had recently realized he missed.
Step by step, he approached the door. Just as he raised his hand to knock, he was met be a pale-faced human. A low snarl was heard but Nick paid it no thought. Uninterested eyes looked away while his lips did there work.
"Is Rynn here? We should probably get back to the hotel before the keeper locks us out."
Greetings and salutations, my name is Kayla. I'm rather laid back, but an interesting plot never cease's to interest me-- anything that doesn't turn dull and short-lived keeps me around. I myself am going into anthropology and geology, but I have a decent background in sociology and psychology--I took them at my old high school before I moved. Any how, I would like to combine two of your idea's: the Historical with the Long Distance Relationship. Instead of a 'Motel', how about a Bed and Breakfast?
