Ariana looked at them both and let out a smile. She hugged Moz tighter.
"Nothing is wrong.
The pain is gone
I feel light hearted and happy
It has been so long."
She stared at them a moment and then sat down again. SHe picked up a random book and started to read it with a smile playing at her lips. Apparently the happier she was the less she spoke in poetry. Perhaps in a few days she could talk like everyone else.

Moz raised an eyebrow again at her words. “I tend to try ignoring the thoughts of those giving blood, out of common decency. Although, with you being human, I don’t expect you to understand that” He stated, eyes narrowing as he smirked at his slight dig at the other. Moz then twisted in his seat to peer anxiously at Ariana, either not noticing, or ignoring Hester as the woman sat on his other side and leant over to try and take the female vampire’s hand. Ariana’s smile seemed to reassure him somewhat as he felt the tightening of the hug, reaching up to gently pat her shoulder again. “I’m glad then you are well...Although I would prefer it you wouldn’t break bones with each hug” He answered softly, a smile still on his lips as he gently squeezed Ariana’s arm in a reassuring way.

" Out of curiosity ,are you always this two faced?",asked Hester without a hint of sarcasm or anger. She was genuinely curious, and after seeing that Ariana was alright she removed her hand from hers.Still seated,Hester felt her curiosity growing with every second. Moz was a puzzle she wanted to figure out,she had the inkling that it would take a long time.
Turning to him again with a spark restrained frustration in her eyes Hester responded to his barely veiled dig at her."Also, you can't always attribute things to my being human..I think you might actually be afraid,of what I have no idea." She shifted, not quite sure whether she wanted to remain where she was.Hester was beginning to think nothing she did or said would be able to get trough to Moz. After only a night, her decision to show him that not all humans where bad was wavering. She supposed not everyone could change.

Her comment threw him off slightly. After remaining silent for a few thoughtful seconds, he let out a sharp laugh, moving to settle back into the chair and regarding Hester in curiosity. “Only when I am bored, or to humans, it’s amusing to watch them attempting to figure out what I’m really like” For the first time, he gave an almost cheeky expression befitting of the age he appeared to be, then looked swiftly away.
Moz lightly tapped his fingers against his knee, starting to look bored as Hester was practically lecturing him on his actions. At the mention of him being afraid, his fingers fell perfectly still, as if Moz had become a statue in those few seconds. This had been happening often it seemed with Hester. She would say something that would put him on edge, he would respond with something threatening or vampric, very predictable. Perhaps this time he should stir things up slightly. “Miss Hester, there are a lot of things a vampire can and does fear. We share many common fears with humans, fear of the unknown, fear of the truth, fear of small spaces, heights and who knows how many more. I am perfectly happy living in ignorance of my ‘fear’ Miss Hester, I worry that if I knew of it, my happy-go-lucky attitude would take a turn for the worst.” He answered in a calm tone, gazing straight ahead of him, at a patch of wall, well aware of the sarcasm in his voice at the last of his words.

Laughing a little as Moz's comment Hester moved closer to him."Of course,we can't forget just how happy you are.Why you're smile is so bright you could light this whole place up!" Turning serious again she decided to say what she was thinking.
Speculatively Hester reached out a tentative hand to touch one of his ."I do believe you're afraid of feeling anything other then anger, and hatred. Afraid of letting people past your barriers for the most part....Would you mind addressing me by name? No honorifics ,no fake humility ,simply a name ,nothing more and nothing less.It isn't an order either." It was wrong of her she supposed,to want to conquer this un-tamable vampire by becoming his friend. Her mind's thoughts on the matter contradicted what her heart did. Every time the woman approached Moz her heart beat faster, and she became more volatile then she was usually.Truly she had no idea what was going on,she was terrified of him but she couldn't keep away.

Moz rolled his eyes somewhat at her words, shrugging somewhat, although this time as he was approached, he remained still. “But of course, it is more blinding than the sun itself” He stated calmly. Whilst Moz hadn’t moved away when Hester had shifted closer, the touch on his hand made him flinch slightly, pausing before drawing his hand away from her.
He let a frown settle over his face, listening to her words and pursing his lips slightly. “It is understandable for one to be afraid of something like that, when they have been let down many times before. Is it not easy to see why they would be reluctant to repeat the action of ‘letting someone past barriers’?” He murmured in a hushed tone. “I am happy with anger and hatred, they have kept me alive up to now and have yet to prove me wrong, they are tiring, but ultimately the wisest option” Moz sighed, running a pale hand through his hair before allowing a crooked smile onto his lips.
“I do not call you Miss Hester out of humility, real or fake. It is the gentlemanly thing to do and a habit I was taught in my first years of vampric life. Some of my first memories revolve around such manners, so forgive me Miss Hester, if I choose to keep with honorifics” He answered calmly, pausing a second before glancing back at her, gazing directly into her eyes as he finished speaking.

A little disappointed for reasons she did not quite understand when Moz removed his hand from hers Hester regarded him with a puzzled frown."Doesn't your anger, and your hatred isolate you and make you feel lonely though? I for one would never be able to live in such a way, even if my life did depend on it." Letting a quiet sigh escape, she nearly turned away but her eyes where caught by Moz's smile.
As he spoke of his past, more questions sprang to mind. Then Moz looked at Hester straight in the eyes, something she had never expected him to do. The young woman felt pinned to the spot, with a horrid blush rising to her cheeks. Pausing to collect herself, or at least try to, Hester smoothed her dress with slightly shaking hands." So you have no memories of your human life. What was it like, to wake up as a vampire with no idea as to who you had been? Who was it that took you in and taught you these things? " A small, but radiant, smile lit up Hester's face."I would like to give this person my thanks, no one has ever treated me in this gentlemanly way before...I must say that I am not used to it, and that is the reason why I asked you to stop, now though I am glad you did not." Turning away from Moz's piercing gaze Hester wondered what in the world was wrong with her. If she didn't know any better...Actually that was exactly what was happening! She was falling, ever so slightly, for Moz. At that moment she was more glad then she'd ever thought she could be that the vampire had chosen not to read her thoughts.

Moz shrugged a little, looking as if it didn’t really matter to him either way, which in truth, it didn’t. “If you set yourself up for lonliness it doesn’t seem so bad after a while” His voice had become a little quieter as he said this. Slowly he clasped his hands together, holding them tight as he frowned slightly, in apparent thought.
The way the woman was acting was indeed odd. He’d never really seen a person, much less a human, acting like this around a vampire, around him. If anything, it was more confusing than interesting, so he didn’t comment on the blushes or hesitations or light touches, instead trying to puzzle them out in his own mind. The blush that rose to her cheeks made him raise an eyebrow slightly as he watched her, refusing to break his gaze on the woman. “It was strange, and somewhat frightening. I was told I was found in a pool of blood beneath a balcony, so I can only assume that my mortal life was something to be left wanting. The Lord and Lady of the manor took me as their servant, I was treated quite harshly by them, and their other servants seemed to fear me, or at least were wary. However, for some reason I’ll never understand, my master and mistress decided it was needed for me to be educated...I think they regretted it not long after” The cruel smirk flashed briefly over his lips as he remembered killing them both in a burst of uncontrollable, blood lusted rage.
Moz was distracted from his memories by the smile on Hester’s face. He watched her in confusion before shrugging a little. “Then a pity they are long dead, though they deserve thanks from no one Miss Hester” He answered, a slight pause before he had spoken her name.

Seeing the frown on the vampire's face made Hester wonder if she'd done anything wrong. If she had, Moz would probably have let her know in a threatening way , so it couldn't possibly be that. " You only think it isn't bad because you've become numb." When the young looking man began to speak of his past, Hester couldn't help the small cry of dismay that issued from her lips. Nor could she stop her hand from clutching his when Moz spoke of his treatment.
Immersed in his words as she was, Hester did not miss the cruel smile that formed itself on his face just before Moz spoke of his first master's demise. It was frightening yes, to think that Moz might have killed. Thinking of what he had told her, Hester couldn't really blame him if that was what had truly happened. " Then I suppose I should thank you Moz." The moment the words left her mouth, the young woman leaned over to place a soft kiss on the vampire's cheek before pulling back quickly and letting go of his hands at the same time.

Ariana smiled and nodded at Moz. As they started talking she sat back and started to read her book again. She figured it was best to let them talk it all out. No point in the youngest there acting like the boss who knows it all.

“Then I am happy to be numb and don’t wish to be thawed by anyone” He answered, voice snapping slightly from the calmer tone he had been previously using. It was fairly obvious from the tone that he didn’t want to talk about that anymore. If she didn’t pick up on his voice change, she would almost certainly notice the narrowing of his eyes and deeper frown settling across his features.
Moz flinched again at the touch on his hand, attempting to pull away slightly, although not as much as before. Moz left the tips of his fingers resting in her hand, turning his head quickly away to frown at one of the book shelves instead. The silence that had met his comment on his previous masters simply made him smirk cruelly again, more memories flashing through his mind. They distracted him enough that he didn’t hear the rustling of her clothes as Hester moved closer. He didn’t notice the closeness until he felt the kiss. Jumping with a start, the young looking vampire shot to his feet with an expression of utter shock on his face.
Moz gaped at Hester a few seconds, turning to look from her to Ariana, his shocked look shifting into confusion and what could have been anger. “What....Do you...Think you are...doing?” He whispered in a hoarse tone.

Sighing at such reaction Hester stood also, but first she whispered something to Ariana. "This does make me wonder what he would have done if I'd kissed him somewhere else." It would probably have been instant death, thought the woman wryly. Clutching her dress tightly she regarded the blond man before her quietly.
With a small smile, she tilted her head to the side. "One would think you've never been kissed on the cheek as means of welcome. It was a thank you, as I said earlier, because I like the way you treat me... When murder isn't on your mind. " Maybe she'd gone just a tad too far. Hester wasn't sure whether to tell him she'd had thoughts of kissing him full on the mouth, but decided against it just as she had earlier. What would a vampire with such a temper do to her, if he found out such a thing? It was a touchy matter, a rebellious heart could cause so much trouble. Hester placed a hand on that very heart, as if trying to halt it's traitorous inclinations.

Ariana walked over to the two and smiled.
"Hester has feelings for moz.
Anyone could see that she liked him.
Perhaps moz should give her a chance.
Or she might turn around and bite him."
She giggled a little and sat down closer watching them.

Moz glared at Hester as he watched her whispering to Ariana, too angry and his thoughts raging too loudly for him to catch her own words. As she gazed at him and smiled, Moz bared his fangs slightly, eyes narrowing in a fierce glare as he took a cautious step back. His actions were as if he were a wild animal that had been spooked and backed into a corner, the only option at that point being fighting instead of fleeing.
“I’m a vampire and have been a servant all my life, one tends not to kiss the servants in greeting” He snapped coldly back before letting a wicked smirk fall over his lips at her words. “A pity then that murder is often on my mind” He snapped back before taking another cautious step back from the woman, watching her in suspicion. Her actions made him nervous, he couldn’t guess what she was going to say or do and it put the older vampire on edge.
Turning over to Ariana, he stiffened slightly before growling softly at Ariana’s words. “Any woman, or human who tries to bite me will severely regret it” He murmured angrily before glancing between Ariana and Hester again. “She is a fool to have any feelings for me and it will only bring her misfortune, it would be better for her to get over her silly emotions before she regrets ever having them” He snapped again.

The smile fell swiftly from Hester's face at Moz's words. Stepping forward so she stood only inches form him, she whispered her next words. She didn't want to upset Ariana, because what she said was shocking and impulsive. "Then kill me if you so wish Moz, I'll not do a thing to stop you." Putting out her hands she took his and put them around her neck gently. With a sigh she closed her eyes and waited.
Waited to see if he would take that decisive action and kill her. Wondered what would happen if he didn't. Letting her hands fall limply to her sides she clutched her skirts again. Every nerve in her body was tense, she could feel the slight breeze coming in from outside. Hester couldn't believe so much had happened so quickly in one night. She knew then that dawn was approaching and that more hinged on this one action then she'd first planned.

Ariana stood up again. She ran to the both of them and pushed Hester away from Moz and into a chair. She walked over to Moz and pushed him into another chair on the opposite side of the room.
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!"
Her first single word was a single shout. She glared at them her face red in anger and frustration.
"Stop acting like children. You both need to make up right now."
She stomped her foot as she screamed at them. Her language was perfect now and she was to angry to care. They needed to make up and get over it now.

Brought back to reality by Ariana, Hester looked to the other woman with shock. "You spoke without using poetry!" Then the actual meaning of the words reached Hester's tired brain. A loud giggle escaped her, which she tried to smother with her hands. Laughing she bent down to try and hide the tears welling up in her eyes at the hilarity of the situation. The youngest telling them they where acting like children!
Looking across the room at Moz, her good humor disappeared. He certainly wasn't going to want to have anything to do with her. She was certain the vampire was trying to come up with a way to kill her. He had pretty much admitted earlier that he'd been thinking of murder, tough he'd never said whose.
With dawn fast approaching Hester wanted to make sure the library was well closed up, but she didn't dare move. Ariana would tie her to the chair if she tried leaving before things where settled between her and Moz. Or worse, Ariana would tie them together! Now that would have been quite the situation...

Mozed to take a hesitant step back again as the woman started to approach him once more. He growled lowly, baring his fangs dangerously until he heard her whispered words. Eyes widening slightly, Moz let out a soft hiss, trying to pull away as he felt his hands being pulled up and placed around her neck. On impulse, his hands and fingers twitched slightly, their grip becoming slightly tighter around the fragile part of the woman’s body.
His eyes widened slightly and Moz stood there in stunned silence, not even noticing the embarrassing fact he had to reach up to hold her neck. Again his hands seemed to twitch slightly, tightening a little again. It seemed Moz was struggling with his instincts to kill and his own knowledge that he couldn’t kill her without risking great punishment and hurting Ariana at the same time. Without even having to glance around, he could practically feel the sun starting to rise, the oncoming dawn.
Before his grip could tighten even more, he felt smaller hands shoving him back. Before he could let out a yell, he was stumbling back, being forced into the chair and now staring up at Ariana in shock. Her yell had stunned him, stopping him from even snarling or growling in anger or frustration. As she began to tell them both off, he slowly lowered his gaze, staring down at the ground and his hands shaking slightly as their grip tightened rapidly on the arms of his chair, muscles straining. “I will not make up over something I did not cause” He whispered hoarsely, looking up to glare at Hester as the foolish woman began to laugh. Laugh of all things! Was she really that insane? He was beginning to think she was.

Hearing Moz's words Hester shook her head. "For someone who is so old, you are so completely dense. I obviously have feelings for you, this whole night I've been trying to get to know you. All you do is rebuff me without ever giving me a chance. " Looking down to the ground she felt a single tear trickle down her face. "I thought that by putting you on the spot like that, it would make you think, maybe get you to realize that not all humans need to be hated .Possibly even help you see that we could at least be friends."
She couldn't even look at him anymore as she heard her voice quaver the more she spoke. Finally she began crying again, the second time that night. Why was her heart being so difficult! The organ beat furiously in her chest, pulsing and throbbing with the hurt and emotions she felt. Her blood rushed trough her, pulsing in time with the frantic beating of her heart. Hester was certain Moz and Ariana could hear. Such a night! If only it could have ended on a happier note.

Moz sighed as he shook his head sharply back at her. “Why on earth would I acknowledge something that I don’t want to know about?” He snapped back coldly. It was true. He didn’t want to accept the idea that a human could possibly have any feelings other than hatred and contempt towards a vampire let alone towards him. As she continued to speak, he let out an icy cold, single laugh before turning his head away from the woman. “What would put such a foolish thought into your head? Surely if you were trying to ‘get to know’ me, then you would already have noticed actions like that will do nothing to help or clear my head” He growled lowly again.
As Moz spoke, he paused to let his gaze flick briefly to Hester before he turned sharply away again. He had seen the tears falling down her cheeks. It made him angrier, if it was possible at the moment. What didn’t help was the frantic, loud beating of her heart, of the blood being pumped through her veins and arteries. Before he knew it, his teeth were bared again and he was clenching the chair arms to remain seated.

Her tears drying ,the gray clad woman tried desperately to think of something that would change his mind about her. Looking up slowly Hester said the only thing that came to mind. "Then turn me into a vampire." Slowly getting up, she went to hand him the key to his collar and the deed of his ownership. Silently she was setting him free.
Kneeling down, she exposed her neck. She hoped Ariana wouldn't interfere this time. She wouldn't be dying, but entering into another type of life. Hester waited silently, wondering what all her actions and feelings would amount to in the end as her heart pounded almost painfully in her chest. Knees tucked demurely under her, skirts spread wide all around her, at that moment Hester looked much younger then her years. Her bent head made her seem like she was examining something, one could imagine it was a tiny perfect little flower.

What ever he had been expecting, it certainly hadn’t been for her to say that. With still partially shaking hands, he took the key and deed, staring down at them in shock, then back up at the woman as she knelt down before him and exposed her neck. Oh how difficult it was not to comply, not to take her blood there and then.
Moz snapped himself back into focus, shaking his head sharply as he tried to move away from her. “Don’t be a fool!” He hissed fiercely. “Becoming a vampire will only place you into slavery and both Ariana and I would return to the market, even with these deeds” He murmured, gazing down at the woman with a look that told he obviously thought she was crazy. After a few seconds, Moz glanced frantically up at Ariana. She was better in these situations, she would know what to say to get Hester to stop talking such nonsense.

Ariana once again stepped forward and pushed the woman to her feet. She stared at her with a hard look. "We will stay and help you. Just do not hurt yourself. We want you to be happy and not be like us." She went to the woman she had pushed to a standing form and wrapped her arms around her waist giving her a hug. "Please."
She turned back to Moz and looked at him a moment. She smiled and went over to him. She gave him a hug to. She just wanted them to be friendly and get along.

In the end, Hester shook her head and went to her room not wanting to talk anymore for the night. Or morning rather since the sun was beginning to rise. She noticed when she went to close the drapes in her room. Settling in for a long awaited rest she closed her eyes and hoped the next night would be different and better. She drifted off to sleep slowly, promising herself that she would act differently the next day.
