So I might have a religion for thee firs ttimee ^.^

The other day my dad and I were walking through a shopping district that only the well-off can afford. However, some people go there to try and make money (street performers, bums, etc.). Every time we go there my father gives the same disabled, and extremely disfigured war veteran all the change in his pocket. I never would've done this before I'd seen my dad do it. I'd have walked quickly past him in fear like everyone else.

That man is the only "bum" I've ever seen that deserved the cash out of anyone's pocket, and he's the one no one gives it to. Thank you, dad. For showing me the value of non-judgmental eyes, and a courageous heart.

I gave that man the last dollar I had in my wallet at the time. It's easily replaceable money for me, but it will feed that man.

One of my co-workers gave me a hug today. He said I looked like I needed one. I had to take my boyfriend to his friend's house last night and don't get to see him again until tomorrow night, so I'm kinda missing him. Apparently, I looked sad, though I hadn't thought I did. Hugs are nice.

Today a friend of mine told me somewhat out of the blue that I was a good person. I've been feeling really shitty about myself and my personality lately. He pointed out to me that it's not all my fault sometimes and sometimes people just want to hurt me because they have the ability to do so and they want to make themselves feel better. Thank you, Chris. You don't know what you did for me.

I'm sick and stuck at home for awhile. The only easily accessible food I can get a hold of are the cookies, which is not sick person food but I just can't manage to make anything substantial right now-and I can't go to the store!

My roommate made me grilled cheese and got me water. She is amazing ^_^

but she took my cookies x.x oh well, for the best :P

During lunch when I'm hanging out with my friend and the guy I like keeps looking at me xD and I could tell that he is trying to get close to me but is too scared to. ^_^ It's so cute!
Also, when i'm in english class and these two guys are funny and laugh with me. Just the fact that they get really close to my face and smile. It's rare. Usually no one gets that close to my face (that's a guy) and SMILES at me. <3 It made me blush :oops:

I really like this thread. :) I love the little things in life... like being able to spend quality time with my little sister. I'm always on the go, either to college or work, but I finally have a little break. I miss seeing my family and I live with them!

Today...today I felt okay with myself. For once. For once I really felt okay. It was very nice.

I came home to register for some classes online tonight, and I've found out that I have to drop the one class I was looking forward to, and I can't get into the yoga class I wanted. I was glaring at the screen when I see my cat pop her head into my view and then proceed to sit on my keyboard. Thank you Misa. You made me feel better. :)

Today when I was sitting down where I usually sit with my friends and I look in the distance to the common area where the guy I like hangs out. But I look all over and I can't see him. And I get sad. But just as I'm about to give up. I look in the other direction, to my side and he is over there talking and looking at me. I bet he saw me trying to look for him. And he smiled .
xD It was embarrassing to be caught by him, but the fact that he smiled and kept looking at me made me really appreciate today. :]

Today, while everyone was stressed out at work due to the fact that we ended up with almost 3x the amount of people than there were reservations for(and we were only preped for MAYBER 45% of that number), someone made an off hand comment about either the bacon, or the Procusito crisps, by saying something about it being "stiff meat". And well, the Sous Chef who was helping out with wherever he was needed(at the time helping me put together 20+ salads, and other various cold items) just said in a very calm, off-handish way, "Thats what she said". Everyone in the kitchen, and the front of house manager, and 2 of the servers all started laughing. That helped us get through just over half of the lunch rush.

Another one from today was when one of the cooks who has been there for almost 2 years, and myself, were making the Meatloafs that we have at the restaurant. I was wrapping them in bacon, while he was forming them into balls. One of the servers came in and before seeing what we were up to, asked what we were doing. The baker we have on staff decided to say that we were pounding, and wrapping our meat...in a more crude way.

Talking to my boyfriend. and yeah, I think that should count. getting to tal kto the one you love,you never know what may happen. <3

Every day when I come into school, my friend Emily gives me a hug and asks me how I'm doing. I usually just shove her off because i'm not a morning person, but I still genuinely appreciate it. It brightens my morning.

Also, I might be getting a ukelele and a guitar. (:

A homeless man gave me an apple pie! :D

That sounds weird, so I should clarify. This one isn't from today, it's actually from the day before yesterday.
I was out in town, and stopped to give him a bit of money and say hello, wish him a good day etc. Later I was walking home, passed him again, and waved. He stopped me and gave me one of those Monopoly vouchers McDonald's gives out to claim a free apple pie.
He told me he was barred from McDonald's anyway. I offered to go in and redeem it for him, but he wouldn't have it; he said I should get it and share it with "the little one" (my daughter).

I just thought it was nice how someone can have literally nothing, but still be generous and think of other people.

Yesterday I went to my first science fiction convention, and then went to a larp with my friend. :) Just about perfect actually.

I got into my yoga class! I had been waitlisted for weeks, then I missed my first call when my waitlist came through, so I had to go back on the waitlist again for another week! I now have my position in the class solidified and tis all mine. Happy day!

Today I was given my grandmother's cross. It was the last thing my father gave her before she passed away. When you're given something like that you feel more loved than anybody in the world. Thank you, Dad, for giving me something that I will always love and remember. Something that is infinitely filled with the love of somebody I'll never know again.

Went for a walk at the marine, even though it was freezing. Got hissed at by a goose. Normally, not a good thing, but lulz ensued.

Went to a funeral today, but that wasn't the goodthing. At all.

At the end of this long, long day, I got a phone call from this sweetheartthing who talks to me sometimes. He said he was trying to imagine what it would have looked like if he had been with me (though he had no business being there)-- he would have just been this very tall person. So I could have hid behind him, if I wanted to.

It made me feel better.
I would have loved to have a hand to hold today, or a person to hide behind.
And by saying those things it's as though he reached into the past and gave me both, you know? End of the day. There's something at the end of the day, now, which helps me breathe and think that the day was worth daying after all.

Being woken up by my boyfriend by a call to my cellphone made my day (even though it woke me up, so it's not like I was having a bad day before that) I usualy sleep in the day and stay up all night. Have done that for about 12 years. But I'm trying to be 'normal' and even though he lives in a different country, he still gives me a wake up call every morning, even when he's at work. So I get to see the sun (still prefer the night though) and I get to start each day with a smile :3

Today my BF topped up his cellphone and texted me :3

I felt so special because he usually doesn't like texting and doesn't top up very often. Last week I had my tonsils and adenoids removed and its been really hard being on bed rest for two weeks :/ Last night I texted him in bed and told him I missed him and he should top up because I was feeling closed in and depressed not being able to go any where. Also not being able to talk very well means I cant amuse myself with conversations. Sure I appreciate my parents, aunties and grandparents looking after me. But it was a nice change to have my main
man text me to say he loves me and misses me too.

Also mashed potato helped make my day lol!
If you have ever had your tonsils out you'd understand that all you can eat is mash, ice cream, jelly, semolina, porridge and pouched runny eggs. So mashed potato with cheese was amazing!! After a week of mainly liquids potato was a treat... even if it did hurt real bad haha.

I notice...that my dog's ears are really fuzzy, and my boyfriend smells nice.

Rats are fun to play with. I noticed that a while ago. And they're really cute.

I hope to notice that my boyfriend gives really good massages.

I noticed last night that my father has a lot of pimples on his back, which was cool 'cause I got to pop them. ((I'm strange.))

Today I went driving because I had the day off and I just got to listen to the radio and think and drive. I love when I get that chance. :heart:

Today, I cooked a good meal. :) I'm in the process of learning how to cook, and I've gotten 11 recipes down. My asparagus soup came out well, and it made me happy.

Also, I just got to wake my wonderful, out-of-this-world, amazing and adoring husband, and we're talking on Skype right now (he's in another continent for half a year :().

You are totally not weird haha i do that too so its normal to me and everyone else are strange XD
